Love the bank! The people at this particular branch.....not at all! They've given me hard times cashing checks (like the rules change all the time). I just cash them mobile now. Also, I recently made an appointment to have a document notarized. I live in Allegan. I drove to Holland for this appointment. The doors were locked, so I called. They cancelled my appointment but never bothered to call and tell me. Rude and unprofessional. I will chose another branch 100%

WELCOME!!!!!!! Worst bank ever. They act like they want to help but they really don't. BEWARE!!! They close your account without telling you and then you can't get your money as they say they will send you a check in 15 days.
We are disappointed to hear about your experience. If you have any questions regarding the account closure, please give us a call (800) 480-2265, M-Sun 7am-8pm ET. Thank you.

Because either the formal complaint form is too hard to find or there is none on the official huntington website, I will be making a complaint here. This is about customer service help via telephone. I have multiple fees for overdraft. These last times I have been in contact with the bank, all the employees have been condescending even when I have paid back over $100 dollars in these fees. The bank also charges for return fees on electronic banking. This means that if you opt out of overdrawing your account so you wont be charged overdraft fees, you will still have a fee for an electronic payment that is tried to be taken out of your account. Meaning that opting out is completely useless. On the mobile app, it specifically says that if you don't want to be overdrawn by electronic payments, you can opt out. But the mere fact that you get a 40 dollar something fee for being tried makes this option completely useless and probably makes it even more expensive to opt out. Therefore, as much as Huntington is trying to appear like a friendly faced and speaking company, the customer has been very ingenuine and its overcharges on fees like any other bank. Literally, a computerized machine is charging customers for opting out of overdrawal to prevent fees. Its the most counterintuitive process in banking. These types of fees and transactions don't even take time or effort on part of the company so why do they charge so much for it especially for the people who have the least amount to pay for it but still come through with the payments for fees.
