This is not a complaint about overdraft fees. In fact, I've never paid one in my life. The problem at Firstmerit is incompetence. Three months ago, I open a business checking account and order checks. I am told the checks would be free and would arrive within a week. A month later, I still don't have any checks. The manager assures me that she will rush an order in and I can pick them up at the bank in two days. One week later, I receive checks in the mail, not at the bank. Several weeks later, I am charged the full price of the checks and an express shipping fee. I complain to the manager and she says she will reverse it. Weeks go by. The charge is not reversed. The manager finds a direct deposit that was made to my account for an amount close to the checks (about $30) and says that's the refund. She can't tell the difference between a direct deposit from a company I do business with and a fee from her own bank. After I explain this, she says she will submit a second work order. Which brings me to now. I'm not petty and I don't care about such a tiny amount of money. It's the incompetence of this bank that bothers me, their amazing inability to do anything right the first, second, or even third time. It's not the first time I've had problems with them either. If you hate incompetence and detest stupidity, choose another bank.

The tellers and managers have been polite and friendly. They have gone out of their way to help me on a few occasions. Love my Huntington!

Rude tellers I go to the one at giant eagle in elyria. Downtown Amherst is the worst customer care bank ever.

As horrible as the service is now a days Nicole has been taking my deposits for about a year and I just gotta give a shout out here. Always giving the same positive energy every single day I see her. Can’t get better than her service and how she operates the Huntington location. Always a great experience.

Never answer the phones and I asked if they had a bathroom for my small child to use and they said no while I saw one down the hallway. Who tells a child no who really had to go and I assume things like loans and opening bank accounts take some time. So where do people use the toilet? Where does staff go if they don’t have a bathroom as the clerk informed me.

This is by far the absolute worst Huntington branch I’ve ever had to deal with. People are so rude, always treat customers like they’re an inconvenience and they NEVER answer the phone when you call. I hate that this is the branch that’s closest to my house and avoid it as often as I can.

6 guests were standing in line with only one teller working . Two ladies standing in their office doing nothing but having a conversation with each other . No one came out and helped . It shouldn’t take 30 minutes for 6 people to make a deposit
