Don't be in a hurry or you will get stressed and forget something. Whenever I started to feel stressed I would call William and he would reassure me and tell me in detail how each step takes and this eased my stress. The world is in a hurry all the time. Take a deep breath and then let it out. You can do this because these people are a good team. Oh and whatever you do hold onto the amount that you normally pay your current mortgage lender. I got everything I needed from Loan United, especially the interest rate. Near the end of the process of closing out the loan agreement, they seemed to sort of slow with miscommunication between each other. Martha seemed as she was new to her position as it seemed as the reason the end process of slow. The main agent that I've conducted more with on the loan was very helpful and made sure I was satisfied, his name was Roderick Dunn.

Two stars because I did get a decent rate. My loan officer was pleasant enough. However, it took 9 months. I was also promised reimbursement of my late fees incurred while waiting for several closings that were subsequently moved. I have emails from my loan processor indicating that the late fees would be paid after closing. We are almost three months post closing and they have not reimbursed any late fees and they have stopped returning my calls or answering my emails. I would not recommend using this organization again.

Hello, my Name is Clinton, and I worked with Roderick and his team to refinance my home in Texas. Him and his team were great! I had recently been severely injured and was struggling to keep up with things, rehab from my injury and refinance my house. Roderick was very patient with me and worked with me to get a really low rate; nearly 2% lower than the original loan and lower than 1.5% of what other institutions were offering. He throughly explained things i didn't understand. I would definitely recommend him to others as he was recommended to me by my sister who he also assisted in refinancing her home. I am looking to work with him again in the near future as I am looking to purchase more property! You can’t go wrong with Roderick and his team!!!

CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! We have excellent credit and applied on 1/28/2021 for a loan with our current lender and LoanUnited.com at the same time and both offered a 1.75% rate on a 30 year mortgage which was unheard of but true. We went with LoanUnited because James Nobles was nice/knowledgeable and the closing costs were slightly lower. LoanUnited approved our loan on 2/15/2021 and sent us notice it was approved. What James Nobles didn't do was lock our rate and misled us that he had done so. When we continuously asked about it he said not to worry that we were approved through "blah blah blah" lender and the closing date was scheduled for March 12th. When we started pushing him for proof of the lock he started lying and trying to put us off then he went completely silent. We called the office and were hung up on by others including when we asked for Sushi Gulati the "owner"? Bait and switch is when borrowers are promised attractive terms upfront to win your mortgage business but then fail to deliver those terms when it comes time to close your loan. Changing terms at the last minute when borrowers are desperate to close their loan. In our case we should have just signed the rate lock loan estimate with our current lender at that 1.75% rate and it would've been locked and our VA IRRRL refinance would've been done by now. Instead LoanUnited has cost us thousands of dollars with their extremely dishonest practices. I'm reporting them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and VA because they are preying on our Veterans and using the VA IRRRL program to do so. STAY AWAY AND LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE!

I have been told that Texas can be a very difficult place to secure a loan . I have lived in Texas all my life and have found out first hand that it is very true. So I decided to give Texas loan businesses the boot. i called Loan United and on the first ring a woman answered the phone. She identified herself as the Senior Loan Manager, Melisa Tucker. Where do I start? I’ve worked with Gerald Strickland on 2 refinances. My initial loan rate was 4.25% and now I’m at 2.25%, got a cash out to reduce high interest debt and am now saving over $1000.00 per month. That does not include the savings from the second refinance which was about $300.00. In total I’m saving $1300.00 per month and if you include what I save over the life of the loan you’d be smiling just like I am! Gerald led me through the steps each on each refi, confirmed my eligibility quickly, and was able to secure me an awesome rate. He went the extra mile in every way and even made himself available on the weekend to advise me of closing docs being available and status updates (I wanted to close fast to ensure the rate would not change - call me paranoid). Gerald knows his stuff and being completely knowledgeable on the refi process allowed him to provide answers to questions that I had, provide answers to questions that I was going to have, and sped up the closing process, keeping everyone aligned and in sync (mostly me) so that we could each do what we needed to do for a successful loan closing. So long as you do your part and are honest with your info, you’ll have success with Gerald as your officer. I was informed every step of the way and I closed in no time despite having a trust created and waiting for the VA to provide approval. You cannot go wrong with Gerald on your side. All of my e-mails were answered promptly so I was never left wondering where we were in the process. My experience was horrible! I was working with Mr. McFarlane and I have so much regret working with this individual. I have a lot of regret trusting this company with my first home purchase using my VA Loan. This Sr. Mortgage Lender had a hard time answering questions for me. Just a “here sign this”, type of treatment. I closed Sept. 9th, which was a cluster AND up until Oct. 14th, he was still asking me to verify employment for an investor. The loan servicer on my closing documents isn’t even the same company. So was it made up? He didn’t even tell me. The company sent me an email and I emailed him asking who it was. With all the scams going on, he brushed it off and basically told me to call them myself. What is his purpose if I have to figure this out on my own? The lack of communication and care from him is why I would never recommend this company to another Veteran. I was trying to leave it alone and move on but his lackluster care for me as a customer continues and the reason I had to write this review. I’m tired! Its drama! I see all of these nice reviews but my experience was not the same and I’ll never forget how I was treated. Never.

They never call you back or answer your email. You have no idea what is going on. They claim a fast closing but it's been weeks longer than what they said and have been completely ghosted for weeks. I would of been better off using my current bank since I was promised no fees but after 2 months they said I would have to pay some closing costs. They could have really messed up my credit since they told me not to pay my mortgage and then I found out we were not close to closing and had to pay a late fee. I would not recommend this to anyone especially veterans. 2 stars for the low rate. Don't tell me to call you. I did already several times and emailed. You wouldn't give me any answers the process took months long. I had to leave a bad review on BBB to get a response. After that I got a rate lock at 2.25 % I did have to pay for some fees I wouldn't of had to if we were able to close in a reasonable amount of time.

I was initially skeptical of using a Lender without a big name attached. However, I reached out to get info and was floored by the low rate that was much less than everywhere else I looked. After shopping around and watching the rates for a year I decided to go with Loan United. I was honestly hesitant due to some of the bad reviews I've read and the fact this business hasn't been around very long. My loan agent Bryan Wegner got me a historically low 1.75% on my refi. for a 30 yr. My goal being to pay more towards principal and pay off the loan as fast as possible. Given my extremely busy work schedule and our time zone difference's we were still able to complete the loan in no time. Paper work and effort on my part was minimal given it was a VA IRRRL. My loan is now complete and everything properly set up. (I can now breathe a sigh of relief ) I would recommend this company for their great rates but more specifically Bryan Wegner for his flawless execution of the entire process. This was the worst loan refinance ever. We started August 11th and didn't close until October 8th due to their many mistakes. The term was changed, they didn't get the Title Company right, they kept trying to roll all the costs into the loan which we didn't want to do. It was a hot mess.

When I first bought my house I inquired with at least 3 loan officers during this process and by then, I was overwhelmed with indecision. I have excellent credit and began shopping for refinance options in mid-Jan 2021. By 1/19/2021, I had several great offers. I selected LoanUnited because Toren Robinson offered a package that included competitive rates on multiple refinances; so he said. I requested rate locks by 2/2/2021. And then things began to unravel. LoanUnited: --wouldn’t honor the 2.875% locked loan rate, because it was only internally locked and they had “forgotten to lock it with the lender.” It would cost me $1900 in points for the 2.875% rate, otherwise the rate would be 3.25%. --refused to honor lender credits --changed rates, loan amounts; provided inaccurate closing documents, experienced processing errors, and cancelled closingsmultiple times -- did not provide final closing disclosures prior to the notary arriving for any of my 3 closings -- appeared to be trying to get me to walk away, rather than honoring their terms. I repeatedly asked to have my situation elevated and to speak with a supervisor. I was never able to communicate with anyone who could resolve the troubles LoanUnited caused. On 3/19/2021, Toren called 30 min before a scheduled closing to cancel and finally provided a contact number for Sushi Gulati. No one answered nor returned the call. I also called the company office and asked for Sushi’s extension. The call was disconnected (multiple times). Later, Sheryl Green (a loan supervisor) did call me but conversations with her only resulted in more excuses. Their initial rates were great which attracted me to work with them, but LoanUnited’s delays, lies, and unwillingness to honor their own locked loan estimates will cost me thousands of dollars. STAY AWAY!

I read through their website, looked at reviews and at the Better Business Bureau and decided to give them a try. I was just looking to gather info but received a call from James Murrill, who ended up being my Loan Officer. I have done VA IRRLs before, but this was the easiest and most straight forward refinance loan process I have gone thru. I provided the documents they requested and started the process. James kept me appraised during the entire process and there were no surprises. The questions I had were answered quickly and professionally. The changes that were made to my initial loan amount were answered and explained fully, and I had absolutely no issues with James or any of the other LoanUnited personnel I had contact with. Overall it took a little over a month from when I talked to James to close on my loan. I appreciate the professionalism of James and would recommend others who are looking to refinance their VA loan using their IRRL process. Thank you.

I am very pleased with the loan processing at Loan United. David Reninger is always available and very responsive to answer all questions and walked me through the entire loan process every step of the way. He was also very upfront for expectations and helped me save a great deal compared to my previous loan. Other loan companies could not (or would not) offer the rate I was able to close with by working through Loan United. It was very easy and thanks to David for making it all come together. We are now saving $600 a month in payment and thousands off of the life of the loan....couldn’t be happier.!

Jesse was my representative. He did a great job. My only complaint is communication. Underwriters are not communicating to Jesse. My refi took a long time. Jesse was unable to give me status updates because of the backed up process. LoanUnited took forever to provide a closing date. On the closing date, my new loan payment was significantly higher by $200. This was a shock to me. Jessee tried to convince me that the refinance was a great deal. He became unprofessional. I will no longer recommend LoanUnited to anybody. Also, I was not provided the best available rate for my refinance. I have a half point lower rate. This shows me that LoanUnited is taking advantage of VA loans.

Several days ago I closed on a IRRRL loan using Loan United as the initial broker. I have nothing but praise for the experience and in particular want to give the highest praise to Darrell Beaudoin my loan originator. In my initial contact with Darrell he quoted me a rate of 2.75%, it was not a bait and switch, that is the rate I just closed on. Darrell handled the entire process with my needs in mind, never failed to respond to a phone call or e mail, and put me at ease during the whole process. I hope Darrell is a representative of the philosophy at Loan United, and I would recommend Loan United and Darrell in particular to anyone. Remember that they are brokers, and seek to find you that best rate according to your circumstances and qualifications., each individual might differ. Do your homework first by knowing your credit history, gather the documents that the loan originator advises that you will need, and provide them in a timely fashion. We had a great experience! First, our sales representative/loan coordinator is a ROCK STAR!! Melisa Tucker must the be hardest working and talented person in the business! She didn't take me on the roller coaster ride that is the usual approval process. Rather, she kept us informed and fought hard behind the scenes to make sure our file was solid! The process of qualifying is always challenging, but Melisa made it work, kept it rolling, and in the end we were successful. If it hadn't worked in our favor, I know it would not have been due to a lack of effort or poor management - Melisa did a great job!

The loan process was a breeze and pretty easy, however the loan documents consisted of so many pages I couldn't find the actual lender who would be servicing my loan. It was an investment property and the lender didn't send my docs to the correct address, so I struggled to figure out how to make my first payment. Once my loan was funded my loan officer stopped responding to emails... Everything else was great though.
