Hung Le - Movement Mortgage Rosa Ave, Metairie

Currently working with Hung team and I am not having a pleasant experience. The lack of communication and response time is unprofessional. I will update this review if something changes.

I applied for a mortgage loan via Hung. My family and I recently relocated to Louisiana from Los Angeles, and after reading wonderful reviews about Hung Le, I decided to give the company a try. After speaking with Hung about what I was looking for and some of the potential issues he might find with my file, he reassured me, and I decided to apply with Movement. As soon as the application was submitted, I reached out to Hung and he offered to send me my credit report to check for errors, which I did and submitted back right away. After that, I heard nothing for a day or so, I reached out via text to ask Hung for a timeline because I noticed that their website promises to have a decision within 6 hours and it had been well over that. Hung responded with the text, "these items will need to be updated on the credit report." I tried to call him immediately to get clarification and was sent straight to voicemail. I then text him asking him to call me. I followed up with a few questions via text and have yet to receive a text or call back. I suddenly began to feel that all too familiar feeling during this process. I was left feeling confused, sad, and uncomfortable. I submitted a lot of confidential information to this company and allowed a credit pull (which matters to me as I'm working on my score) only to get "ghosted" by Hung. I honestly could not believe it, and I couldn’t help but feel that your company and loan officer dismissed me based on my application. Regardless of what the answer was from the underwriter, a simple answer or response would have been nice. I wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt due to Covid, etc, but in all my mortgage shopping, this so far has been the worst experience that I have had, with the worst communication model. If a company is behind, a simple email or call to clarify what is happening would be sufficient, especially when confidential data Is released to your company. Their promise to be a “movement of change” in this industry is completely false. If you need any help, advice, kid gloves as a first time home buyer, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Filled out an application never got back with me. Made me feel help less. Don't waste your time

Don't work with Hung. First, he asked us to fill out a LOOOONG and personal application and ran our credit without having a conversation with us first (despite numerous calls, emails and texts to try and speak with him). After the application we got no response until I badgered them for information. Finally his assistant called and said they don't work with that type of property. They didn't even look at the property ahead of time before running our credit and putting us through hours of work. Then he completely ghosted us so we couldn't even get our questions answered. I've heard other horror stories about working with Movement Mortgage. Horrible customer service, does not seem to care at all. Go elsewhere!!

We worked with Hung on multiple projects and cannot say enough good things about him. Fast, efficient, straight to the point. His loans do not fall through. If he says he can do it, it will be done. We highly recommend him to all our clients and friends.

By far, my most trusted lender. Super efficient and knowledgeable.
