Marathon Bank Scott St, Wausau

The people here are great. I don't bank here, as I'm based in Point. In a pinch today, on MLK day, I needed a notary public. They helped me out through the drive up box, made photo copies for me, and even gave me a calendar. If I ever need a bank in Wausau, I'll definitely be going here. The people were so helpful, and friendly. Thank you all very much.

I called Marathon Savings Bank to gather info on their mortgage programs. Looked at their site spoke with a nice lady at their Rib Mountain branch and was transferred to their main branch at the Wausau location. Spoke with a Joanne who was very rude and clearly had better things to do than offer customer service skills. Before I had called, I spoke with 5 other Banks/Credit Unions comparing their programs. Everyone was helpful or helped me get to the right person; however this was not the case for Marathon Saving Bank. I was talked down to, cut off when I spoke, asked what I wanted, made asking about down payment required sound like a stupid question. Very disappointed especially since I spoke with a very knowledgeable and kind person named Scott earlier this week from the same bank. Guess I will take my down payment and 750+ score somewhere else.

The mortgage agent who worked with this bank( Amit Khurana ) we had the worst experience ever..... the amount of paper work they asked for which we provided and still we almost lost our house and 25,000 deposit.... they asked for so so much information which we provided and still we didn’t get anywhere with them do not go with them Everyday they promised us we will get our house they delayed our closing ..... we had to pay all the extra cost of the owners house and his laywer bec our closing was delayed .... we had to pay 5,000 extra in late expenses and getting a new laywer Unprofessional, lying to us, do not trust these ppl go with a bank thanks god we ended up going to a bank

I like this bank. I am so happy that they were willing to give me a mortgage loan after a bank I applied before refused to give me a mortgage loan. This is a great place to open a mortgage loan. It was fast and easy. I recommend this bank to many friends and family members and they were happy to have their mortgage loan at this bank. I would highly recommend this bank to anybody.

If you take out a loan with these amateurs prepare for little to no communication, delays upon delays, and chasing down Michelle in between her vacations to Arizona.

Always helpful, great LOCAL bank. Been with them for many years and will continue. Have had experiences with the large chain banks. Impersonal, and duplicit. They say they will do this, but end up doing something else due to "corporate decisions". Take it or leave it. No thank you.
