Though it’s a little embarrassing to share, but actually I owed a lot of money to the IRS. I am a 1099 employee and did not pay taxes throughout the year (because of lack of knowledge). With passing years, I got slammed with more money owed to the IRS. As the penalties and interests kept piling on, I lost all hope of ever becoming a tax-free person. I was unwilling to take help of a professional company as I was quite skeptical that they would not be able to help me with the back taxes. Jarrar CPA & Associates patiently went through all the pending tax filing and reporting. Their professionals have diligently worked on my case, while keeping me well informed at every step. They took it as a challenge and thanks to them, today I am able to sleep peacefully, free of stress.

We are left with inaccurate and incomplete bookkeeping as his bookkeeper was mixing my accounts, and I was continuously correcting their errors. We continuously felt frustrated, deflated, shocked, saddened and distressed with his lack of integrity and lack of serious management skills, all the time worrying that they are not capable of delivery accurate numbers since they are not communicating nor accommodating. His staff's behaviors continued to decline and that changed everything for us. I noticed that in a few of these email follow ups, that he responded to my husband and not myself, and he would not address my name in an email. You can make up your mind about how that comes across. Our experience with Sam and his team turned into a nightmare that went on for 10 months, with the last 4 months being the breaking point for us. Engaging him and his team for our business accounting needs, was a grave mistake. We no longer work with him and have hired a new CPA and Bookkeeper, are paying additional fees to clean up our accounts. Be aware of what is going on and how he is single handedly, losing their credibility and business. He and his organization should not be in business and you should not be trusting him with yours. We met with Sam in May '18 to discuss our goals, vision and business structure. He charmed us by saying yes to it all, including open communication via email and phone. He wrote the summary of our accounts, our vision and what his firm would charge on a piece of paper in his note book. He said he would email us the next day and never did. Days went by and my husband emailed him asking for his firms quote. He said that he couldn't find the quote and he would send us another quote via email which he did and we agreed on a price but I wish we had taken a photo of the ordinal one. He set up my bookkeeping and then later on he claimed, that his monthly quote to us was for one account only! Which it was not what we have agreed too. All parties should have also been more detailed in their emails. Sam passed on our tax preparations to a staff member/associate without briefing them about our full business and personal tax set-up. Later on, this resulted in the associate, preparing our taxes wrongly. Unfortunately for us, my husband approved the numbers whilst on a business trip and having completely trusting that Sam had prepared his hired associates with the understanding of the previous Tax structures that we have spoken about. Once we returned from our business trip and re-looked at the numbers, we realized what had happened; and went back to him to address this issue. On a call with him, we advised that this is not how we all strategized our original Tax Strategy with him and his firm. He agreed to waive the Tax return Re-Filing fee and went on to say how generous he is for doing so. Whilst we appreciated the waive gesture, equally, we couldn't believe his audacity for not taking any ownership of his part of the issue. Nor did offer an apology, and he started to justify and blatantly blame us. We took ownership of approving the numbers blindly and having trusted that he had incorporated our business needs. He told us that he's busy with much larger companies and that we are not priority. Well, perhaps if he first told his associates our original tax structures then we wouldn't have had to re-file our returns. I had enough and asked for one month's fee back to me for the sloppiness that we were experiencing. Sam graciously agreed to the one month return fee and told his accountant to send us the check, which never came. My husband noticed this delay we finally received a direct payment in July. His bookkeeper spent sporadic time on my account with incomplete tasks, unanswered emails (some up to 4 months) and no matter how many times we explained our structure to them, they kept getting it wrong. We completely lost our trust, respect and confidence in him and his team. From the nature of the emails between his staff members, it seemed that the bookkeeper maybe positioned off shore.
