Worst Credit Union ever!!! I have a credit card that I can't use and can only make payments on. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Tried to get the issue resolved and kept getting transfered from one dept to another for over an hour with no results. I DON'T RECOMEND THIS CREDIT UNION TO ANYONE!!!!!!

Customer service is the pits. Most of the employees who I have dealt with are abrupt, curt and rude. Expenses for normal transactions are high. They charge $11 to allow you to make a credit card payment over the phone. They charge $5 for a couple of withdrawals from your own account. Once when I needed to make a fairly large withdrawal, the clerk looked at me as if I had three eyes. I literally turned around to see if there were a spectacle behind me. No. It was her response to me. In fairness, I have talked to maybe three customer friendly employees over my thirty years there.

Went into the main branch on today January 3 2022 and received excellent service! There were only 2 tellers who I believed named Arlisha and Bryant. Although there were about 8 people ahead of me with many more coming they both handled it very well and I watch them greet every customer before me and me with such professional and friendly service. Those two are awesome! Been a member since 2011seeing professional service go down the drain. Over the past few years up to now, MagFedCU has really improved in all areas especially with technology! They have the best online platform and the app is absolutely quick always in real time. Brianna Rawls, do not know what particilar area she works in, delivers top notch customer service that is awesome! I needed assistance with services and she was very quick and professional in responding with actual and consistent facts via email with all my concerns and questions.

I have had an account with them for about 15 years, my wife even longer. Customer service used to be great, but now it is horrible! It takes days to get a debit card. And you have to constantly wait on hold to talk to someone on the phone, and even then they may not be able to help. We had some transactions we didn't approve on Friday afternoon and didn't see it until that night. There is no number to call on weekends to help. Once we did get someone on the phone we were told that the overdraft fees we had gotten over the weekend wouldn't be reversed, which put us in the negative. We were told the transactions were "glitches" in the computer system. They then told us even though the transfers were not approved by us and we had already made arrangements with them, they would not reverse the payments or the overdraft fees. And this is not the first time this has happened. They used to be a great credit union that we encouraged people to use. No more. Customer service has gone downhill and the feeling of then caring about members is also gone. We will be closing all of our accounts with them ASAP.

Been banking with Magnolia for many years. There have been a couple of instances through the years where I was dissatisfied, but nothing like today. The person was very rude from the start, did not even say anything until the end of the transaction where she told us she couldn't help us. Very rude. I cannot imagine how she is even employed. I am looking for another bank. Not only do I have 3 accounts with you, but have had and paid off multiple loans. No more.

I’ve been with this company for years and I haven’t been disappointed! Never had a problem with my bank account or small loans. Any time my debit card was stolen or lost the replaced free. It has taken them a while before to replace, up to 2-3weeks. That was kind of difficult but you have the advantage of having an ATM card which most banks don’t have. Allows you access to your money in cases such as this. Hope my luck does not change with them because I’ve been satisfied thus far.

This is not a great bank, I have been with them for 6 months with direct deposit., and as everyone know if you do not have enough in your account you want use your card but here they will charge your card multiple time and will not even notify why they are charging you causing your account to be in the negative. Then when you call to get verification they act as if it’s your fault. There should never be a reason for my account to be in the negative and charged $30 everytime. They have to do better. I will not recommend anyone to this bank.

This credit union could care less about it's members. What is sad is that they used to have loan officers and other personnel who truly cared and took care of members. I have been with this credit union for 7 years and have always been able to get loans or other services with no problems. The past couple of years, every loan request I have sent is has been denied. I have been an excellent member who always pays loans and my credit cards off early. I don't know what has happened to this once great place, but it's at the bottom of the barrel now. Horrible customer service, uncaring management and loan officers and just an overall condescending attitude from many who work there. I will be taking my business elsewhere as soon as I pay off my credit card. I would NEVER recommend this awful place to anyone!

They always have a good number of tellers and can see me through the line quickly. Never had a problem here.

I would strongly encourage everyone to look elsewhere for banking options. They claim their decisions are based on more than a score. They claim you're more than a score and an account number. They claim to focus on your well-being. This is all stated on their website. However, you won't see this review when you walk in the branch and they scroll through reviews on screens in front of the tellers. Why? Because like everything I have been told over the past 8 months, if it is not beneficial to Magnolia Federal, they don't care. I rarely write reviews. However, sometimes you need to stand up to misleading and deceptive organizations claiming to be the "Best". I agree with the swath of other reviews about service. Its pretty shameful when McDonalds has better service than a financial institution. Also, whoever responds. Save it! I already emailed and called. You know what I got told.........Absolutely nothing of value.

Been with the company for years. Opened it when I joined the military thinking it would be nice to have a credit union while traveling. Total nightmare. I am always having to call to fix some issue. With locked accounts on weekends and Insane overdraft fee. Every time I call people are rude. Had one lady tell me that the time she had to help me had exceeded and it had not even been 3 minutes of talking, 10 of which I spent on hold I guess in hopes I would hang up, and then she couldn’t help me and tried to pawn me off and that’s just one thing. Never put your money in this bank. Worst bank I’ve ever had in life. I would probably defeat someone to this bank if I had true hatred for them and even then I’ll still feel bad.

This Credit Union has really changed. Customer (used to be Member) service is obviously not a top priority. I came to Magnolia from a big bank where I was just an account number. The excellent service and being able to speak to a person was huge to me. THINGS have changed. I moved from the Jackson area but continued to do business with Magnolia because I felt like a valued member. After having deposits rejected, talking to service reps that do not treat you like a member, and now they want me to pay $20 for a new debit card that was mailed to the wrong address. Things are headed in a very bad direction here. It is obvious new management cares about their pockets. What happened to a Non-Profit organization that caters to its members? I would be better off at a big bank where it is at least convenient if I’m gonna be treated like a nobody. FYI, I have been a member for 9 years at least.

If you have ANY other banking options than Magnolia Federal, I emphatically suggest you use a different bank. The manager at the Yandell Rd branch deposited a check for my wife into savings rather than checking without my wife being aware. She wrote a few checks that of course bounced due to the funds being in the incorrect account. The branch and manager refused to make it right, placing the blame on my wife, even refusing to call us back, making us call and track her down over the course of this week. We've yet been able to get her on the phone, only intermediaries without authority simply passing along her "notes." We will be closing our accounts first thing Monday morning. I truly wish I had to option to give less than a one star rating.

It is so sad that I am a hard working person and this facility makes money off people for a dime or penny. Customer service is bad. I went to withdraw from my savings account and it stated I did not have any money in it. So it let me get the amount out of my checking because I knew there was money. I looked at my account and it stated I was 209.00 negative in my checking. I went to my account on line and there was money in my savings. I then withdrew the amount and put it back in my checking which in turn still had me 36.00 negative. I used my card and had money at the time of the transactions but was still charged 30.00 for a 5 dollar and something transaction and another 30.00 for a 40.00 gas transaction. It appears that the bank has no understanding of their customers. I have loans and never had that problem with their customer service. Most banks and credit unions have an understanding of their customers. I never call or try to ask for credit it I was wrong. If this happens with everyone the credit union is making a killing. I know customers that have been charged 30.00 for less than a dollar. This is not fair treatment to their customers.

As you can see by the majority of the reviews, this CU is absolutely terrible! I have been a member for 14 years. I am limited to what I can do to access my money. They make it extremely difficult. The employees do not return calls. I left 4 messages with 4 different extensions hoping to get information for a car loan, but no one returned my calls. If you are traveling and need more than the 300 atm limit, the max you can withdraw from a shared branch if you can find one is $1000. I am extremely Disappointed and the low level of customer service that I have experienced over the last year. A definite contrast from the way it was 10 years ago. The management team should all be replaced imo. I will be closing my account next week.
