I decided to begin transitioning from my employer’s credit union, whom I liked, to LMCU. I did not make a mistake: LMCU has treated my partner and I like family. A bank visit sometimes feels like a cumbersome errand, but I’ve found the staff at this branch to be more than helpful.

I was assisted quickly and efficiently. I had just gone through the process online of creating accounts as I just switched from a bank back from my hometown to here. Everyone was very friendly and I will gladly come back to this location whenever the need arises. Thanks for making my transition from my old bank so easy!

Sonya was “helping” me to open a new account due to fraud on my old account and get things transferred. A week later, nothing was done so stopped back in. Finally got the account opened and was told that I should see stuff transferred in a few days. Left a voicemail for her a few days later because nothing was done, no call back. Another week goes by and it still isn’t done. Don’t worry, Sonya, I had someone else take care of it. Less than impressed.

Worst bank in the world always taking forever never polite puts in hold tells you to wait does not ask you to wait. Terrible service

Angela was so rude to me while making a cash withdrawel. I needed big bills and she was not happy with my request.....

A five business day hold on a slightly larger check I wrote to myself from my other account, when I’ve been banking with them for years, personally and with two businesses. This is why I will stick with Mercantile Bank for my main business. EDIT: The bank's response is not helpful. This WAS in an person visit, with a request for waive on hold verification, which was denied.

Rotten attitudes here and tight parking. Consistently bad since they opened in spring 2016. I'm willing to give a place a second, third, fourth chance to clean up their act but this branch is so rude that I am never coming back. That seems to be what the tellers want anyway... to not have to assist anybody.

Daughter got a check from babysitting which was written from Lake Michigan Credit Union, and they are across street from house. They would not cash as she a minor has no account with them. I asked why and Mangager said they will cash but for a $5 fee!! A twenty dollar check for a kid who babysit and they want 20% Never will I open or do a loan with such a terrible buisness!! Drove to family bank and they cashed without question, and offered to help her open and start account!! Guess where we will go! So good luck and be ready to be treated poorly and pay for bad service!!

I have banked with LMCU for many years and love it! This location is really convenient too.
