Hy, the owner and proprietor is good people. He is responsive, non-judgemental, and focused on his clientele. I've only conducted business with this pawn shop on a couple occasions and Hy remembered my name which is astonishing considering how many individuals he meets on a daily basis and my status in South Ogden as it is. This alone, not to mention how he conducts business with his patrons (which is very professional, and no low-balling) he not only works with you if you keep him informed when asking for a lenient grace period to either pay on or pay-off a pawn loan, which he did for me. But this alone, invoked me to write this complimentary review of and about his business. I have purchased and plan to purchase again from this business due to my rapport with the business owner, hence me stating that I'm impressed and hopefully those of you that read this review and happen to stop by this proprietor's business may feel the same way.

Very fair and reasonable, while looking at pricing of a Microsoft Surface I brought in to pawn, not only did he take the hardware upgrades into account when pricing, but also had corrected his own price after noticing the ones that sold for cheap were damaged. Most pawn shops won't even let you see the price research process, or just talk smack on your items in order to undervalue them. My experience felt very fair and much more like a deal, rather than "getting screwed by the pawn shop". 10/10 a new regular, I will be returning as many times as I need to on the road to being stable enough to not pawn my things.

Excellent service and more than fair. I don't have much experience with pawn shops but this definitely exceeded my expectations when I needed to sell some blue rays and DVDs in a pinch. I would highly recommend.

Super friendly and helpful. I walked in with a ton of question about a firearm purchase and they spent the time to answer all my questions.I walked out extremely pleased with my purchase. I will be visiting them first to see if they can meet my firearm needs before going to the big box stores. While I was in the store multiple other customers came in for different services offered by the shop and they were all treating with the same great customer service i was receiving. Not your typical pawn shop experience.

This pawn shop has a warm and friendly feeling. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about thier products. Hyrum, is the gentleman that assisted me on a small loan. I left with a great feeling, a whole lot more knowledge about gold, silver and guns. Plus my loan. I highly recommend this pawn shop to anyone in a pinch like I was. Or just to buy some quality products from great people.

Hyrum and his wife Stephanie have been the most pleasant people to do business with!! They understand that times are tough for alot of us right now and alow a little bit of leeway on your payments. They won't put your items out to sell if you are a few days late on your payment. You just need to be in contact with them and let them know that you will be in to pay. We really appreciate them. My husband and I have been customers for a couple of years and they have always been extremely friendly, professional and their offers have always been more than fair. Anytime we might have been a little late with our payments, we would call them and they were always willing to cut us a break as long as it was reasonable. One of the best pawn shops I’ve ever been to. They were so friendly and kind and never gave us a bad deal. Very Professional with their customers! I found my go-to pawn shop just as long as the current owners stay! 5 STARS all around and you get free ice cream what could be better then that!

Great place to purchase firearms OR to receive firearms purchased online. They are always super friendly and helpful. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. AAA+++ service. Also, they always have something cool to buy in their store; it is worth dropping by.

I highly recommend Hy and Mike’s pawnshop in South Ogden. The owner Hyrum is very easy to deal with and talk to. He is very professional and knowledgeable. The store is well organized and clean. I’ve purchased firearms here and I took a really good friend to purchase her first firearm here and we were treated with respect, he was very friendly and very nice. Hyrum went into great detail about the firearms and explained how to properly hold a firearm. Thank you for always giving us great deals and thank you for helping my friend find herself a firearm she was comfortable with. I've been shopping at hy& Mike's pawn in south Ogden for a long while now and every time I go in there Hiram (forgive the spelling...) Has been by far the best person to shop from. For starters, he loves his military veterans and first responders. The respect he shows each and everyone of them goes above and beyond what I've ever seen anyone do. I don't ever come across someone so respectful as him. He takes the time to learn everyone's name so he can greet them by name when they enter his store. Bringing in that welcome feeling. Today he helped me fix a computer I bought from him yesterday and altho he's not a computer guy turns out he's got some skills. He didn't have to help me fix it but he did going above and beyond for his customers. I don't recommend any other pawn shop but his which is located in south ogden. His prices are fair and he treats you like you are a part of his family and he's even got a dog!!

Conveniently located! Always a pleasant experience. I’ve gone in a number of times to make purchases and pawn items. Hyrum has never let me down. Never had a negative experience. Hands down the best pawn shop I’ve been to, as far as customer service goes. Would highly recommend this place to all my family and friends!

I had a break-in at my house several months ago and my mountain bike was stolen. I didn't have serial numbers and was deep in the hole. My bike turned up at Hy and Mikes Pawn. The owner Hyrum Received my bike from the scumbag who pawned it . He notified the police Once he was aware that it was possibly stolen and I'm in the process of receiving it. I can't him enough for doing the right thing. I've had nothing but a great experience at this pawn shop and look forward to purchasing ammo from Hyrums shop. Good people do exist !!!

The employee "Hyrum " was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. The store was organized and not cluttered feeling. The doggy was pleasant and welcoming. Very fair prices for both parties involved. Will be coming back again.

I really love this place. I've been to almost every pawnshop in Ogden. None of them can compare honestly. He is so nice and professional. They work with you and their goals are to never keep peoples property. As long as you communicate with them they are very patient. They also have a wide selection if your looking to purchase.
