Great and peaceful walk, nice little stream, friendly people on the path, helps you think and clear your head. Also saw a crane on a stream and a bird that looks like "angry birds" 😂

Great spot for running and biking. Flat. Lots of paved trails, so it is great for little kids learning how to bike. They also have picnic tables. And very modern and clean bathrooms. Police was present on the parking lot (at least a car was there). Definitely coming back.

Beautiful walk on a clear and well maintained path. You can't beat the fresh air to clear your head and keep you fit. I encourage you to take photos so you can pause and connect to what you see - enjoy! Wrap up warm 😉

This park has nice paved trails for biking, walking and jogging. The park has a small lake at the entrance with benches and small brooks along the trails. We went bike riding there during the weekend and the trails are very peaceful, quiet and scenic. Some areas are shaded with trees while other areas are more open space. We rode for an hour and a half, taking breaks and sitting on the many benches along the trails to relax. It's a great area for a safe, family friendly ride.

This is good place. Try to come early otherwise you will not get parking lot. It's having good trails and park to spend full day. Here are barbeque points also so you can cook and eats

Lovely place to walk, bike, jog, walk your dog or bring your family as you stroll down shade and sun woodland paved path. Everyone said hi because we are all so happy to have the heatwave ending. Please remember to leash your dog. Thank you. Most owners very responsible and met so many new breed fur babies. No playground at the moment for young children.

This park has paved paths for biking and has a loop of ~8 miles. I completed the bike trail in almost an hour. Beautiful park and trails. Maps are difficult to understand initially. I just tried doing all the possible paved path and was able to complete the loop.

Great park to walk through. Tons of shade. Main path is a mile long.

A good place to visit once...if you are living nearby then a good trail for walks...nothing great though...

Well maintained park with plenty of trails so you don't have to fear being run over by a car. No trash. Trails are free of debris.

Whether you want to walk, jog, roller skate, or bike, this park is definitely underrated. It is long and has both paved and unpaved gravel trails. It is flat so it is definitely excellent for someone who does not enjoy hills or climbing. There is plenty of parking especially if you go during the week.

I have been a resident here my whole life, and nothing makes me feel more refreshed and renewed than Loantaka Park. Just take a half hour for yourself walking the trails and walk it just for the singular sake of doing something without a reason. You will take in the natural surroundings and benefit from the atmosphere. Everyone gets along pretty well, everyone goes at their own pace. I was sadden to see the recently posted signs for locking up your cars and minding your belongings, where before that wasn't necessary. Still the park is lined with majestic trees, and sometimes the pond has swans. Overall very scenic and a much needed escape from everyday life.

Great place to hike or bike!

An exceptional park with miles of trails and well-maintained, as are most Morris County-based parks. While the landscape could benefit from some cleanup of old fencing and unkempt brushes, overall I walked half the mileage and am eager to complete the rest at a later date. There are various entry ways in which offers ample parking, latrines, picnic areas, benches and even a playground with some workout stations along the way. I do a LOT of hiking throughout Morris and Sussex and this is being added to my list for location and scenery.

Love this place. Can ride your bike or walk for miles on paved paths that are twisty turny. Extra nice that most of the paths provide a cool shade from the trees… especially nice when it’s hot outside.

I love the trail it has the smooth black top so you can ride your bike or anything with wheels also easy to walk one very peaceful one the better trails out there

This is a great place for a family sunday. You can run, walk, skate, ride a bicicle or even a horse. The whole trail is very easy without hill. The view is peaceful and beautiful. I will recommend for anyone with kids that want to burn some energy before meal. You can also walk you dog (with leash). Definitely I will keep bringing my family each weekend.

This is a great park that offers so many different activities. The paved path that goes through the woods is tremendous. Open fields, baseball field and bike paths to name a few features. I would highly recommend this park if you live in Morris County. An Annual 5k and Skeleton Run raises money for Childrens Hospital.

We went here for the first time. It was so good. Really a big hiking trail and very calm place for your walk. They even have a picnic kind of area near the lake. A very good experience.

An absolutely beautiful area with miles of walking trails through and around the woods. A very peaceful setting that is so easy to get to. It's hard to believe your just minutes away from major highways. The area is extremely well kept and the trails are groomed. Would be ideal for cross country skiing in the winter as well.

Trail is good for walking, jogging etc. Best part is the cycling option. One can rent cycle and have nice cycling experience.

A great park! 7+ miles of paved trail with lots of ups and downs, great for running biking, etc.

This place is usually pretty packed when it’s nice out. It has both paved and unpacked trails, restrooms throughout the park and I’ve never had an issue with foot or bike traffic while running there. Sometimes there will be some adult league soccer games or other outdoor events that I’ll sit by and watch after my runs. Take a look if you haven’t already!

Great place for a walk.. aka non stress hike in the woods

We come here a couple times a week to longboard on the various trails and it's amazing. Smooth, quiet and peaceful. They just implemented bike share and it's livened up the area quite a bit.

Loantaka is a great place to walk,jog,ride a bike, or walk your dog.I go there all year around. There are many different paths both paved and unpaved

Visited for the first time based on reviews. Paths are mostly paved and great for my friends with a baby in a stroller and an almost 4 yr old. Agreed with other reviews, the amount of horse poo is a lot, but limited to short stretch. Keep your eyes and ears open for cyclists but everyone shared the trail. Truly a great escape.

Love it here. Huge park, large paved trail as well as a parallel dirt trail. Perfect for biking or walking. Gets crowded during prime times, like summer weekends. Definitely worth a trip if you are local and like parks.

Pulled off the highway, heading to Boston, for rest, lunch break and rest room visit all near this lovely, shaded park; much better than a highway rest area. Great to take a break from long driving.

I run here almost every weekend. It gets pretty packed after 9am but it's a great place to run and leisurely ride a bike. You can't cut through fast because of all the pedestrian traffic but lots of bike groups meet up here and do road rides.
