I purchased an Axis boat from Palmer at this location after much research on many boats. I also visited multiple boat sales locations. Palmer was phenomenal and an amazing person to work with. The entire team is great. They set up an orientation and everything to make you feel comfortable. Palmer went above and beyond for my wife and I and I am grateful for that. I purchased an Axis boat from Peter at this location after research on surf boats. I visited almost every boat dealer in lake norman area before making a decision. Peter done a great job and was easy to work with. Jason also made the financing a breeze. The entire team is great. We have our boat in dry storage here and Peter got us a great spot and I have been very happy with the dry storage team they area very helpful and professional. From the beginning ,the staff was phenomenal. Peter Ehart was my representative. We built the boat together with his expertise , was given a time frame for delivery and was able to modify prior to actual build without issue. The boat came in , the financing was seamless and the boat is perfect. Could not be happier. I can call and someone always answers my questions. The whole staff from reception to anyone in the shop is top notch. Extremely friendly and you do not get the feeling that you are ever bothering them. My family and I had a great experience buying our Cobalt from Lake Norman Marina. Chris Tyrolt is super knowledgeable about their products. We live about 2 hours away and Chris stayed in touch with us throughout the entire process. If you are looking a beautiful boat and a great group of guys to deal with, Lake Norman Marina is the place.

We had visited a number of boat dealers in the Lake Norman area but Peter and team helped us the most with choosing the boat that met our needs. We had to leave NC the next day and they offered to store it for us until we returned. When we returned the following month they had it ready for us to take home and even did a second review and test ride to insure we still felt comfortable operating it. We would highly recommend them.

We used a Groupon to rent a Tritoon and I am so impressed! The employees were helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with us. They took their time explaining everything to us and making sure we had everything that we needed. The boat was amazing and had so many cool features that we definitely didn’t expect for the price. Finally a true luxury dealership experience you deserve. I cannot say enough about LKN Marina. This is my 5th boat and by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Our salesman Palmer was a true gentleman and very patient with me. He was able to answer all my questions and if he didn’t know something he found out. Palmer also did a great job during our negotiating process by under standing where I was coming from and expressing my thoughts to sales manager. Jason in finance is a great guy. He worked very hard to get me a rate that went beyond my wildest expectations. I’m still shocked how low of a rate he was able to secure. I researched several banks on my own and couldn’t come close to the rate he was able to secure. Amazing job. I’d also like to point out how friendly and helpful the marina staff were when I dropped off the boat we traded. Super nice guys and made the process easy. It's a very nice and clean marina. I was very impressed at the way the marina is maintained. Several nice bench seats near the boat docks, and visably noticeable that the premisis is well maintained. Even the gasoline was priced 7 cents lower than the marina just a mile away. Clearly the owner is aware of what it takes to run a business properly.

Let me tell you about Palmer Furr and Ryan, his trusted sea trial mate. Both Palmer and Ryan made our experience the best it could be. I am from Michigan and I have owned many vessels from 36" to a small ski boat. Palmer met us when we moved to North Carolina from San Antonio. Both my husband and I have been on water most of our life so coming back to water was our #1 priority. I am a high end water skier so we first talked about ski boats and then I found a used one that satisfied our needs. We stressed to Palmer that we needed a perfect Bennington and one that had a specific layout. He listened well and was very responsive, so much so that we bought a pre-owned Bennington from him a couple weeks ago. Ryan was a trooper, he did a first set trial that we needed to reschedule and he ended up taking us out on one of the coldest spring days in Charlotte, NC history. :) It did not matter that he was freezing, he stayed with us in the open water until we were satisfied. Hats off to Ryan! Our experience at Lake Norman Marina has been exceptional from Palmer to Ryan to Jason; the entire team was spectacular and extremely customer focused. My husband Tim and I would highly recommend visiting Lake Norman Marina and please ask for Palmer when you arrive. From start to finish LKN Marina didn’t disappoint! We were shopping for our first pontoon boat and this team went above and beyond our expectations! I highly recommend this family owned business!

They provide new boats every year and a first class rental experience.

I have been on more than a six-month journey trying to receive service for a boat I purchased at Lake Norman Marina in May 2020. Shortly after purchasing a 2019 boat, it demonstrated some minor issues (fabric tears near cup holders not affected by seating area and ladder welding not holding). I contacted Lake Norman Marina requesting that these items be repaired and that they should fall under warranty. I was told there was no warranty ($50,000 2019 boat purchase) that was supposed to be the top of the line tri-toon on the market. Eventually, after writing an initial negative review, Lake Norman Marina agreed to repair the boat if I removed the initial review. I did and only regret relying on Lake Norman Marina to stand behind its words, its products, and its promises, because it has failed at every turn. Because this has been six months in the making, I will only share highlights of the problems here. 1. The fabric tears have still not been repaired although the Marina had my boat for three months. 2. The boat was not returned to me but to another dock. That’s right - for any of you reading in disbelief, the marina returned my yet-to-be fully repaired boat, which it had in its possession for nearly three months, to the correct location. Instead, they dropped it off, left the keys in it, and tied it to another person’s dock. Lake Norman Marina did not call to tell me it had been delivered, did not leave a note on a door, did not send an email or text. That’s it - dropped at someone else’s private residence because apparently we have similar docks (and Lake Norman is a large lake). The marina failed to contact me and acted surprised when I called to ask where the boat was initially on the evening of scheduled delivery (no response) and then in follow up the next morning (they responded by noon with surprise). . 3. When the boat was returned, it was clear it had not been taken care of over the three months it was in Lake Norman Marina’s possession. Its interior was completely clean (I am meticulous) when dropped off, but it was returned dirty and covered with leaves. The exterior looked like it was in a mud bath. The interior had clay foot prints on it. 4. And that was not the worst part. The cover for the boat had been ruined by Lake Norman Marina, stretched so tight that portions were threadbare and so the seams had pulled apart with dangling threads throughout the interior. In fact, as you will see in the video, the cover no longer keeps light or WATER out of the boat. This is literally the worst care and customer service I could even imagine. The boat return happened in February. Today, at the end of March 2021, there is no update on a new or replacement cover and no fabric tro replace the tears, of which I first inquired now more than six months ago. My only advice - stay away. You are gaining a disaster to do business with this company. I have tried to be understanding, to request and allow Lake Norman Marina to make this right, and they have failed at every step and in every way. I would give fewer stars if possible. I have included some videos below so you can see the condition of the cover.

Due to repair part supply chain issues, we learned that with the beginning of "grandkid water sports" season just a couple of months away, our 14 year old boat was likely not going to be ready for use. We visited three other dealers, before Lake Norman Marina, where we saw very limited new boat inventory and were told about 5-7 month wait times on orders. Within 72 hours of walking into LNM and meeting Chris Tyrolt, he had shown us multiple options, helped us make the perfect choice, had our old boat picked up and appraised, and was done with both the trade-in title and new title paperwork. As soon as we know warm weather is here to stay, Chris will meet our family on the lake and show us the operating details of our new Bennington. Chris was prompt with all communication, listened and understood our needs, and helped save our summer!

We recently purchased a Cobalt R6 from Lake Norman Marina. Palmer Furr was very knowledgeable about Cobalt boats and extremely helpful throughout the entire process.

Purchased my new 2005 Four Winns at the Charlotte Boat Show from Lake Norman Marina. We still have that boat and the fantastic people there have helped us to keep it in perfect shape all these years. Not only do they stand behind their sales, they have kept an expert service staff who have supported us through the years. They have treated us like family! When I call, they remember who we are. The amazing thing is that we live almost an hour away! They have treated us as if we lived next door to them!

Lake Norman Marina made buying a boat a positive experience! Peter was very attentive and quick to answer all our questions and make sure we were buying the right size boat for our lift along with our boating pleasure. For the past several Summers we have rented a boat from Lake Norman Marina and had a great experience so when we wanted to purchase a boat they were one of our first choices, It was a great decision!! We recently took delivery of a new Malibu and the total experience was fantastic!! If you are looking to rent for Summer vacation or purchase for your own use don’t go anywhere else. They are the best on the lake!

Upon looking at other marinas, we decided to start our search at Lake Norman Marina. We are moving to the Lake Norman area and are interested in having a family boat. We had a wonderful experience. Palmer Furr was the rep that met us at the door. He was extremely polite and was helpful in showing us what would be right for us. We did speak to a finance manager, Jason to see what our options were on financing and he was also super helpful and walked us through the purchasing process very clearly. Unfortunately, we did not purchase a boat but when the time is right we will definitely be back to purchase here considering this experience.

I bought a boat from Lake Norman Marina. The salesman, Chris, was professional knowledgeable and responsive. The most notable aspect of the sale is that we had an issue that threatened completing the transaction. What the issue was isn’t important. What is important is that Chris and his management did what was necessary to rectify the problem and make me a satisfied customer. We've rented from several marinas at Lake Norman, and this one is by far our favorite. The boats are always new and in excellent condition, the crew is incredibly helpful and kind, and they make everything a breeze. Definitely going to be the only marina we rent from at Lake Norman going forward.

We purchased a boat from Lake Norman Marina in May. Their service is exceptional from Sales to finance to delivery. Chris and Logan were helpful and informative on boat selection, and associated items (i.e. wakeboards, surf equipment, etc). Jason was easy to work with, responsive, and offered some of the most competitive financing available. Derek was knowledgeable during the test drive, and thorough during the delivery orientation. Overall the group worked as a team, and provided an quality buying experience. I highly recommend LKN Marina when considering purchasing a boat.

2nd Malibu I’ve purchased but the first one from these guys. This experience was white glove customer service from A-Z. Ask for Palmer, that was my sales guy. Made it easy to buy with competitive pricing for a fully loaded down 23LSV. Most important part that differentiated from my first experience buying somewhere else than here was here at Lake Norman Marina they took over an hour with me just going through and educating me on the various features of the boat. They even preset some surf and wake settings for me. Palmer went as far as to make sure my trailer hitch on my truck got flipped over bc he noticed I had it in the 2 inch drop and was wanting me to be safe than sorry. I won’t buy a boat from anyone else but these guys.

We recently purchased a custom Bennington from LKN Marina. Palmer Furr was our salesperson and beyond patient with these very new boat owners. The young man who took us out on our maiden voyage was very knowledgeable and gave some great tips. He was extremely patient as well! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of LKN Marina somewhere in the middle of this whole process and he might have been the one who sealed the deal for us. It was obvious what a kind down to earth family man he was. We were always greeted with a kind word and a smile from the receptionist as well. We recently rented one of the 24' Bennington pontoon boats for our family vacation at Lake Norman. Our experience with Lake Norman Marina was fantastic, from booking the reservation to picking up the boat and returning 2 days later. The boat was virtually new and in perfect condition. It was amazingly smooth and quiet when underway plus it had very comfortable seats and tons of storage. It had everything we needed to secure the boat to our dock during the night. Most importantly, all of the people that helped us through the process were friendly, helpful and patient with all my questions. It just couldn't have been a better experience. Scott responded by text and with photos to answer all of our questions. Our test ride was longer than ordinary but nothing was a problem to help us make our decision. This is our third summer in a row renting a pontoon boat from Lake Norman Marina and we couldn't be happier with the staff or boats. As a novice "captain" I appreciate the detailed instructions (range finder, canopy, anchor, etc.) and ease of use . The boats are BRAND NEW and well taken care of. It's simply as easy as showing up, getting a brief overview of the boat and policies, and then enjoying your family/friends on the water...minus the hassle of storing, insuring, gassing up, etc. We will definitely be back again next year!

We joined the LNM boat club three years ago and have had such a good experience that when we were ready to buy a boat we didn't even bother going anywhere else. They handle the best brands and we knew we would be in good hands for sales and service. If you can't possibly do any better why bother? :) Everyone at LKM has always been very helpful. Not a bad attitude in the place! You can always tell about an organization from calling them and having a live person answer and how friendly the receptionist is. Peter was great guiding us through the buying experience. I am still calling him with questions and he always answers the phone or calls me back quickly. He has even done so on his day off! Great organization and great customer service!

I don’t normally offer reviews, but felt compelled to laud the outstanding service I received renting a pontoon boat from LNM. Reserved a boat easily via phone & called the day before to confirm. Burton has forgotten more about Lake Norman & safe boating than most people ever know. Thanks for making our family vacation to NC so special and easy. As an aside, their public bathrooms are much cleaner than anything we have in Florida.
