This store is closed and likely going out of business. There is a sign on the door saying you have to call on Wednesdays for an appointment, but the phone number is out of order! Also, they are not buying any items.

Tried to rip off my girlfriend. She want to pawn her bracelet he wrote up a sale slip and tried not to give her a slip at all.but she got the loan and the loan receipt. We went back in less then a month , He could find it ,Then I saw it in one of the display cases he was trying to sale it and he did something to it cause it didn't look or weigh the same. He won't answer questions i asked him?

If your trying too basically sell anything you think they might be interested in, dont bother going here, they make you feel un comfortable and like there just trying too hurry you out the store or will low ball you to were they could just said no thanks, on top of never acually have any knowledge about anything not gold.. and even then they will profile you the second you walk thu the door and can also Tend to be verry disrespectful like whatever your offering is stolen, i felt like i was doing more their job than them showing them anything... verry disappointing. Also depending on what you bring in to try and sell, if the guy isnt working that day, whoever’s there when you walk in will tell you to come in when that specific person with knowledge on your item is working, in other words one cant really opperate without the other and thers always one guy working that doesnt know anything....dont go here.... RUN!!

There is more to the store than meets the eye. My first impression way bleak. The store looks empty, and as a coin collector I nearly walked out. The selection in the cases is extremely limited. The secret: all you have to do is ask. Once I asked the gentleman behind the counter if he had any other collectible/eccentric coins he proceeded to show me tons of inventory they keep in the back. They have a large variety of silver coins. They have every denomination of silver from a dime through a dollar, including bullion. I would stop here again and plan to next time I pass through Tahoe. However if you're looking for a CC they won't have one. They lost a star because I wasn't taken seriously at first as a collector, and they didn't have the exact coin I was looking for because they don't keep them for sale in the store (CC). As a final note they do not sell coins with a Numismatic grading.

This place is a joke!!! Took me and my husband rings here and over a month they did nothing went to pick them up and they were clueless on sizing my husbands ring and fixing mines which was dirtier than I left it.

Called to see if they could cash a state check for a local, who graduated same year as Sam, yeah I don’t think I’m the one who is gonna try and rip you off. Got told “yeah come in we can take care of you cause your local.” So wasting my gas by coming down there and time to get a rant about how people have bank accounts they can get checks deposited into, I don’t have a bank account why do you think I called you? If your going to assume I’m a criminal why didn’t you just tell me no on the phone, local or not you ignorant clown.

Brought some gold to this pawn shop. The guy working there told me he’s never seen 5 grams plates like that and it might be a fake gold. He also said it might not even weight as stated on the original package (5 grams). It was original package, never been opened. Anyways I got offer 500$. Day later I took it down to Carson City pawn shop and got 800$ for it. Make a little research on how much is your stuff worth before you walk in there.

Went to sell silver that I had. The guy offer me way less than melt value and then told me it was fake. Took it to another shop, it was tested real and they gave me a much better price. Stay clear of this shop.

I love this place and these nice people. This is the kind of local business people nostalgically pine for in modern cities. No glitz, no tinsel, I've been treated so fairly and cordially I can only imagine that if anyone were to be dissatisfied with Tahoe Coin, it would have to be because of being unrealistic about the value of the goods they brought in. Most people think their stuff is worth more than it is. Nice folks here, fair values. Good selection of name guitars at good prices too. Pays to check in now and then.

I like to say. I been going there for 20 years now and you couldn't find better guys to help you with all your needs . Matter of fact thru the 20 years i been going there not only did i get what i needet but i made a few good friends . Not just friends but good friends the kind you can call day or night and they would be there . Thanks guys for all you done for me .
