On the surface, a great bank; however, there are many things that this bank has fundamentally wrong. One of the many small inconviences that are provided by this bank is that you may NOT log into, nor check the balance of your account on the mobile banking app past 12:00AM midnight, and if you have any problems with out-of-state travel transactions past 5 PM, well you're SOL because their office closes at 5:00PM sharp and there will be no one able to assist you.

I have been a member of this Credit Union for many years and I can say, without reservation, that this is great Credit Union that really does care about it members. I am also a member of three other Credit Unions and Meritus is by far, the best ! I honestly believe Credit Unions are user friendly and banks are not.

Had a great and personable experience. Angela Conque was great. If I could do it over again I would ask for her by name. She was more than knowledgeable and very kind. 10/10 would recommend.

Been doing business here for 35 years. Have multiple accounts and haven't lost any money yet.

My wife and I love dealing with Meritus. We just recently financed a truck with them, and they saved us so much money with low interest rates and by purchasing our warranty and gap insurance through them. If you’re looking for an awesome loan officer to deal with definitely look up Angela at the Lafayette location. She is the best!!!

Do you want to get no help at all and then be told, thank you, we appreciate your business? Go here. Want a bank who won't even open for 4 hours on Saturday when their members are actually off? Go here. If not, don't waste your time, find a bank who actually wants your business.

Amazing people. Great service. And when my wife was extremely I'll with cancer CEO and loan officers came by to visit. I can't say enough words to describe my gratitude for their service.

Does not keep customers informed of account information or status. Closes out accounts without notification and charges the customer to do so... So, basically if you open an account with them and don't check on it frequently, it's "Thanks for the donation!" Also, cannot reach a real person on the telephone.

I currently live out of state and I have called and emailed about my bill payer service not working on any of my devices and so I decided almost a month ago to not even use it all because I could even schedule a single payment online through mobile banking:-( . I decide to go with my other account from another credit union and have found it to be more successful with them as I am away from Louisiana. Also, LSCU has started to charge me a fee this month to use the bill payer product even though I haven't even utilized it. I'm trying to uninstall bill pay off of my account to avoid extra fees, but nothing is working and no one seems to know how to remove that service for me. If you want fast and efficient customer service for your financial needs, don't bank with Lafayette Schools Credit Union.
