When they send out a statement, they don't include an envelope or return address. I sent out a payment and it was returned saying not deliverable address. If you want your money send your members a envelope with return address. It's the least you could do. Time to step up and take care of your members. Why do we live in Traverse City and have to send things to Grand Rapids. So much for keeping it local. Very disspointed.

LMCU has been horrible to deal with for our construction loan. Our loan took 4 months to close due to the lack of knowledge of our loan officer. Once our project is complete we will be refinancing with another financial institution.

Tried to use them as a local lender on our new construction. Corbin Buttleman was terrible to deal with. Our builder was not able to take draws even though we were approving them, unbeknownst to us, because he just did not communicate with us. He claimed the issue was our subdivision designation, but when we were forced to go with another lender, this was not an issue at all. The final straw was when we received a rejection letter in the mail because our loan had sat stagnate for so long. When confronted, he gives a smarmy used car salesman spiel, but is absolutely ineffective. We took our business elsewhere and had no other issues. I will say the rest of his team were great. Overall, this experience was a big waste of our time and an application fee.

I am working on behalf of a customer of mine who has a loan through LMCU, I spoke to a gentleman early in the morning who was pleasant and said he would get me the requested form. I called back a couple hours later to get an update and a Lady Chasity or Charity or something like that answered and was rude and argumentative,

I completed my mortgage through Corbin Buttleman, he was great to work with. I am surprised at the reviews saying he was hard to get ahold of. His cell phone number is listed on the credit unions website... He always returned phone calls and explained the process well. The paperwork process seemed lengthy because I had changed banks, and made large withdrawals and deposits, but I would imagine most banks would need to verify those transactions as well. the Max checking is great, we have received WAY more interest on our account than we ever did with other banks or credit unions in the area

I called in to get an auto loan because they were the cheapest in town at the time. When I was able to speak to a person she had no clue how to help. Needless to say I went elsewhere.

Personal service! We started with LMCU a little over five years ago in GR. Due to the intimate service provided by Erin (previous TC employee), Nick (previous TC employee), Charity and Spencer, we use LMCU for almost ALL our financial needs. I do wish their construction loan process was easier to obtain. Unfortunately it is the one service of theirs we don't use, but Corbin in mortgages is great too! We even closed accounts with two other financial institutions located closer to our home in Elk Rapids because service doesn't compare. In addition, LMCU's technology is superior to other institutions. Features that are standard with LMCU are not even known about by the other institutions. This surprised me considering one of the institutions I speak about is a well known conglomerate. LMCU's check deposit is a time saver. I use their app multiple times a day. And aside from having a rapore with the TC teller line employees, every time I've needed help with an issue (sometimes big), the customer service center reps in GR have always made our load lighter by helping. Thank you Spencer, Charity and the rest of the LMCU team for actually putting the customer/member FIRST. Thank you for personalized service.

We recently purchased a house using a physician home loan. Corbin Buttleman was the team leader that provided us with assistance. Him and his team were wonderful to work with. They were available many hours of the day and responded promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries. They were also really good at keeping us informed of what was happening during our loan process. Corbin and many of the other team members were down to earth however also very knowledgable when it came to our many questions. Would not recommend! Had my car loan through here and was always on time with my payments and then when we had our baby we fell behind because myself not being able to work for two months after having the baby and there being complications with myself and the baby also my husband starting a new job and this lady named Erin constantly hounded me for a payment knowing the situation she absolutely did not care and then they have this “act of kindness” bill pay they can do that they give to people that don’t even need it..we were still making payments throughout the month and then without contacting me for a whole 2 weeks about anything or sending me something in the mail the same b**** got my car repoed on a Sunday night late at night so I couldn’t do anything about it has the nerve to call me the next day and say I have to pay over 3000 to get the car back and expects me to get to work without a car to pay her this amount and we aren’t even that far behind this is the worst institution ever they do not care about you. Do not do business with them
