I have worked with Kennedy & Associates on multiple occasions over the years. In fact I have bought a property through them that was also being sold by a broker in the firm, and years later, I sold a property through them which was actually purchased through another broker at Kennedy. All of the brokers I have met from there are great. They are good, honest people and business-like / professional, yet relaxed in a calming way. It is really the place to go for your real estate needs - they own the market up the coast! In particular, I would like to call out the amazing Kristine Thomure who is a spectacular real estate broker on both the buy and sell side. She is smart, kind, thorough and she gives excellent and complete advice. Kristine is always able to remain objective and realistic in a sale and a buying process. I worked with Kathleen Huse at Kennedy and Associates. She was patient and informative throughout the many months that I searched up and down the coast to find just the right place for my family. She was educated about the amenities in the multiple towns we looked in and listened to my feedback, my likes, and my concerns. Ultimately, her knowledge of the local market enabled her to find the perfect home for us- we were able to buy it before it hit the market.

I was selling my house through a different agency and Kennedy represented the buyers on my home. Kennedy never required the buyers to put any of the required money into escrow. The buyers then backed out the day before closing and I was left with nothing and my house was off the market for weeks. Kennedy had chances to make this right, but they just did not care. If you’re looking for a home in the area or are looking to sell, steer clear of Kennedy!

BUYER BEWARE! We tried to buy a house using them as both the selling and listing agent. They were the worst company I have dealt with in dozens of real estate transactions. We were serious, experienced buyers and bought a similar home nearby with a full-price offer 3 days after listing a few months later in an honest, 30-day no-issue escrow, again with the same agent representing both parties. From the beginning of our attempted transaction we were told outright lies: - they said it was fully permitted, but the Planning Department proved otherwise - they said there was no logging nearby, but the adjoining property was MRC with a logging easement 20 feet from the bedroom - they said it had never been surveyed, but we found markers and 2 calls got us to a guy who had recently done a survey - they misrepresented clear conflicts out interest between them and the seller - these are only a few of the examples of deliberate deceit. We really wanted the property but were lied to many times by the agent, the broker and other staff. We backed out of a transaction on a property we really wanted when they wouldn't allow a few days extra for us to pay a surveyor to check the property line with respect to the well. A year later the property sold for less than we had offered, even considering the adjustments we requested for problems found during inspections.
