Ben Brooks Service department is the absolute BEST!! We were on a trip to Florida when my transmission went out in Orangeburg. Tahoe was towed to your dealership Dec 22 6pm Ben had a new transmission installed by 2pm Dec 23. Because of Ben...The process was stress free. He was so amazing and helpful. Vehicle broke down on I-20 just short of the dealership. Had vehicle towed to this dealership and was met by a friendly staff, Daniel Gibson-service advisor. Was originally told that it would take days to fix. Note this happened on a Friday afternoon before Fathers Day when everyone wants to go home. I was traveling home to the coast from upstate SC and trying to get home to my family as I had been away from them. Because of my dilemma, they worked out a trip to a rental car facility so I could get home. I was on my way home and received a call from Daniel that the vehicle was ready. He had stayed late and the technician stayed late to fix and clean my vehicle . Needless to say , I am extremely thankful to be home for Father’s Day. I want to thank all staff involved in this situation. What you do matters and we can’t drive without you. I will always recommend this dealership and will be. A client for life. Again thank you.

My wife and I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe from this dealership and I must say it was the best experience I’ve ever had buying a vehicle. Our salesman Eli Kim was the best of the best. He was very professional and knowledgeable of all the vehicle’s features and safety equipment and even went as far as buying us lunch. Mr. Kim also served in the military and we would like to say THANK YOU for your service. The sales managers and finance manager even went above and beyond to get the price and payments were we needed them. I have to say this buying experience of buying a car was one of the easiest all because of the staff at Jim Hudson Chevrolet. Everyone from the Sales guy to the Finance Manager to the General Manager. Everyone was friendly and quick to answer any questions. Special shoutout to Von Robinson.... he worked so hard to get this deal closed. He went above and beyond and Jim Hudson should be thankful to have him on their team. He even checked up on me a few days later to make sure I was good. I would highly recommend that if you're looking for a Chevrolet in South Carolina, to give Jim Hudson a call.

Not a good experience with Jim Hudson Chevrolet. I give them 3 stars because of the hard work the salesman, Chris Groh, put in with us. All seemed well until we get a letter from the finance company denying the terms. After almost a week of calls not being returned, I had to drive 30 miles to see them in person. The finance manager made calls while I sat in his office and now we're switching to a different finance company. 6 days later I'm still waiting on a call letting us know that's been done. Also, still waiting on a call after 3 weeks from the person who is supposed to schedule our spray-in bed liner. That was supposed to be 6 days ago also. Call me old school, but if you say you're going to do something, then do it. We won't shop there again and recommend anyone else go elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I were traveling from NY to Parris Island, SC. We needed work done on the truck or we wouldn’t make it there, and there were no rental cars available anywhere we had been. We stopped at Jim Hudson, who was the 3rd Chevy dealer we stopped at, and they were the first to be willing to/could help. Thanks to Zach Y., they made us a priority and squeezed us in when there was a lot full of vehicles that needed work done. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The salesmen (Niquan C. and Eric T.) would ask if there’s anything they could do to help, if they could get us anything, and just talk to us on a personal level and not a sales level. Zach Y. emailed us all the paperwork so we were able to get back on the road and get to our destination. Overall, we were extremely impressed with the service, the flexibility and the kindness of everyone we encountered! We cannot thank everyone enough for the service they provided us!! If anyone needs any kind of service, or a new vehicle I would 100% recommended Jim Hudson!

My wife and I both bought cars from here. We had the best experience working with Clayton “CJ” Bryant. He was extremely knowledgeable about both cars and could tell us about each and every feature for my wife’s SUV and my truck. He was very helpful and great at listening to our wants and needs! At one point my 1 year old was starting to get fussy. She is very picky when it comes to people holding her. She went right to him and laid her head on his shoulder. He was great all around and made us feel like family! We are a military family and have bought cars all over the country and this was hands down the best experience we’ve had! I’d highly recommend working with CJ and we plan to buy our next car at Jim Hudson Chevy!

Once again this place disappoints. Decided after the last visits issues I'd take truck back to get 45000 mile transmission flush done. I've heard alot of horror stories with the transmissions they are putting in these trucks. Figured at least it would keep it covered by the warranty even though they are around 100 more then anyone else around here. My appointment was at 4. Guy told me it be around 90 minutes. After being there for a hour and a half they come and tell me there transmission flush machine is down and they can't perform my service. They could of saved me the time and trouble of letting me know this before I arrived. I highly DO NOT recommend this dealership or service shop to anyone!!!

YOUNG BUYERS STAY AWAY!!!! This is by FAR the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dealership. I went in to place an order for a 2023 vehicle and was treated very unfairly because of my age. The manager refused to place my order until I showed him proof of pre approval for a loan and also wanted me to place a non refundable deposit for an order that may not even get picked up by GM. His excuse was that he needed proof I could even purchase the car before they ordered it…why would I go to a dealership to order a car I couldn’t purchase? He came off very offensive and disrespectful, and refused to place my order because he thought I couldn’t purchase the car. I went to another dealership instead and they required NO proof of pre approval and allowed a refundable deposit in case the order wasn’t picked up. 2 days later GM accepted my order with the other dealership. Stay away from this dealership at all costs.

My truck was disabled. I arranged with Hudson Chev. and a wrecker to have my truck delivered to the lot late on a Friday evening. When they came in Monday morning the contacted me immediately and committed to have it repaired by that evening. The truck was delivered as committed and I was able to continue my travels.

We bought a van from Jim Hudson and drove it 7 days it was picked up on a roll back and we haven't seen it since. It was sent to another company and dealership and my family is fixing to make a 2nd payment on a vehicle that we still don't have but we learned a whole lot about a sales men's family qnd sales history cause he gave us an all about "me" book to review while we waited for the financial department.

Customer service is good but their mechanics are trash and no I’m not lying I picked my 2017 camaro SS up from there one day after a $1500 install and I keep my camaro clean all the time but when I got my car it was black grease stains everywhere even on my brand new SS camaro Carpet and the second time I picked it up someone left my battery mount off and it was touching both terminals and shutting my car off also throwing big sparks in my trunk and literally about 3-4 after that a friend of mines had his camaro there and they did the same thing to them and he showed me and about 3 months after my motor went out and it had only 44,000 on it and Chevy did not want to fix it… and it was a weekend car I barely drove it.

I originally purchased my vehicle at love Buick gmc in harbison and always went there for my service. Though they got the job done the customer service was never top notch. Where do I even begin..... My husband and I went there just to look at a Tahoe we wasn't prepared to buy... well we bought. The experience with Jeff Buck our salesman was phenomenal. No where else will get our business for vehicles. They are kind and patient. Don't try and push you talks you through let's you know what needs to be done. Wasn't expecting to buy but prices were right. So happy we stopped today. They all went above and beyond for us and made sure we were satisfied with the whole process and purchase. If I could give this place a million stars I would. A customer for life. I'm sure all the salesmen are great but Jeff was so personable and friendly and very professional he kept apologizing for the time spent but it wasn't their fault at all we just wasn't prepared and we lived an hour away so just leaving and coming back wasnt too feasiblem i am pleased with everything today. While our visit started out rocky due one sales person clearly being new and not fully knowing how to do his job, Joe Roberts stepped in and helped him out and closed the deal with us. He is an excellent sales person who listens fully and helps his customers to get the vehicle they want that meets their desires and needs. Dominic is a friendly and interactive general sales manager. Lambo is a finance manager who does his job well by probing for all the information he needs to get the best financing at the lowest rate without having your credit ran unnecessary. Overall, we are very pleased by the experience we had with Jim Hudson. We do recommend them. They have the solid reviews for a good reason!

Tried to sell a 2016 spark with 53000 miles.. it needed tires,a good cleaning and maybe 1000 in body work.. offered 5 grand.. and they wanted me to sign title and they were going to send me a check.. bet I couldn't send them a check a week later if I was was buying it.. my hotel was 19 miles away and they told me they would call a Uber for me... beware avoid them

It’s a shame there’s not another Chevy Dealership option for service in Northeast Columbia. My neighbor told me this place has the worst service department/advisors and the reviews show it to be true. His service advisor strung him along keeping his car more than two weeks, far longer than initially promised. Now my son is experiencing the same kind of run around. He’s been waiting for a CPO repair but, with the lack of communication it’s obvious there’s no urgency by this service department/advisor.

I scheduled an appointment at this location for an oil change because the dealer I normally use didn't have availability for an appointment. I was impressed with the level of service I received from the time I arrived at the facility. Ben checked me in quickly. I received a follow up text stating if I needed anything while waiting on my vehicle I could reply to the text message. The waiting area was clean and spacious and my vehicle was completed within the estimated time frame. Additionally, the checkout process was very quick. I will definitely return to this dealership for services.

Each call I'm given a different excuse why it's not ready. An apology doesn't cut it! Absolutely horrible. I came in to drop off my 2020 Silverado 1500 Custom for service and in the meantime I went to the front to look at vehicles to pass time. While outside I was greeted by Eric whom turned out to be the best, most personable salesman I've dealt with thus far. He was not pushy at all. I ended up seeing a 2021 Silverado 1500 Z71 on the lot and fell in love with it. I told him that I wanted it and before my vehicle could even get out of the service department, it was traded in for the 2021. Eric made sure the process was smooth and quick because I was on a time crunch. Lambo whom is the finance specialist was great to deal with as well and had me in and out in no time. Overall it was a very good experience and I will continue to use Jim Hudsin Chevrolet!

I have never went in to a dealership that treats you with dignity and respect. The Salesman that I had Brandon Stewart, was so polite. He listened to what we wanted, and never did he try to convince us to look at other vehicles he knew we weren’t interested in. The finance department will try everything they can to get you into a car that you want. Our experience was so good that we ended up leaving with 2 brand new cars that night. My daughter got her 1st car at 17, and I got a new birthday SUV. Brandon will treat you like family, and even if you don’t buy one that day, the next time he sees you he will treat you the same! I would definitely recommend this place and ask for Brandon Stewart!

Just thinking about buying another vehicle was troublesome knowing that there are car sharks out there just wanting to make a sale. I go to this dealership was greeted by Mr. Joe Roberts and his young associate. (Can’t recall his name... he was new...sorry!) They both made this process of paying off my Jeep and purchasing a suburban very easy and they were not sharks just trying to make the sale. They took care of me and the financing was easy. Edit: After a talk with service manager Mike and service writer Carl all is resolved and they made things right. I appreciate it! I am completely dissatisfied with the service I received at Jim Hudson Chevrolet. On Monday at 8 in the morning, I brought my Tahoe in to diagnose suspension problems. I did not receive an update on the status until 4:57 pm. Because it took so long without prior warning, I could not get a rental car anymore. The next day, I arrived at Jim Hudson Chevrolet around 10:30 am. I asked the service writer, if he got me a rental car. His response was, he has not reached out to the warranty company yet. Then he told me he would do it today, and I will have a rental car the same day. I called around 4 pm asking for the status, he said it has not been done yet, because he was occupied with other customers. I had to return to the dealership, this is when he called the warranty company to get me a rental car. By this time, it was almost 5 pm and too late to get a rental. This means that two full business days of my time were wasted, and on top of that I had to babysit the service writer to do his job. Now I am inconvenienced trying to pick up the rental car on the third day, what should have been done the first day, when I brought my car in.

Joe was really helpful over the phone. When I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted by a very friendly employee (forgot his name), and then I got introduced to Cassidy for the sale. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the truck I came to see, leaving no question unanswered or unclear. The Finance/Deal making guy (again, bad with names) was also very helpful and we were able to come to a deal I was happy with. Finally, Lambo was great to work out all the paperwork with. Overall, best dealership experience I have had and I never felt pressured at any time to do or buy anything, it was really focused around my wants and desires. I hope the service department is as great as the sales group and I look forward to returning. Update: Got my first experience with the service department today. I called in with a flat tire from an alert my truck texted to me (cool feature btw!). They were able to get me right in, fix the issue for under $50 in under an hour, and send me on my way. Cannot complain one bit.

I had a great experience at Jim Hudson Chevrolet when I took my Silverado in for a recall issue and to get the tires rotated. Ben handled things quickly and professionally. I asked them to check a slow leak on one tire and they couldn't find a nail in the tire but took it off the rim, cleaned it and reinstalled -- for no extra charge. It was ony $24.95 plus tax for the rotation. They also reassigned the tire pressure sensors after rotating. The well-known local tire dealer I had been using for years prior to this would only do this for a $50 charge, primpting me to buy my own TPS tool off Amazon. But I didn't have to worry about it at Jim Hudson. They also included a note on the receipt to tell me where the tire had been moved so I could keep an eye on the pressure. I will go back for my next rotation or when I need work, for sure.

They have somewhat fair prices online, but good luck getting them to honor them. They insist that the prices online include lots of rebates no one person will ever qualify for (such as trading in a Chevrolet you own AND coming off the lease of a Chevrolet).... This is BS as the discounts on the website are labeled as manufacturers rebate and dealership rebate only. Not sure if this kind of false advertising is legal as other websites in this state and others list out these rebates in a breakdown when you look at them online. Stivers will just insist they can't honor their own prices. I ended up having to take their ad to another Chevrolet dealership and having it price matched there. Edit:. Copy/pasting a generic reply to any negative review is pretty tacky, especially when said reply requests that I take time out of my day to help your business address its own issues. As I said, I already price matched the ad at another dealer. I have my vehicle. There is nothing left to offer me now, and I have no interest wasting my time on the phone to donate free help to those who wouldn't work with me. I also told your salesman when he called me back almost a week after I walked out, trying to tell me "my vehicle was still here waiting for me"..... "No thanks. It's too late now."

He was outgoing and professional, and knew the vehicle inside and out. He answered all of my questions and explained all of the options on the vehicle. The test drive was thorough, and I never felt rushed or pressured. He explained each step in the buying process and was attentive and helpful throughout. He introduced me to the team members of the service department, and explained exactly how to handle scheduling service. The entire staff was outstanding and made me feel like family. I called and made an appointment on Monday. I spoke with Nikki and she got me in the next day, I was greeted promptly by Barry Davis, Service Advisor. I explained my problem, he listened , and said they would check it out. He called me a little while later and told me what the car needed and that it would be ready later that afternoon. He called me when the vehicle was ready. Everyone including Nikki and Mr. Davis were very friendly and helpful. I have owned 5 different Corvettes over the past 10 years and have had them serviced and repaired at Stivers'. I have always been pleased and never had a problem.

Terrible customer service! My husband purchased a 2014 Honda Odyssey from them in March. There were some minor issues with the van and we were told they would fix them. Cool. One of the things wrong was the paint was chipped quite badly on the driver side mirror. When we picked it up, not only did they miss multiple spots on the mirror, but the mirror is also now broken! It can't be adjusted at all 🙄 My husband took it back on a weekend because we work all week and the staff said they couldn't help. They said we had to speak to a manager and to call during the week. It has been weeks since this happened and nobody will return our calls. So, not only did they not complete the original issue, they broke other things and now won't even fix any of it. I am definitely not happy about this. Hudson Chevy, you can and should do better by your customers. Get better mechanics if they can't fix things properly 🤷♀️

My car was done in a timely manner. But… when I got it back it was still doing the same thing. It’s more like they rebuild my part poorly instead of putting in a brand new part as they said they were doing. Also the technician went threw my stuff threw things across the floor and stole 2 items and when spoke with my service tech his reply was I can assure you that my techs don’t need any of those things and that he would have a manager to reach out to me soon NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK. Take your car somewhere else.

Sly in the financing department was super helpful and straight to the point and honest. My car buying experience at Jim Hudson Chevrolet was beyond SPECTACULAR. I have never had a car buying experience that was so peaceful and simple. Mr. CJ Bryant is the ABSOLUTE BEST car salesman EVER!! He was professional, the kindest, most knowledgeable, and the most respectful salesman I have ever encountered. Stivers is a crocked dealership DO NOT BUY any trucks from them every single 2500 Silverado truck on their lot is full of rust. I bought a 2018 2500 Silverado High Country with 11 miles on it just to find nothing but rust on the undercarriage when placing mud flaps on my truck. I took it in to them and was told this was normal and nothing was going to be done about it. No vehicle should come off a lot with rust the way this one is. I went to both Loves and Herndon Chevrolet and none of their 2500 Siverados had rust on them. After taking it to a third party mechanic I was told were they saw parts replaced just to make a sale and this is not "normal". General Motors contacted their district manager who again assured them that this was "normal". Please dont get robbed by them as I did. Now I'm stuck paying for a rusted vehicle that will not last down the road.

I was able to have my vehicle serviced with one day's notice. Used the night drop to leave my vehicle. I had a text message by 7:00 AM the next day to verify the service requested and to tell me the price. I paid later that day online using the link in the email they sent informing me my car was ready. Picked up the vehicle at 6:15 with no waiting that evening on the way home from work. It could not have been more convenient.

They were so backed up though but finally got everything done but a bit expensive just for an alignment. It took days for them to look @ my hybrid Chev Volt. Only 1 mechanic qualified to work on them there.

I came in to have my camaro diagnosed. Ben was very helpful and walked me through the process. They gave me a loaner while they were looking at her. I was having a stalling problem with the car that I bought somewhere else. Ben and the team worked diligently on my car and got everything figured out and parts replaced within a couple days!!! I had a issue with the rotors on my 2019 Corvette Grand Sport that should have been addressed at the dealership where I purchased the vehicle from. Anhony Japps was my sales reps, and he went over everything with me and went back and forth with the Finance Dept. to get me into the car that I WANTED, not whatever was available! Terrible customer service! My husband purchased a 2014 Honda Odyssey from them in March. There were some minor issues with the van and we were told they would fix them. Cool. One of the things wrong was the paint was chipped quite badly on the driver side mirror. When we picked it up, not only did they miss multiple spots on the mirror, but the mirror is also now broken! It can't be adjusted at all 🙄 My husband took it back on a weekend because we work all week and the staff said they couldn't help. They said we had to speak to a manager and to call during the week. It has been weeks since this happened and nobody will return our calls. So, not only did they not complete the original issue, they broke other things and now won't even fix any of it. I am definitely not happy about this. Hudson Chevy, you can and should do better by your customers. Get better mechanics if they can't fix things properly 🤷♀️

I'm Very Very disappointed with the Capital Chevrolet of Columbia SC. I'm from Orangeburg SC. I skipped over local dealerships in Orangeburg SC seeking a family vehicle on Jan .02,2017. I was encouraged to purchase a 2012 Chevy Traverse with only 43,000 miles, 1 owner in great condition according to the CARFAX. It was located at a sister lot (which they claim to own) the vehicle was driven to Columbia the evening of Jan.2nd after I waited patiently at the dealership all day. The sales person was very helpful and adamant about getting me out the door especially since it was now after dark . 60 days later my husband returned from a trip and was able to look over the vehicle and review it , he immediately took photos and notified me of necessary items missing on the vehicle . There was no jack ,no spare tire and the mount for the spare tire is completely missing . The undercarriage of the vehicle as you can see is littered with rust to the point that I am unsure how long these components will last . The body looks good, but underneath it all the durability and the looks of things are not pleasing. I called the lot from which I purchased the vehicle and was told to come on down and we'll exchange it. I was not greeted with the same hospitality & handshakes that I got when I purchased the vehicle. Brian Lindsay, who is the General Sales Manager offered that all we can get is brand new vehicle with the trade in we had, the Traverse & a negative equity of $4,000. He also offered that We could go half on the undercoat to cover the rust, and that we could pay for roadside assistance every time we need to change a tire. He informed us that the factory warranty we had was useless. He also said that he would buy a vehicle in that same condition for $18,000 and that he has purchased vehicles in the same condition . We found 2 vehicles on the lot that we were interested in 1 which was cheaper in cost but had about 100,000 more miles on it , they stated that they would not work a deal with us to get either of the vehicles . For the operator to continually express how they own so many other lots and they do so much business its heartbreaking that they are unwilling to keep a customer satisfied . no one want to hear YOUR STUCK WITH IT .

Found Jim Hudson when looking for a dealership to care for my new Chevy Colorado. They were the third dealership I went to in Columbia. My experiences with the other dealerships were exactly like all the horror stories you hear. Jim Hudson's guys have completed work quickly, professionally, and beyond expectation. The reason for a middle star is I brought my truck in on 04/29/2021 for a oil service and tire rotation I also wanted the premium cleaning service which included everything. The vehicle was at Jim Hudson for almost four hours. I had a meeting to attend so I paid and rushed off to my suprise when I saw how dirty the truck over the rear wheels was like never been touched. I found other spots. I had to leave work again to take it back because the cost was $179.00 for premium. I get here and Zach had to get service manager to look over it his name was mike All mike would say ok do u want to leave or stay for it to be redone I asked how about remove some of the charge since I had to come back and take more time off from work. All I got was have a seat in waiting room and they will see what they can do. I would not have been upset if it was a 29 dollar clean but it wasn’t I just feel the wash person failed to do their job and I know my service guy is busy but work needs to check before sending a bill. I even called twice to serve guy and got voice mail and when I drove back from downtown he was sitting at computer with no customers. I see what services they have now and this maybe last time I use them. I just didn’t feel that warm customer service I thought I would expect but I guess it’s the way Jim Hudson is

Returning home from a quick beach trip, with little warning, we received a low pressure indicator on one of the tires on my wife's Traverse. I pulled over on the side of I-20. While changing the tire, I asked my wife to Google nearby tire shops. Not satisfied with the results, I asked her to Google nearby Chevrolet dealerships. Jim Hudson Chevrolet was just over 8 miles ahead. After getting the spare tire on the car, with hazard lights flashing, we made our way to Clemson Road and Jim Hudson Chevrolet. As soon as we pulled in to the service department, we were promptly greeted by service advisor Ben Brooks. As Ben asked what he could help us with, he noticed the spare tire. I explained the situation, and he invited us inside. He made sure the tire was in stock, and I told him that the treadwear on the three remaining would indicate replacement in the not-too-distant future, and after measuring the tread himself, he agreed. He checked to see if a set of four tires was available, and we were in luck. He said he would get the car in the back immediately and that we should be back on the road in an hour-and-a-half. While in the waiting room, EVERY employee greeted us and asked if there was anything they could do while we waited. Within an hour-and-a-half, Ben let us know that the car was ready, that the spare tire had been put back in its original location, and that we were set to go. As we checked out, I thanked Ben for his kindness and professionalism and for the kindness and professionalism of all of the Jim Hudson staff members we encountered and let him know that had this situation happened near our home dealership, we would have been treated very differently -- as an inconvenience. The staff at Jim Hudson Chevrolet treated us as long-time customers they were glad to see and that they were happy to have our business, and we were glad they were the ones there to help us on a rough afternoon. Dropped it off and it was ready when they said it would be. I am a little disappointed that this Jim Hudson doesn't vacuum the front and send it through the carwash though. I am used to better amenities/perks at their other locations. Hope that changes soon.

Brought our car to Jim Hudson Chevrolet in Columbia SC. For power steering issues. They talked me into fixing 2000 dollars worth of things during my travel from Florida to pa. We were forced to leave our car in sc for the last week. Was told by rep it would be done on weds so we drove out 8 hrs away on weds stayed in local hotel and Thursday when going to get the car was told our service rep wasn’t in called all morning transfer from receptionist 10 times but no one answered until 11 am. After I demanded she get me in touch with someone so we could get our car and head back to pa. Just to find out our rep was off and our car wasn’t finished after driving 8 hrs and staying in hotel. Said they were scratching their heads and didn’t know what was wrong. Told us to go home because it could be a few more days. That whole next day didn’t even get an update from them after asking 10 times to keep me in the loop. Finally after waiting that whole day and the next morning waiting for an update I reached out they said they got 2 faulty steering motors and the third one was the charm but I believe they didn’t want to recoup the cost of the motor since they fixed the wrong part. Now they are charging me for it again. I give this place a BIG THUMBS DOWN. It took over a week for them to figure out and diagnose the problem. And I didn’t even receive a call to tell me what the end result was just a text saying cars ready and I owe another 1000 dollars! Worst service ever in my life. No one go here. They are trying to upswell something serious.

I don't care for coming here. I had an appointment at 12pm and I got here at 11:45am and the time is 1:47pm and I'm still waiting. I don't understand way it's taken so long to just get a new car key. And get it program to my car. No o e has come to me and check. I will not be coming back here 😒
