Liberty Financial Branch Creek Reviews

I would avoid Liberty Financial. We refinanced our house with them but instead of making mortgage payments from our bank, we were forced to open a checking out with their bank, so we had to schedule withdrawals from our bank to transfer to theirs. At first it was no problem, but when our payment changed slightly due to an escrow adjustment, our bank started making double withdrawals. It took us forever to figure out how this was happening and it took a while to get to talk to the right person so we could stop the madness. To top it off, Liberty has a limit on how much money you can transfer, so I had to do it in small amounts at a time to put the money back into our checking account. To be fair, the lady on the phone who finally helped me with our problem was very nice and helpful.

Tyler Coffman has been amazing , he is always sweet and so sincere and made me opening up my checking out so simplified along with my credit card . His smile is so welcoming. I moved here from Lexington, Ky and wanted to bank with a small credit union. Paige Ruiz is so sweet , she is beyond welcoming with her smile ... that girl so deserves a raise. Eathen Rainey is also so welcoming and sweet. That guy works extremely hard and I applaud him for all his dedication to the credit union. All my best, Jessica Pence

Concur with a previous poster. Went through the entire online process to open a checking account and waited weeks for a response. I eventually had to contact them to see what was going on only to be told I've been "declined" for a checking account. Apparently some secretive "score" criteria was not met. When pressed on what that "criteria" was, they were unable to disclose any information. I'm dumbfounded. I have no negative marks on my credit report, no chex systems footprint....what could they possibly be looking for? What prestigious criteria is needed to have a checking account with a small credit union? I only wanted to support teachers, but apparently they don't want or need it. Don't waste your time on this one.

Horrific customer service and unexplained fees. Steer clear at all costs! Just another company trying to move to the area and capitalize on our growth.

Would have loved to give my business to them, however we did not qualify for a checking account. Went through the entire online process, gave all my personal information and numbers to them, had no indication we would be "declined" for a checking account. I had to call to find out they give you an arbitrary "score" to determine your eligibility and cannot explain to you why and no one contacts you for days to tell you that, "hey, that large deposit you gave us your debit number for wont be accepted because we will not be taking your money or getting your business." I have never been declined for a checking account in my life. Sort of dumbfounded honestly. Feels like financial discrimination. I was teacher for a decade and would have loved to support an organization started by teachers. I'm now wondering how many hard hits my husband and I got on our report, just to open a checking account?!!? Dont waste your time! When the teller transferred me to "e service" to get an "explanation" of our "score" the lady asked me for a pin and couldn't even tell me how I would have obtained that pin since I don't actually have an account. She was rude and didn't help me at all! Avoid them!

Great credit union with great customer service, whether it's on the phone or in person. The interest rates are a nice bonus. I would recommend over one of the "big" banks.
