The folks at Matador are top notch. Down to earth, very honest and transparent, super responsive… not your typical bloated big box bank experience. Mike Shaw was awesome and kept me updated every step of the way. They have a great workflow for mortgages, provide an excellent online experience, and got my refinance done super fast with the best rates I could find. My signing was even done by a mobile notary. Completed my full refinance in a couple weeks and never left my house. Saved a bunch of money in the end and would do it again in a minute.

Matador lending (professional, honest, fast) is a great company to work with on getting your loan. I heard about them from a family friend at their house warming party (I met Prashant "Petey" - The Loan Officer, who had gotten the loan). I bought a house in GA while in TX and they closed the loan from TX in 21 days. Petey was so good to work with that I always felt like he was working for me on my team vs. the lender's. Matter of fact, my realtor even told me that Petey and his team is really easy to work it. He made sure to work hard with his team, especially Janel R. who was on the back end helping to make sure everything was intact before he submitted the packet to under-writing with the aim to have no major surprises come back from them. He was available 24/7, when I called he made sure that he answered my call or at least acknowledged it if he cannot receive my call. He stayed a step ahead of me and kept me informed every step of the way. He finally got the loan approved without any appraisal in a very HOT sellers market and secured the loan for me.

Even before I secured my loan with them. I had a lot of questions and a lot of financial stuff to work through because I am self employed.
