    I was looking for a 2015 Rx with the saddle interior for a long time. Finally, I came across this vehicle at Johnson Lexus of Durham with sales associate; Mr. Marquise. I traveled 1&1/2 hours via car service just to see this vehicle. Definitely worth it! It was better in person than the pictures on the websites. No disappointments, and I drove away a couple of hours later after getting better interest rates than my current Credit Union as well! I would definitely buy here again in the future! I had a lot of questions and all were answered patiently by the Sales staff and Finance Dept. Thank you!

    The dealership did a great job taking care of everything and having everything ready when I arrived to view and then pick up my vehicle. I love about an hour and a half away but felt very confident in what I was purchasing based n our back and forth communication. My Salesperson Marquise Dalrymple was excellent I couldn’t have asked for anyone better and he’s very professional but up front on all details. He has years of expand it shows. If you want a good experience go to this dealership and ask for Marquise. Fiancé was also easy to work with, fast and explained important details thoroughly. Great experience!

    I visited this location to get my son a vehicle for graduation. I admit the 1st night I was late and wasn't able to test drive the vehicle but the sales preson Ms. Martinez was still pushing me to buy. I wanted to get the car for a pre purchase inspection and they were trying to give me the vehicle to drive home the night before but now that I meant getting it inspected and test driving it properly she seemed to have an issue with it assuming I was gonna buy the vehicle without doing so and kept pressing meon that. Long story short I was able to get the vehicle and take it in to another dealership to get inspected and come to find out that it had transmission issues. She called me 1st thing Monday and I mentioned it to her and she didn't seem surprised at all which was shocking. I will never do business at this location and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. I know sales is a tough job but to push a lemon of a car on someone is beyond bad business especially when you spending 15k In case they try to get you don't get the 2014 Nissan Rogue!!!

Once made, he facilitated every step needed to implement my decision. He introduced me to Steve Weinberg and Devin McCullough who made the transaction seamless and as smooth as possible.     April 2022 update: I bought an extended service package when I purchased my ES350. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It was completely worth it. I know people say don't purchase the warranties from the dealership blah blah blah... However I have no regrets about every warranty or extended package that I have purchased. I haven't had any issues with my car so far, but just with the regular maintenance having the package has saved me so much. I feel very confident knowing my car (Louie) is than hands of knowledgeable and caring Lexus technicians and service advisors who treat my car like their own. Brenda my service advisor is amazing. You're very lucky if you get her as a service advisor She knows her stuff. She knows Lexus. And she is a great representation of what I expect from a luxury dealership. I hope she stays with Johnson Lexus forever! With that being said I have not met a single person at Johnson Lexus and the service department who was not helpful. While in the waiting area I can see they all work together as a team to get stuff done and make sure every customer is happy. Update: I still love my car and the service I am receiving from Johnson Lexus!!! Give Chris and Tommy a call you will not regret it. They are the best salesmen. I should have written this review a a few days ago, but I've been too busy enjoying my new car. Johnson Lexus is not just a great Lexus Dealership, but a great dealership overall. From the first call to the moment I drove off the lot, I experienced nothing but Superior service that I am sure no one can match. Chris, Tommy, and Jason went above and beyond to make sure I purchased a car I would love. I didn not feel pressured, and they made my car buying process hassle free. The level of care, compassion, and thought that went to making sure I felt secure about my purchase was something I have never experienced at a Dealership before. This is my first Lexus, and it will not be my last. No matter where I live I will always travel to Raleigh-Durham to purchase a car from Johnson Lexus.

    This was by far the best car dealership experience I have ever had. I was able to work with Dominick Ross and right from the beginning he was extremely professional and actually showed compassion when dealing with me. I have been trough allot and he understood that but worked with me above and beyond what most would do. Even when it was looking like a sale wouldn’t happen he searched for options and worked it out to make sure that sale not only happened but he made it happen with the numbers I was looking for. This guy is definitely salesman of the year and I am thankful to him and the Johnson Lexus team for doing an awesome job. This dealership is amazing and I truly mean amazing.     Every detail at Johnson Lexus is marked by thoughtfully applied customer service. It’s truly surprising. I’ve put 155,000 miles on my ES 350 bought at Johnson Lexus. Here and there I’ve tried other discount mechanics/ service centers to try and save a little money. After a few years of experiencing the difference in service quality I’ve realized that getting the job done correctly at Jonson Lexus is not only more pleasant, but at the end of the day more cost effective as well. They only need to do the work once after all. Definitely recommend.

    I didn't purchase my car from Johnson, but brought it in for a diagnosis under warranty. Service advisor was Kevin Miles, and he was professional, listened attentively to my questions and concerns, and above all communicated extremely well throughout. He explained everything in detail and never seemed bothered by the extra question/inquiry. I do most of my own routine maintenance, but wouldn't hesitate to bring my vehicle in again if needed due to the exemplary service.

    My wife and I purchased a pre owned Ford C-Max from Brad Rogers. The service we received was exemplary, the price was fair, and the vehicle itself is hard to distinguish from a brand new model in its condition. I would absolutely purchase again here. Whatever Johnson is doing they need to keep it up! One of, if not the, top dealership experience we have ever had.

    I would never recommend anyone using this dealership for a car purchase. If there was less than 1 star, that would be my rating. They are unreliable, disorganized, unprofessional and terrible at communicating. The sales agent, Kristen, talked everything up but did not follow through on anything. On top of that, her and the service department spoke negatively about each other as if they did not work for the same dealership. Very very unprofessional. The manager that I was able to work with was more helpful. Less than 90 days after purchase my vehicle engine died on the side of the road. I guess that should be no shock based on the experience with the service department. They do not take responsibility for anything and look to push responsibility to anyone but themselves. DO NOT trust this dealership, they are very dishonest!!!

    I had the honor of being assisted by Sales Associate, Danny. I can assure you, he certainly does not fit the stereotypical “car salesman” description. As a first time car-buyer, Danny was very intentional about being extremely patient and thorough throughout the entirety of the car-buying process. In fact, my dad (who accompanied me) was so impressed with his attentiveness, that he’s decided that he would be seeking to do business with Danny on his next car-buying venture! I also had the pleasure of working with their Financial Director, Mr. Hines. He, too, was very patient and very informative in response to all questions that were posed. He offered his professional opinion, all while still welcoming our feedback and respecting my ultimate decision. I couldn’t recommend these gentlemen enough.     I cannot say enough good things about my car buying experience with Johnson Lexus of Durham. Travis Riddick was the salesman I worked with and he is THE BEST!!! I was very discouraged after having a bad experience at another dealership. From the beginning to the end I was treated with respect, listened to and also treated fairly. He literally went above and beyond. I received the price I wanted and a few other perks! The Manager, Devin McCullough, was just as great. He also worked hard to make sure I was satisfied. They are committed to making sure you are happy versus just putting you in a car. And their prices are GREAT! Trust me! I am picky and extra and I have never had an experience like this. I love my brand new, fresh from the factory car. ZERO REGRETS!

    I recently purchased a used car from Johnson Lexus of Durham. I found it on the web , they had just what I was looking for. I live out of state however and wasn’t able to to go into the dealership to take it for a test drive or see it in person. My salesperson, Mr. Leo Diaz was so helpful and patient with me. He gave me a visual tour of the car on the video chat and I even got to hear it running. I liked it a lot and he told me that they could ship it to me.     Not really the type to leave reviews but my experience was that bad. I initially came in to trade in a vehicle to purchase another vehicle they had on the lot. They looked at my vehicle for 10 minutes and claimed there was a ticking noise on my 2019 vehicle and that ticking noise would cost 5 grand to fix… no diagnostic no in depth look but they thought it made sense to take 5k off the trade value because of a noise they couldn’t tell what cause it. I asked for them to diagnose it since it was a lexus and whatever the amount was to fix it I’d pay because to me to just go off a extremely minor ticking noise and say it’s gonna cost 5k to fix is extremely unfair. Mind you I AM PRE APPROVED AND READY TO SPEND 55k ON THEIR VEHICLE They refused to diagnose it unless I paid the $160 diagnostic fee out of my pocket even after offering to fix whatever problem if it’s that major… their deal was to me was “if they pay for diagnostic then I have to take whatever they offer after diagnostic” I was not sure if I was at a dealership or a game of the price is right. I later asked to speak to the manager or whoever was behind all of these games and nobody could direct him to me but would rather send messages behind his sales people and I did not mind waiting however long it was going to take. Just my advice to anyone that tries to go in please be aware of this sketchy customer service. I also was already pre approved from my bank to purchase another vehicle and had plenty of cash to add ontop of my down payment for whatever the issue was. I ended up deciding to go elsewhere and buy a different vehicle and my car was bought and deal was done within 20 minutes! Goes to show there difference when you want to make a deal happen versus playing games all day

    I purchased a 2015 LS 460 on December 16, 2020 from Johnson Lexus of Durham. In the new paperless paperwork system, I was told my paperwork would be emailed to me. No problem. In the 9 or more weeks since then I have called and spoken with the sales person, the sales manager and others in an attempt to get my paperwork/contract for the purchase of the vehicle. Always friendly, great talk, yes Mr. Weeks, we'll get it right out, but after more than four attempts by phone to both the sales person and sales manager, I still do not have my paperwork. Totally unacceptable. If my paperwork does not arrive soon, I'll have no option but to file a complaint with the NC Attorney General, something I thought I'd never be saying having purchased three vehicles from Johnson Lexus and being a very satisfied customer up until now. Very displeased.

    I purchased my vehicle from here back in January this year. I love it, I had Thomas Graves as my salesman and he worked with me thru the whole process, he sent me a full walk around of my car, a video of it and showed me the out the door number that I asked for. With the heavy stuff done I was ready to head up there, I’m originally from Florida and I bought a plane ticket up to Durham to purchase it. I really appreciate Thomas with working with me before even actually seeing me, and also they expedited my tag to me. 10/10 review. If I was in the market again for a new vehicle I would call them.

He answered all our questions, treated us with the most respect. We drove a few cars and left. We were not pressured in any way to buy then (we all have experienced that !!!).     I just leased my new GX at Johnson Lexus of Durham and the entire process from start to finish was amazing. I have leased two other cars from other Lexus dealerships out of state and the service that was delivered at Johnson Lexus far exceeded that of the other two dealerships. I especially want to mention two exceptional employees, Jeff L. my sales rep who made the entire process efficient and seamless and Jamie P. who gave me the best tech run down on my new car.     Great Brand but used car mentality is the same. Looked at a 2019 Acura ILX and upon an independent mechanical check before buying I learned that the hood and bumper of this white car had been repainted although the Carfax was clean. No denial when I shared this but no apology either. Tried to take off $300 of the price. Nice knowing you. Emailed GM twice no response. Buy but have it tested. Good luck.

    Amazing experience. Came in to get a 75k tuneup, it was very well priced. They got me a loaner car so that I could get my son to his class, and kept me up to date on what was going on with my car while I wasn't there. If you've never been to the service department, it can be a little confusing, but you literally just drive under the awning and someone will come out to you. Wonderful, attentive customer service, clean service area. Will come here from now on!

    This was an amazing experience. I purchased from out of state. Devin with Internet Sales and the sales person Eddie Ruth were great to work with and made this a great buying process. Eddie even picked my wife and me up from the airport. They had a red bow on the car and my wife was amazed. Dee did an awesome job showing us all of the cool tech packed in to our RX 350L. We purchased a car that was previously used as a loaner and it was in like new condition. All proper social distancing was also followed by staff.

    I drive 30 minutes to Johnson Lexus of Durham for my periodic maintenance for my Lexus and it is well worth the drive. They are courteous, prompt and do an excellent job with whatever maintenance is performed. I also made an appointment to meet with Jamie Perry (Lexus Delivery Specialist) and she did an excellent job explaining every aspect of my car inside and out. I would definitely recommend meeting with her. She has a lot of knowledge about the GS350 and has a great personality. Thank you Durham Lexus Staff

    I normally pick my vehicle off the internet and have it via auto transported to me because I really hate the feel of dealerships.....I am very happy report I am so happy I went into Johnson Lexus of Durham because Brandon and the manager Ron made my transaction so smooth.... I would not have traded the experience for anything...I will be the first to admit I'm not the easiest customer to deal with...but by far they are the greatest dealership I have dealt with....Even the finance department was low pressure for additional add options. They beat every dealership between NC and New Jersey on pricing...if you aren't sure just give Brandon a call and he will be happy to take care of you..Thanks again.....I am so in love with my new 2020 GX460.

    Everyone was extremely helpful. I was purchasing a new car because of a total loss and as a result was driving a rental car. I had no way to get to the dealership after dropping off the rental at a nearby Enterprise, who was less than helpful with my dilemma. I was also waiting on payment from the insurance company to finalize before I could complete the sale. Mani, the sales agent I was working with, came and picked me up in his own car, on his day off to complete the sale on the time-line that worked for me. The "big reveal" with the big red bow and a personalized card on the dash is corny and a bit embarrassing, but a nice touch. I bought 3 other new cars in my life and no other dealership has ever done that for me.

    I just purchased my third Lexus through this dealership. The first time I worked with Patrick Kelly and had a stellar experience. The second time he wasn't available and I worked with another salesperson, not so great. This time I made sure to work with Patrick again and everything went smoothly. Patrick is a real human being and not at all sales-y. He made sure I got the car I wanted, and then Ryan Meagher, general sales manager, made the price negotiation easy and sweet. They have serviced all of my cars too - I have always found the service technicians to be top notch, and my service adviser is always helpful.

    This is my second Lexus and as usual I had the best experience. My sales person this time was Carl Marshall.. He was very patient with me and took time to explain all my concerns. Eric Hagen also made my transition very simple.     I have been a long-time customer of Johnson Lexus, but I’m afraid my time with them is over. They are misogynistic and use predatory tactics to try and fleece the customer out of money, For example, they gave me a price for tires on my car, which seemed very high. I asked the sales person to print me out a sheet with the tire information on it because I was going to shop around. He proceeded to tell me that the tires I buy elsewhere won’t be the same and my car won’t drive correctly. He said other customers who don’t buy tires through the dealership will come back begging for new tires! Now I’m no car expert, but this is ludicrous! I took the sheet to Costco and ordered the EXACT same tires for $400 less, plus a free warranty and maintenance plan. Guess what, my car drives just fine! My other issue is with salespeople being disrespectful and pushy. Johnson Lexus is using the car shortage to prey on people who have limited options for a new vehicle. I am in the process of purchasing my leased vehicle and have had nothing but problems in trying to get this accomplished. They are tacking on outrageous fees and trying to sell me an extended warranty on my vehicle that costs thousands. I specifically requested that Eryk please stop trying to rip me off by offering me these warranties over and over - they clearly do not stand behind their vehicles after 50K miles (but realize they want to line their pockets with extra money). Johnson Lexus clearly hates women and will prey on people in this time of national car shortages. I will never buy a Lexus again after this experience and do not appreciate being taken as a fool!

    Corey Martin found the perfect ES-350, exactly what I was looking for. He assisted me in a warm and professional manner, and within less than a day everything was arranged. The car pictures wasn’t posted online as yet, but Corey took the initiative and sent me pictures inside the car interior as I am picky with the interior color. The paperwork went smoothly and fast, and Corey went the extra mile and placed a big red bow on top of the car in order for me to take pictures. Corey’s professionalism, friendliness and expert customer service is top notch! Great buying experience from the test drive to out of the door in a couple hours. Finally, Steve Parson, Delivery Specialist took the time to explain the entire Car from top to bottom on how to operate all of the features before I drove off the lot. I highly recommend Corey to the management of Lexus as an example of what I expect from an employee at Johnson Lexus Dealership. Corey Martin is a fantastic Sales and Leasing Consultant!     I have to give a huge shout out to this, Mr Arthur Wright and the rest of the staff we dealt with at Johnson Lexus of Durham. Arthur was the absolute best car salesman I have ever dealt with and has set an impossibly high bar for any future salesman. I always dread car shopping because I have experienced so much blood-boiling misogynistic behavior from former salesman. First and foremost, I hate when we are shopping for a car for me and the salesman only ask my husband questions and treat me like a second-class citizen while we shop for what will be my car. Arthur was completely different. When we got to the Lexus dealership we told him we were there looking for my next car and Arthur directed all of his questions to me for the entire process. Additionally, he never once talked down to me and applied zero pressure after I test drove four different cars from the lot. I ended up with an IS 350 F-Sport and I could not be happier. He just called me to check and see if everything was going well with the car and was just as nice to talk to as he was through the negotiation process. I would easily give him a 15 out of 10 and hope to work with him for years to come.

When I tell you this man was the most incredible, compassionate, funniest, all around great guy PLEASE believe me!     Unbelievable service!!! My plan was to simply drive to the dealership and just LOOK at a Lexus for my teenage daughter. But, because of the AMAZING service, we left with a Lexus. This dealership believes in no pressure selling. They practice no pressure selling. Our young salesman was named Brandon. He was so patient with me and so polite. I understand that this is a part of their job. But, it's easy to tell when it's only about selling and less about the customer. Then came Devin, the finance manager. Devine talked to me about the financing and explained everything in elementary terms, so that I had no questions. It was the way that he did it. Devin wanted talked to me like I was family. That made a huge difference. Again, no pressure to purchase a vehicle. Then came Mostafa, the general sales manager. He asked me what they had to do to put my teenager into that Lexus. I listed my requests, and they made it happen. This is a buyer's market. People are buying cars left & right. So, the dealership did not have to do anything to cater to my requests. They could have said sorry and offered no perks to win my business. But, they did. And, they went further than what I had expected. When it was time to sign the paperwork and work with the finance department, they advised me that Devin was working on an important project. I thought we ran him away with my list of requests. Ha! But, that wasn't the case. So, a young man named Jerome was assigned to us. This young man did not skip a beat. He was professional, kind, and eager to make sure that we had what we needed for daughter to be safe with the extended warranty. Again, no pressure selling from this dealership, not even when selling the warranty. I was so impressed by their entire staff's friendliness! Even the associates who were not involved in selling me the Lexis greeted me & smiled. Thank you so much for your kindness and for attempting to cater to my list of requests!     Working with the professionals at Johnson Lexus has been HANDS DOWN the best car buying experience we have EVER had. They made the process absolutely seamless. We were able to arrange the whole deal online and over the phone, and our new vehicle was delivered with a big red bow! Mike was the gentleman who delivered the car, and he was friendly, professional, and explained how to work all of the different features on the car. And the sales manager Richard Amadin was just amazing to work with. I don’t think I will ever buy a car from anywhere else....and I live in Greensboro, but it’s definitely worth the drive!

    I purchased a great car from Johnson Lexus of Durham ,,,,,,,so this is a real person. Brandon was my salesman and he was professional, intelligent, honest, eager to help, and extremely polite. He went out of his way to get the price in my range. I highly recommend him. Mostafa not only saved me time and money with financing AS well as saved me from getting a serious traffic ticket by recognizing a flaw in my former title on the car. He explained to me how to fix it and was very patient with my questions. Ben the inventory manager was very kind and worked with me about a question I had. He addressed my concern immediately and was more than fair IMO. Finally Alex the financial manager was super prompt, clear in the finalization and paperwork.     I have been a customer dating back over 10 years. I continue to come back because the quality of the cars and workmanship is beyond compare. The most important reason however, is the quality of the people who work for Johnson Lexus. I have never felt pressured. The physical plant is clean and well kept. The personnel are all wonderful and treat you like you’re their friends. I would not hesitate in recommending them and I will continue to buy from them in the future.     Corey Martin found the perfect ES-350, exactly what I was looking for. He assisted me in a warm and professional manner, and within less than a day everything was arranged. The car pictures wasn’t posted online as yet, but Corey took the initiative and sent me pictures inside the car interior as I am picky with the interior color. The paperwork went smoothly and fast, and Corey went the extra mile and placed a big red bow on top of the car in order for me to take pictures. Corey’s professionalism, friendliness and expert customer service is top notch! Great buying experience from the test drive to out of the door in a couple hours. Finally, Steve Parson, Delivery Specialist, took the time to explain the entire Car from top to bottom on how to operate all of the features before I drove off the lot. I highly recommend Corey to the management of Lexus as an example of what I expect from an employee at Johnson Lexus Dealership. Corey Martin is a fantastic Sales and Leasing Consultant!     I cannot recommend this dealership enough! I came in on a weeknight, about an hour before they were to close, expecting to be made to feel like that annoying customer that makes everyone stay late, but that was not the case at all! Everyone there was so kind and attentive. Ian was my sales consultant (I highly recommend him). When I came in I was very anxious; this was only my second car buying experience and my first time going in to it alone. He could tell I was on edge and made me feel at ease by explaining to me what my options were. He was very blunt and honest, which I greatly appreciate. He didn't sugar-coat or exclude any details, for the sake of the sale. I felt so good about the experience that I came in the next day to pick up my NX300 (she's a beauty). When I arrived they had my car waiting for me in their showroom with a big bow and a sign on it, congratulating me. They gave me an opportunity to take pictures and look at the car while they got the paperwork together. Steve gave me an in-depth overview of all the technology that the car is equipped with. Ed, the Finance Director, went over all the financial documents with me and did a great job at explaining everything I was signing off on. Overall, everyone there made me feel so comfortable. Both nights I had to come in at night, after I got off of work, and no one made me feel like a nuisance. I feel really good about my decision to switch over to Lexus and think I will be sticking with them for the foreseeable future.

    This place is a disaster. Not so much the sales team they’re very good at their jobs. The service dept however tries to get out of any and all obligations their general mo is to act like you’re crazy until the warranty runs out and then agree there’s a problem when you have to pay for it yourself!

    Wow!!! Great car buying experience. My husband and I were looking at purchasing a BMW from here even though we lived over an hour away. When calling to ask if the car was still available I was transferred to Chris Brust. He even held the keys for us to ensure the car wasn't sold before we got to look at it. When we arrived he had the car out front waiting on us. Chris was very patient and not once pressured us or hovered while making out decision. Garrett Brewer worked with us in financing and was very straightforward and helped us find the best rate for our vehicle. Both Chris and Garrett stayed well after closing on a Saturday without even a slight complaint to assist us with the purchasing of our new car. We were treated extraordinarily well and I am so pleased with the experience. Furthermore, they made the waiting fun! Couldn't recommend them enough. However, all the dealerships we went and bought cars, Johnson Lexus is the best and the most pleasant place for buying a car. This time, I found the right sales person and an expert for car buying. That's Mr. Bob! Mr. Bob is knowledgeable about the car he sells, and he is outstanding sales person. As I contacted the place via online, he sent me a detailed break down price right away. I was quite impressed with Mr. Bob's willingness for listening from me when I sent a message or called him. Mr. Bob is like a long time friend, and I felt he honestly guided me to buy a new Lexus at Johnson Lexus. You don't see this kind of salesmanship any more!!! I was blessed to meet Mr. Bob!     I have never had an experience like I did with Johnson Lexus. Johnson likes is treated me like family from day one. Brett ( our sales associate) was extremely patient, helpful and really went the extra mile for our car buying experience. I ended up buying a car as much for the dealership as for the brand and car itself. In talking with several other Lexus owners, every single one of them felt as I did about Johnson Lexus.     Disappointed at the Parts department. Needed differential fluids for my 2016 IS350 and they told me it needs 6 quarts. Not sure if they're trying to upsale me or just new to the job. I then ask politely for them to double check the their service manual and they told me "you're doing the service, you should know how much it takes." Glad I didn't buy the 6 quarts from here because I only needed 2 quarts to get the job done. Definitely won't be visiting this place again.

    My experience with the dealership is phenomenal each time I’m there! My consultant, Ms. Lacy is fabulous and the service is superb! I elected to wait during the service vice utilizing a loaner.     I am writing about Mr. Timothy Carnes. I never met him nor did I buy a car from him., But the phone calls to and from him were handled quite professionally while I was looking for a Lexus. I bought a 2017 Lexus 2 days before Timothy called me that he got a 2018 Red Lexus in. Must say I wish it was he that I bought the car from. Timothy made me feel as if I bought it from him.     Everyone was highly professional and no high pressure sales! They respected what I was looking for and did not steer me toward any other vehicle. Finance offered different warrant products but did not use high pressure sales tactics. The technical instructions were impeccable.

    The review: Shopping for a car has a bad reputation because, unfortunately, the majority of dealers and their representatives are more interested in themselves than doing what is right for the customer. If you want to have the complete opposite of that experience, you must reach out to Abdel at Johnson Lexus in Durham, NC. Abdel treated me like I would imagine he would want to be treated if he were shopping for a car. He was knowledgeable, professional, patient,and understanding. It was an absolute pleasure to meet him and have the opportunity to work with him. In the end, the GM couldn't recognize that I was actually offering value well over the actual asking price but it certainly was not for Abdel's lack of trying. The rest of the industry could learn a lot from him. Thank you, Abdel!

    Johnson Lexus of Durham (specifically the used car sales arm) is the epitome of everything wrong with car dealerships and car sales. When we initially decided to go to the dealership, they prided themselves as being like "the Carmax of used car dealerships" in how they offered the best upfront price with no haggling and a seamless and non-pushy sales experience. However, in our experience, the exact opposite was the case. The sales staff were incredibly pushy, going as far as to corner us on the way out with a "What will make you take this car home today?" when we said that we were interested but wanted to sleep on it for the weekend. Furthermore, they wasted our time by initially stating that they didn't want to negotiate, then backtracking on that and saying that they were if it would get us to take the car home today, then backtracking again and saying they do not negotiate. If they weren't going to negotiate to begin with, they should have said that from the beginning and let us think about buying the car. Finally, after leaving the dealership obviously both not interested anymore in the vehicle we came to see and upset from our treatment at the dealership we received three phone calls (one of which left a several second voicemail where nothing was said) and several text messages. By contrast, we went the following weekend to purchase a car at Carmax and it was exactly as expected: no haggle, no pressure, and a great sales staff. Not once did we feel like the team was wasting our time. Thus, Johnson Lexus of Durham claims to be the Carmax of Used Cars but, by contrast, performs the exact pushy sales practices and beat-around-the-bush style tactics that pushes people to Carmax in the first place. If you're looking to buy a used car, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere.

    Buying a car is typically a fairly stressful and aggravating process. That was not the case at Johnston Lexus of Durham. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.     My experience began working with Nick the general manager. He was very customer oriented, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. From finding the right vehicle to paperwork, delivery and post sale assistance. I also worked with the finance manager and technical guy to get everything set up and it was a a very smooth and friendly transaction. I’ve dealt with many dealers from Nissan, Acura, a local Lexus dealer and now Johnson. None of them compare to the service I have received. Their honesty is refreshing. I would recommend them to anyone. I live in a different state and still went to them to buy bc my father has purchased numerous vehicles fro them. A+ all around.

    Great Customer Service. I had a 7:30 appointment today; greeted with smiles from staff. I dropped my car off to get serviced to my air bag due to a recall on it, I was given a loaner vehicle to complete my errands in between time. My vehicle was finished before estimated given time.
