Love this team and highly recommend their services for anyone looking to purchase a new house or refinance. They are true professionals that make the lending process so painless and actually enjoyable. You appreciate them so much more if you have ever been through a painless loan process (which I have many times) where a lender keeps asking for a new document every day and has poor communication skills. John was our lead contact and a true pro. He was calm, educational and methodical throughout the whole process. He kept us updated every day and spent considerable time holding our hand, putting us at ease, and answering all of our many questions. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Main Street Mortgage. I've dealt with the big lenders (Wells Fargo and Rocket Mortgage) and ran into the usual headaches and problems. The service that Nathan Ouellette and John Mallett provided made the purchase of our most recent home completely different than what I've experienced with them. And to top it all, they gave us the best rate I could find while shopping our loan.

I would like to share a wonderful experience my buyers and I had with John Mallett at MainStreet Mortgage in Westlake Village. My buyers and I had looked for the perfect home for several months and found it. My buyers bank with one of the large national lenders, and have substantial investments with them. Their bank promised them an extremely good interest rate and assured them they would have their loan ready within the 30 day escrow period. Three weeks into the four week escrow, after they had paid $500 for an appraisal, their lender did not provide a loan for them. With less than a week before closing, I encouraged my clients to contact John Mallett at MainStreet Mortgage. He and his fantastic team pulled off a major miracle getting the loan approved at a wonderful rate, in one week! My buyers and I were truly amazed at the incredible customer service, attention to detail, and willingness to attempt the impossible. After our loan closed they were not helpful at all. I emailed them multiple times with one small question and they never responded. Wasn’t asking much. Super rude. They were only helpful when they wanted our money. Wouldn’t use again due to this, it shows their true colors.
