Liberty Tax S Church St, Burlington

i have to say that everyone in this location was awesome, I had a problem with my return with my preparer and could not be resolved. I walked in for some advice and they spend over an hour to help me and got my issue solved. they were friendly, very professional and really care about their client 9 my case that I was not even a client) I would highly recommend them.

My wife and I have used liberty for several years. This year I made appointment for my wife to come in and pick up at 1200 explaining that she had to get off work to sign and pay. There was 4 waiting for theirs. The lady said all 4 family's had a 1200 appointment which was a lie. We won't be back

DO NOT go to this Liberty tax on S. Church Street! They charged me almost $400 to do a basic (single, no dependents) return!!! The total amount I was owed was only $1000!!! Ashley was terrible, rude, and very shady acting! The other girl did not even know how to file taxes! It took 2.5 hours for them to get my return filed. Ashley was asking for me to email my information to her PRIVATE email!!!!! (ASHTIGER was the address she said to send to) customer service with the Greensboro headquarters and with the OWNER of the place was the worst that I have ever experienced!!! She (the owner) had called me to literally ARGUE with me about me being able to get the free copies and help, that is stated in the guarantee that they gave me, saying that it is against their policy to give me a copy of MY RETURN that I need for the irs for this year because they have to verify my identity. I've never had any issues with the irs before I used liberty tax and now I'm stuck dealing with rude people calling me and no money!!!!!!!!!! They are con artists! Save your money and time and just go to H & R BLOCK.

Charged twice for tax return. Very unprofessional business and won’t go back.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a business that offers the public a service. I was ask evasive questions while trying to file my taxes, and accused of lying about a dependent. The tax preparer took my paperwork and asked me to leave after I decided that I didn't want her to complete my tax return. And refused to give my copies of my personal information back to me.

I switched to Liberty Tax this year after using H&R block for years before!! WORSE MISTAKE I'VE EVER MADE!!! The costumer service is HORRIBLE!! The staff is unprofessional and rude!! I was charged 560.00 to have a basic tax prep on a 1099 done and the girl that did the takes had no clue what she was doing and had to continue to get assistance from the other lady in the office. After a couple weeks of waiting for my return I received a letter from the IRS requesting I got a copy of this year's and last year's tax return or a 1040! When I went to the office on South church Street I was told by a tax assistant named Ashley told me that she could not give me proof of MY TAX INFO!! Frustrated I got assistance from another branch located in Burlington which was very helpful and gave me what I needed in less than 10 minutes. I then filed a complaint with the main branch and was later contacted by THE SOUTH CHURCH ST BRANCH OWNERS WIFE whom proceeds to tell me that there is nothing they can do for me " it's not their branches policy to provide me with AGAIN MY TAX INFO THAT I SIGNED AND WAS NOT GIVEN AT THE TIME OF PREPARATION!! She also proceeds to tell me after I asked about the outrageous fee amount to prep my taxs again which was 560.00 that "well you signed the papers didn't you" ? So I guess it's OK for a business to rush people through paper work and have them sign documents they did not get a printed copy of to read over so they have no clue of what's going on! Long story short this place is HORRIBLE and I was totally unstratified and will proceed to do whatever it takes to make their wrongs right so maybe the next PAYING CUSTOMER can get better service.

Customer service is not good. You take appointment still have to wait 30 min. And not finished tax return in one go. Charge is high for basic return
