Easiest loan process ever and fast and Angel was so nice and friendly and thorough

Our Loan rep was very personable and detailed! She explained everything thoroughly and kept us entertained during the long process! She made the trip short and pleasant!

I applied for a very small loan here with my girlfriend as a co-signer. We dealt with Maria who turned out to be seemed like she had it together but turned out to be unprofessional and patronizing when she realized I had a cash income and needed a co-signer for said loan. She decided not to deal with me and only with cosigner instead. She spoke to us like children over the phone prepending just about every new conversational item with "you know that _____ right?" with a tinge of condescension in her demeanor. Maria did not correspond in a professional or punctual manner and over the week of processing the paperwork, which seemed like an excessively long time, more often than not we had to call her instead of her calling us when she indicated that she would. Finally yesterday my co-signer called after waiting for the promised call back since Monday when we would provide proof of address and other details, the conversation went like this "Hi can i speak with Maria please?" "Maria is in the bathroom" (this was obviously Marias voice) "Alright this is (first name) can you tell her I called?" "Sure... I have your account up now you weren't approved" confused "Oh okay" "Have a nice day" *hangs up* This wasn't the only strange exchange either. How did she know who the caller was or that the loan was denied without asking for any other information? And why would they deny the loan before we came into the branch to show identification and proof of address? Honestly this operation looks really sketchy to me I hope they don’t do something fishy with our social security numbers. Do not use this bank for anything they need to retrain all of their people. This was the worst customer service experience I’ve had anywhere in my entire life. I’m only giving 1 star because I can’t rate them 0

Loan preparation person adds automotive mechanical breakdown insurance to your personal loan without asking then will not remove it. They have you over a barrel and you have to sign loan paperwork then spend your time contacting other company to cancel and try to get a refund to put money back on loan. If you try to use the short term disability insurance and your doctor writes you out for an extended time you have to have new paperwork filled out for every follow up appointment at your expense. Office staff, Alisha, Jessica and Sarah are of very little if any help. Run as fast as you can away from Mariner Finance in Egg Harbor Township,NJ.

This is my third loan with Mariner. EVERYONE and I mean Elyce, Jarret, and Angel and the rest of the staff are fun, comforting, non judgemental, PROFESSIONAL, looking out for you and arranging your loan the best way for your financial comfort. They are bankers yet somewhat like friends. When you go there you feel very at ease and they recognize you and make you feel as though they want your business. Alyce is especially great. As beautiful as she is outside, her demeanor is that beautiful too. I even thought about trying to work there because the atmosphere is so inviting. They are exceptional and always bring a smile to my face no matter what they have to tell me. My best, Mary Lou Frisch

The reason for my one star review is because of the amount of Interest charged on the loan Is unbelievable.I just reviewed my payments and on A $3,000 loan I have paid almost 1,400 in interest. Very little payment goes To the principal Most of the payment goes to interest🤯.I will say that everybody that I spoke to at the branch has been great

Mariner Finance was the only company who we give me a loan . I didn’t have a great credit score , but I was working on getting it better. They give me a second chance and approved me for a loan in 1 hours. The money was in my checking account the next day. I recommend anyone that’s trying to get their credit in order to apply for a loan with Mariner Fiancé. And I can’t say enough about the person who helped me. Great Job. Anita
