Michigan City Public Library Reviews
d
The library was designed by an architect world famous which also designed the library at the University I graduated from in Denver it is very open airy user-friendly professional and they just renovated it again the only problem I have is I wish they would move it off of Franklin Street and also the town hall so we could have a direct link to the lakefront like we used to have several decades ago otherwise it's perfect you'll enjoy your experience there and they're very helpful easy to get to easy to park close to the beach Happy New Year

Before you return any book, take photos of the inside and outside of the books. They tried to say a book I returned had water damage and wanted to charge me $20 before I could rent another book. The book was in poor condition when I rented it and I returned it in the same condition I got it in. I definitely did not do any damage to any book I ever rented. I will be going to Chesterton public library from now on.

Library is clean, well organized, and has courteous staff. Utilize the conference / meeting rooms regularly. Made suggestions regarding utilizing the rooms. The rules aren't as flexible to accommodate some remote workers but still, well maintained and useful.

Newly remodeled. Beautiful scene. A serene place to read

It was great. Employees were so kind and filled with humanity. They understood a little baby's heart. I want to participate in a donation program when announced.

After the remodel it's more accessible it feels like. It might appear that this location doesn't have the amenities as other Laporte county locations, but they do. They may be hidden but they're there. Anything you need to get done is doable, and of course a reasonably large collection of books and growing collection of DVDs.

The "High Tech" building won an AIA First Honor award in 1978 and still appears as contemporary as if constructed for today’s discerning follower of Helmut Jahn.
J
I take my preschooler here and she never wants to leave. There are plenty of books, kids, and games for her to be engaged for hours.
T
This library is super clean and well maintained. Has a great play and reading area for children.
G
This library is very comfortable well staffed safe and peaceful with plenty of charging stations and computers.
