Not to mention he allows you to negotiate unlike other pawn shops around here. He is extremely fair and helpful with all who need it. So go to Mel's Pawn Shop in Sioux City, Iowa, the only pawn shop worth mentioning. Just ask for Craig and bring your mask.

I had to pawn my camera and studio equipment about a year back. I had to move back to California and completely forgot that left behind all of my video equipment. I came back to Sioux city for the holidays and remembered that I pawned my stuff at Mel's! I was pretty sure that all my gear would no longer be there. To my surprise, the owner of the shop had ALL of my gear! I was able to get it all back at a VERY reasonable price! I can now continue with my video production endeavors. Thank you! if i could give you more stars, I absolutely would!

Owner is knowledgeable about the jewelery he sells and is willing to make a fair trade deal! I got a great ring from him and his jeweler does a great job sizing in only a couple days! Would strongly recommend his business! Very reputable!

Went in there to get a loan on my new Fire HD tablet just to get me by for a few days.What do I hear?"Oh I really dont take tablets because phones can do everything the tablets do,plus many phone are just as big"Anorher pawn shop that acts like this stuff is obsolete, like I bet my big Sony shelf system which is in new condition would probably be unpopular, the truth is if you fail to pay your loan, they put it out to sell,someone will want to buy.Guess I'll just hit up another shop I've gone to that I know will take my stuff

Fair to middlin on my item loan, helped me out to have the extra ten. Going back to pick it up was a bit more interesting. I had been stuck somewhere for a few days, already covered in travel grime, (dust, sweat, etc) and then baked for a few days until my check came in.. I know that I was not "pleasantly scented," but I couldn't shake the 'get outta my shop' vibe from the owner. The blonde, however, was totally nice and acted entirely as though my funk was no bother. 👍 he should give her a raise, if she isn't being paid right on good customer service. He wasn't rude, was tolerant, but she played it off better. Bailed my guitar Out, which all was smooth. Not much stuff in there, which is different from what I'm accustomed to seeing when I go into a pawn shop, though it's seldom. He's sorta picky, if I'm guessing right. Nothing wrong with that, it's different, that's all. Still, he has some nice stuff.

This was a very respectful, clean, & pleasant establishment to do business. I needed cash for an unexpected emergency and even though it was close to closing Mel took care of me. The turn were very clearly and easily described as well. This will be a first stop for me when looking to purchase, pawn, sell, or if I need a short-term loann in the future.

The pawn shop didn't really have anything to offer on the shelves. What merchandise was there was extrea8over priced for what it was. I won't be back
