URGENT. In my nearly 40 years on this earth I can tell you that this credit union is the absolute worst to do business with. Their business practices and customer service rank amongst the worst that I’ve ever seen. If you are looking for a real customer service I would strongly suggest that you change to affinity plus credit union or Wings credit union. “IDEAL” is most certainly an oxymoron in this case.

Over the past few years quality customer service has slowly become non existent at Ideal Credit Union Inver Grove Heights branch. My latest encounter was my breaking point. I chose to close my account of 25+ years due to the disrespect I received from the branch manager Chee Thao. The lack of professionalism in the branch is a cause for concern especially from this level of management. The way Chee presented himself and carried out our interaction does not represent the Ideal Credit Union core values and mission in any way, shape, or form.

I have been banking here for 19 years and I have never been disappointed yet. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The bank itself is new and gorgeous. Downside was that I went to make a deposit (with my young son in the car, hoping for a quick trip to the bank) and could not believe there was NO DRIVE-THRU!! So disappointed! I will make sure to visit another branch next time!

My parents have been members and helped get me started with my very first checking and savings account at Postal Credit Union, now Ideal Credit Union. I’ve been a member for about 34 years now, since I was a teenager, and now all my children are members as well. We are all continuing on with the family banking tradition! It’s a great bank and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Hands down the worst Credit Union I have done business with. Despite my 15+ year relationship I can say that this place is a waste of your time. They have played many games with the payoff of my loan and even refused to issue a lien release to the dealer that I traded it into. IDEAL CU has forgot what makes businesses successful, CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have since brought my business to Vermillion Bank where the Rates are just as competitive and the employees actually treat you appropriately.

Experienced and friendly staff that have worked hard to meet my needs. Ideal is a great credit union and they have the mobile technology and apps available to me. These allowed me to stay with this credit union even though I moved to Faribault.

Great deal low interest and warranty for my auto. Saved about $2000 for the life of the loan compared to a non credit union bank.

Disappointed there is no drive thru. Very short hours as well, they don't open now until 10am. The lobby line is always long with really no where to stand, the line design is Terrible. Most of the time the line is out the front door. Pretty building, it's too bad with all that money they could design more accommodating to clients.
