This is my first year with Keystone Tax and I felt at ease and comfortable with this company. Customer service is excellent and always responsive to my needs. Polite and informative. The software is easy to use and functions well. Thank you and I will definitely be using you for the upcoming year.

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER SOFTWARE!!! I completely understand that they want us to mainly process bank products; it's clearly stated all over their website, contracts, ect. and I get that. I agreed to this initially UNTIL they messed up the first two bank product applications that resulted in one of these clients STILL not having his tax refund to this date, DECEMBER 18, 2021! I tried calling them, finding out statuses, emailing, everything - with no success! They were quick to blame it on the IRS having multiple issues this year, which we all agree it was a hectic year for everyone in the tax industry, but NOT when a refund has already been issued and being sent back and forth multiple times. When speaking to the IRS, they cleared up the fact that errors were made with the bank applications. Never did Keystone apologize for this, nor did they acknowledge their mistake till this day; instead, they blamed it on the bank when it was brought up again. To avoid these continuous bank app issues, I opted to process only non bank products for my clients. On top of being charged non bp fees per client (which again, they do state), they upped the price to renew software at $1,000 for 40 returns and 25$ for each return after that. There are other reputable software companies out there for that price that will not only give you continuous software access, but also the ability to file business returns and not just personal. Lastly, be warned: YOU WILL LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR CLIENTS' RETURNS AFTER OCTOBER. I have never heard of any tax software company do this. If you have already purchased the software for the year, you are allowed to have access for that year only, regardless if you renew or not. One thing is having a contractual ending date to e-file, but to restrict complete access to already filed returns? I find that unfair and unreasonable. I was told that since I didn't renew with them, I lost access to view/print my client's returns and that they could email me only 2 or 3 returns if I needed a copy. Again, WHO DOES THIS? They love stating "per the contract", yet no where in the contract does it state we lose access to view/print returns for OUR clients. I tried working with this company and even allowed them to amend these mistakes by expressing my concerns. Needless to say, my experience was terrible. If you are looking for a reliable tax software with awesome customer support that truly cares, do your due diligence and look elsewhere.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you have been caused. We do our best to service all of our partners the best way we can. We have tried to reach out to you via phone and email on a few occasions in an effort to resolve any issues you may have. Below, we have addressed every concern you mentioned. In regards to the bank applications, the IRS did in fact process many returns that were intended to be bank products as Non bank products and many taxpayers received their full refund without any tax preparation fees being taken out. When this happened, no one collect fees, the bank, software, or tax preparer. This error was admitted by IRS, was nation wide, and had absolutely nothing to do with us. We understand your frustration, but this was in fact an IRS error. Upon research, we do see where you inquired via email about two of your bank applications being rejected in March. Bank rejections come from the bank. We have no control over any decision or rejections the bank makes. We are simply the software provider. After our engineers reviewed we responded back to your email to inform you that the applications were resubmitted after rejections. Our partners (non Efin holders) and EROs (Efin holders) are different. Our Partnership program is designed for those who primarily use bank products and non EFIN holders. That is discussed before joining us, after joining us, and in your partnership agreement you agree to prior to joining us. All the details of partnership program is extremely clear in that agreement. The contract expires on October 15 which is also stated in the agreement you agree to. We inform everyone when this contract ends a month in advanced as well in case they may have forgotten so no one is blind sided and to give our partners time to make a prudent decision. We will even extend for clients here and there as well. Unfortunately, you did not want to go by the the bank product requirements for those under the partnership agreement. You also did not want to take the alternative we offered. We gave you an option to be a non bank product partner and you felt it was too expensive and we completely understand as that is your choice to make. ERO(Efin holders) have the option to do bank products or not. Our partnership program however is for those who do bank products mostly , but you did not do many bank products which was in violation of the agreement you signed. We informed all our partners that if they would like to keep access to our software after October 15th, they would have the option to renew their contract or gather all the information they needed from the software prior to their contract ending. This is simply for our partners. ERO (Efin holders) have continued access to the software whether they renew with us or not because they work under their own Efin. So it is false that all clients lose access to their software if they do not renew with us, only non Efin holders. Again, we allow everyone time to gather whatever information they would like to take if they choose not to renew. We have you time and alternative option. Ultimately, our partnership program wasn’t a good fit for you and we completely understand. Everything will not work for everyone and that’s fine. The issue is you wanted us to bend and or create rules on your behalf and as much as we love our partners, we weren’t willing to do that. We did however offer you another option that you deemed too expensive. Our All In One non bank product software program would be a better fit for you. This program is for EFIN holders and it would work perfectly for what you wanted. Thank you for joining us and we would love to have you back as an ERO if you ever chose to circle back around.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to partner with such a dynamic company. I believe that success is what you make it and it can be accomplished sooner by joining forces with a winning team. Keystone Tax Solution was a blessing in disguise. My first year in tax business and yes.... I was nervous! I was forced into making a quick decision on selecting a tax software and wasn’t sure as to which route to take. After doing my due diligence, I made one of the best choices! Very user- friendly software and training. Customer Service is the best! Open lines of communication is a plus and they have that! Hats off Keystone! Looking forward to next year!

The software is super easy. Funding is another issue. Slow to no returns is unacceptable. I have received payment for one client every other week, despite the fact most were funded the same week. They are responsive although they have no resolution. I have taxpayers that filed in early February and still have not received their funds. At this rate small companies will be barely treading water. I fear accepting more clients because I like to stand behind the work I do and honestly s I do not feel confident doing so due to my experience with this company this tax season. I am a customer of yours before it is said I am not and I have voiced my concerns several times this season.
We are sorry that you are dealing with this but unfortunately everyone in the tax industry is dealing with extremely slow funding this year. Funding has absolutely nothing to do with software and completely up to the IRS. Keystone is simply tax software company. We do not in anyway control how your clients get funded. The IRS controls this and always has. Funding seems to be slow this year across the industry due to all of the last minute laws, credits, and regulations that were added due to the pandemic. Again we have no control over if a tax payers gets a refund. Our software simply processes tax returns. We are hoping that funding speeds up soon but everyone in the tax industry is at the mercy of the IRS. You can however call or have your clients call the IRS to get a better gauge at when your clients returns will be processed. Thank you

Keystone was such a pleasure to work with and a very honest company to work with. Customer service was always available and very pro active with anything i needed and it was such a pleasure to work with such a fair and honest company. Keystone Tax Solutions has really changed my life. Never did I imagine that I could start my tax company soo easily, and offer the same products as some of the top major tax offices. Working with Keystone as a partner was successful this season. Prices are reasonable, customer service is accessible. Being used to having direct contact with the bank this setup was a bit frustrating and the Keystone CS didn’t always have the answers or quick answers with regard to bank product issues. Software is great! Very easy to use, reliable and the app made working with out of state customers a breeze!

Been working with Keystone since 2015 . I love the customer support and how great they communicate with me. My husband and I was with another company before we joined Keystone and we hated their customer service. It was hard to ever reach anyone. Good option for experienced individuals without an EFIN. I'm sure others who are new or novices to the tax business have commented on their encounter. I'm unable. The software is user friendly and the tutorials are very detailed. No issues with receiving your share of tax prep fees (my #1 initial concern). Overall pleasant experience. I would recommend and partner with Keystone again. This is my second year working with Keystone. Any questions I had were answered, and any issues (typical tax stuff) were addressed promptly. I actually privy the new software, as its more user friendly and faster to complete returns. Overall, I'm satisfied with the company, the staff and the software. The only thing I would changed is bringing back the 100% partner option. Maybe this plan can be reintroduced next season.

It was a software change I did not look forward to, but the terrible service/product from the prior company became so great it was necessary. After much searching I liked what Keystone have. It was very helpful with their Demo's to research, that was very helpful in making the change. I look forward to next year with them, and I tell my clients about their product. Especially the staff who were ALWAYS there to answer a question, and were very courteous also. I am a very satisfied customer of Keystone, and I can't wait to start next years season.
