Only a month after I spent $4400 on a car the engine started smoking and blew out. I was told to take it to a junk yard and sale for my money back. This has been a nightmare. I didnt have a car for 9 months and now I'm out of a car and a lot of money again. I just couldn't stop crying about it. I may never buy another cash car again.
Sorry you had a bad experience with your vehicle. We do the best we can to check out vehicles before and after we purchase them but unfortunately we never know when something after the purchase may occur which causes a problem to a used car. I made several suggestions concerning getting the car repaired and I believe I even looked up the price of a used motor with comparable mileage for you. As I recall you stated you could not afford to have the car repaired. That is when I passed on the information that wrecking yards were paying the most I had ever seen for vehicles and you might check and see what they would give you. I never would suggest that as the best option since everything else was fine and working on the car but if you were not going to have it fixed then that would have re-cooped some of your money. When new cars are purchased they come with warranties worked into the price. Unfortunately that is not the case with most used cars especially those that sell for $4400 out the door. That means it was a $3995 vehicle plus TTL. Massey Motors

Came in, told them my price range and the sort of car I was looking for. They showed me a good car well in my price range, warned me of the issues it had, and let me take it around for a spin. They set me up with a payment plan. I waited to post this review until a few months later--I've been burned by car dealerships before. But it's been at least half a year and the car they gave me is still running well with no problems. Excellent place.

I am a college student and I bought my first car here with my hard earned money, less than a year later I have spent as much fixing the car as I did buying the car. They had unhooked the radio so I didn't know the speakers were busted and give off a shrill high pitched sound when it turns on among MANY other things, they refused to give me the car facts and service reports from the previous owner stating they couldn't legally do that (which is entirely false). I should have known this place was shady but I didn't expect to be screwed this badly. I had to have a car quickly for school and work and I regret every day that I was able to get swindled.
Rarely do we receive poor reviews. Occasionally a used car will have problems that are unknown by us or they might develop problems after purchase. I never give previous owner information to a buyer due to privacy laws and the protection of personal information. Nor do I disclose buyers information to others. I do disclose any vehicle problems I am aware of. A used car usually works our well for the purchaser but they do not come with a bumper to bumper warranty like new vehicles. There is always some risk with a used vehicle but we do our best to check them over and disclose any known problems. And we do not unhook radios. Sometimes they are unhooked before MM purchases them .

If i could give less than one star I would. I was sold a really bad car. Needs a new fuel pump, speedometer and fuel guage are reading wrong so not sure if the odometer was right either. Ive only had this vehicle for a month. This was the first time I purchased from a lot and i could not be more disappointed, got warranty on the car but have yet been able to find someone who takes it, and the reviews of the warranty company (C.A.R.S Protection Plus), are horrible aswell. Now im back to not having a car and having to pay in alot more. Also paying for a warranty that doesnt do anything.
Massey Motors is sorry that you have had problems with your vehicle. I passed on the names of several mechanic shops that do warranty work for the warranty you purchased. As of the last time I spoke with you you had not contacted those shops. Some shops do not like to do warranty work but you had several to choose from. I believe you went on the Cars Plus monthly warranty plan and it can be canceled at any time. and is an excellent deal for the price. I have had other customers that were happy with that particular plan.
