Brian Cottrill and staff did it again! We got our first home financed through them (when they were called Leader One) and now, almost three years later, they helped us refinance. The process took longer than we expected, but it was worth it. We got an excellent rate, lower monthly payment and we expect to pay off our home much sooner. Brian is always a pleasure to do business with. He’s personable and knowledgeable. The new website at Luminate makes it easy to upload documents and check out the status of the loan, all the way up to the final signing. I would recommend Brian and Luminate to anyone looking for a loan!

I would recommend Brian to anyone looking for their first home. Something that was really important to us when we were looking for a lender was working with someone that wouldn't make us feel stupid for not knowing what we were doing or how the process worked. When we first met Brian I knew he was our guy. He explained everything to us, was kind, and was beyond helpful. It felt like he was genuinely getting to know us. He came to our closing, and explained every aspect of our monthly payment perfectly. The only reason I took a star away is because throughout the process we were working with multiple people from his office. At times they contradicted each other, and it was clear there wasn't proper communication between them at the office. Brian handled the situation swiftly, and apologized to us. I am looking forward to working with Brian again on our future home purchases!

Brian comes off very friendly on your initial phone call and that he is always there to help you, but after applying with him as he directed, we never heard back from him directly again (and we applied over a month ago). After sending in all the required paperwork we never heard back on the next steps, if we were approved or denied, and neither him nor his office returned any emails or phone calls. We were instantly approved at a local Credit Union for a mortgage and the process was significantly quicker. Beware of this place!!!

I have worked with Brian and his team at LeaderOne on 2 personal transactions and over 15 business transactions this year. As a licensed real estate agent you really get to know bankers/mortgage brokers. I can honestly say Brian is one of the best and he is at the top of my list for recommendations. His knowledge, expertise and availability is unmatched.

We have been trying to close on our house for several months now. Phone calls and voice mails go unanswered and unreturned. We were never informed that our mortgage application had been approved or for how much we had been approved for. I am just thankful that we are purchansing our home from our landlord because there is no telling how many homes we would have lost out on due to lack of communication. Very disheartening because LeaderOne has so many good reviews and came so highly recommended by a trusted realtor. This is our first home and we are very discouraged and disappointed in the whole process.

I initially reached out to leader one per a recommendation from my realtor. Within a day or two I recieved a call back from Brian and was advised to give all my information through the app and we would go from there. After I gave my information is where the problems started. I was told so many different things. I would call and not get calls returned in a timely matter. I basically gave up on getting house or a loan. I didn't even know what I was qualified for. Fast forward 4 months and I tried to reach out as I was determined to get a place for my family. Again, I recieved no response. I ended up going with a different lender. After reading further into reviews it sounds like several people have had the same issue.

Brian was great to work with! We closed on my house in under a month, and I am so thankful for all the time, work and effort they put in to help me get into my first home!! Highly recommend!
