Insignia on M New Jersey Ave, Washington

I have lived at Insignia on M for about a year now. I absolutely love my apartment, the only reason I gave four stars is because the amenities (mostly the gym) are a little out-dated compared to many of the newer buildings in the neighborhood. Ja'Marvae (one of the leasing agents) is super helpful and quick to respond whenever I have any questions, and Linda (one of the concierges) makes walking into the building on the weekends so welcoming!!

Best apartment lease experience I've ever had! Their management, cleaning, security, and maintenance teams are awesome! They care about safety and I appreciate the mask mandates in community areas. I also love the state-of-the-art gym and beautiful community spaces. The amenities like easy recycling, coffee machines, and local food delivery service agreements make living here really convenient.

The staff are just as friendly as the reviews state, but unfortunately, as someone who works from home, I have to warn others that the doors and walls are insanely thin. There's often a chorus of dogs barking (anyone who has a barking dog in your hallway will echo straight into your apartment) and neighbors' music and conversations come straight through the walls. I used to live at First Residences across the way and never heard anything from my neighbors there. If it weren't for the staff I would give one star, but sadly cannot recommend especially if working from home.

We absolutely loved it! The building and apartments are beautiful and the staff is extraordinarily nice. Plus it's right in the middle of the Navy Yards by the Nats. Doesn't get better.

I enjoyed my stay here. The place was always clean, concierge was nice and leasing office was great! Ja’Marvae always made sure I was taken care of. This is one of the best communities in Navy Yard

Extremely thankful and appreciative of all the staff. Insignia makes this place a home and the cleaning staff works so hard everyday. Everyone takes pride in their work to make the residents the ideal place to live. I can’t wait for rooftop pool season!

I’ve lived in Insignia since Fall of 2019 and the maintenance team is always responsive. The location of the building is also great for commuting. They have all the amenities you really need even if they’re not as updated or top of line as newer builds in the area.

Linda W. at the front desk is by far the friendliest, most personable, and most helpful concierge I’ve ever had in my almost 4 years of living in DC. I can’t say enough positive things about the concierge and maintenance team here!

Love living here. Convenient to the metro, stores, restaurants and close to museums and downtown, but quiet. The front desk is super friendly and helpful. Marcus is always smiling and looking extra professional. Also we enjoy the views and the common areas.

I have loved living at Insignia on M. The building is always spotless and management addresses needs very quickly and professionally. I highly recommend this building to anyone looking to relocate to the Navy Yard. At the front desk, Marcus Ewell, is a concierge and is most excellent. He is always nice, attentive, and competent.

Great place to live! Staff is on top of everything, beautiful location and building. Best place to live in Navy Yard DC! Splurge for the two bedroom facing the stadium. Worth it. Also, Tyanna is the best concierge. Wonderful and friendly with an eternal smile on her face!
