Hughes Subaru Atlanta Hwy, Athens

After driving 2 hours, I bought a car from this dealership because they seemed honest, upfront and gave the the info I desired before making the trip to the dealer. This is my first Subaru, and the experience was off to a great start! I've now had this new Subaru for almost a year and I continue to drive past about 5 Subaru dealerships to get to this one, and here's why: The sales staff was transparent and responded quick to my online request for information, to signing on the line... Not a single surprise! Best sales experience I have possibly ever had, thanks Roy! I've now had several service appointments and Brett has always treated me like family. It's also nice to know that your service advisor drives a Subaru. Short version: The service department has been fantastic!

I love my Subaru Forester. I have to say after normally buying American made cars this car is by far my favorite. It handles well and checks off all the boxes for safety. I drive bit to and from work and it gets great gas mileage. The seats are comfortable and easy to sit in. I would highly recommend a Subaru to anyone wanting to get away from what they usually buy.

It is so easy and convenient to have my car serviced here. There are always several options for appointments whenever I need something done. The staff is friendly and usually quick. If you decide to wait in the lobby, they offer complimentary coffee, cold drinks, and sometimes snacks.

On our way home from Charleston South Carolina to Illinois. We had a misfire. They managed to fit us in same day and get us back on the road before close! Great service, excellent people!

This car buying experience was like no other I've ever had! Absolutely amazing! From the old car taken in when trading in our daughter's old Subie to purchasing her "new to her" Subie, I can't begin to tell you how much work these guys did to make us happy customers! The owner of the business was easily accessible and the manager and sales person were bar none! The service department hammered away at an issue until we figured it out and loaned us vehicles to make our transition to work easy. Couldn't ask for a better group of caring people! I brought my Subaru to the service center for a recall fix today. Staff was so friendly from the time I made the appointment on the phone to the time they were handing me my keys back. It was quick and easy! Will definitely be making the drive to Athens to get such great service.

My favorite Subaru dealer of many over the years, (in this case for service only so far).They are organized, prompt and seem to check carefully for real problems vs money makers. (For instance not selling me unnecessary brakes) Pus they are nice. Maintenance cost can be a bit high, with some improvement with coupons. Likely to buy my next car there.

Rarely do I say this, but Hughes Subaru is the best dealership with I have work in my 50+ years. They are honest and friendly. The service department is one that listens and offers options without up selling that so many others do. The salespeople are very knowledgeable and respectful. They never push you into buying anything. That I appreciate. For us we love working with Skieler Hanks. She was our amazing salesperson for many cars but now is an honest, straightforward finance manager. Her sound advise and knowledge is second to none. She also is our 5 yr old granddaughter’s “best friend”. She is our “best friend” also. Whether it is Joey, the GM, Bethany or Skieler in finance or the many amazing salespeople like Mike, you will not find a more honest or knowledgeable dealership period.

Such a great experience! Took my Subaru to have some routine service done and the service team at Hughes took care of my service needs AND went ahead and fulfilled a recall on my car. I was in and out in an hour. The last Subaru dealership that I went to in Gwinnett tried to sell me tires and brakes when I was in months prior but the service coordinator at Hughes told me I still had plenty of life left in my tires and brakes and that they will never try and sell me unnecessary things. Love them and will return!

My wife and I bought our first Subaru today from Hughes. The friendly relaxed atmosphere was refreshing. They had the exact Outback we were looking for. The entire staff from the GM, business manager, and sales reps were great. I would like to personally thank Richard Williams for walking us through the process. He is the without a doubt the best car salesman I have ever dealt with. He made the entire buying experience a pleasure!

I have never had such a pleasant car buying experience. Taylor was my salesperson and he was patient and thorough answering all my questions and staying in touch with me as I made my decision. Chuck is a good manager and met the price point I was comfortable paying. The finance department was like a birthday party! Usually that part of the experience is the worst. You feel like the heat is on and they are beating you with hammers to sign for things you never wanted. Not the case at Hughes. I am thankful for their customer service. Their desire to be the best will not fail you!

We were afforded the opportunity to find a Honda CR-V that we were interested in at Hughes Subaru. From the moment we first made contact our experience was hands down impeccable. Joey was extremely responsive and made the negotiating process a breeze, and Joanna was SO INCREDIBLE to work with! At other dealers we felt like there was a question of integrity, responsiveness but not with Hughes! We were treated so well and from the moment we walked in we knew we had found the place where we would purchase our car. The financing portion with Bethany was such a breeze and she worked so well with our credit union. AWESOME car buying experience! Fair pricing. Nice selection. No high pressure sales tactics. I unexpectedly found myself in the market for a new vehicle after mine was totaled in an accident. I visited most dealerships in town, not knowing what I wanted. Fortunately, I ended up at Hughes Subaru. Over the course of a couple of weeks, Richard was very patient with me as I tried out numerous models. After deciding on the Crosstrek, he and Joey were great in helping me find one with the right options. Thanks guys. I could not be more pleased!

Just returned from Hughes Subaru and can honestly say this was the best, yes the best experience that I've ever had at an automotive dealership. Our Service advisor, Kalie Graham, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable . The service performed was a recall action and I also requested a cabin air filter change. While we waited for service, the dealership provided shuttle rides back and forth to a local shopping center. The entire service took just under 1 & 1/2 hrs which also gave us time to test drive a Subaru Forester. The sales "Client Advisor", Mike Brownlow, was very professional and I was very pleased with his helpful suggestions concerning the pros & cons of purchasing new versus used Subarus. This was a 2 hour drive back and forth from North Carolina, but well worth the drive and when it's time to purchase another Subaru we'll definitely be back. Thanks to all the great folks at Hughes Subaru !

By far the best car buying experience we have ever had. We had been shopping around at different dealerships for a few days and wanted to check out a Subaru. This dealership is so very different from typical dealerships. Absolutely no pressure. Our salesperson, Will, was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We never felt uncomfortable or forced into anything. The sales manager, Skieler, was the exact opposite of what you would typically expect from a sales manager. She was very helpful, no pressure, and was able to get us a good deal on a very nice SUV. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle. These guys set the bar. Other dealerships would do well to take a page from their book!

Everyone knows purchasing a vehicle is a big deal for everyone and prices are high for any vehicle. Choosing great vehicle and a dealership to service and maintain that vehicle for years to come is a huge risk financially. I purchased my first Subaru Outback fully loaded in 2018 from Hughes Subaru and I couldn't be any happier with the vehicle and Hughes after sales service maintenance department and staff. I'm an engineer and know quality and value that's why I tell everyone there isn't a better value than a SUBARU product backed by a GREAT DEALERSHIP and STAFF. My investment in a Subaru has paid off a pleasure to drive, runs great and the service is fast, done right and priced fairly what more could you ask for. By the way my wife loves her Subaru Outback and Hughes Subaru Staff.

In the last two years, i have purchased 2 Subarus from Hughes. The experience was stellar from beginning to end. First, they have an outstanding product. They combine this with excellent customer service from the moment you walk through the door. They don't sell a car and drop you. They continue to take care of you and treat you consistently like they value you as a customer. Specifically, I have worked with Mike my salesperson and Skiler who took care of the paperwork for the sale. The service department has also been excellent. It is very easy to get an appointment and to get it quickly. When you arrive, they are efficient and get you out of there as soon as they can. In the meantime, they provide a comfortable space to wait. I can't say enough about the professionalism at Hughes. I highly recommend it. I will continue to be a customer!

I love it when I am so pleasantly surprised I have to write a positive review without any prompting! Mike was so kind and saved the car I saw online for me while I took my two hour drive down to Athens as Atlanta Subaru dealerships didn't have exactly what I wanted. Skieler took her time to go over the financials with me so I understood everything and she had such a compassionate and honest heart. I wish I lived closer to continually do business with them. It was the first fantastic and effortless car buying experience I've had in the past five years! Extremely pleased. I'm in the military serving overseas and Hughes Subaru was able to help me with receiving my WRX from the towing company, troubleshoot and identify the issues, then fix and service it up in a timely manner. I recieved notifications along the way and even when I had card payment issues, they were able to help me in that regard as well. Kalie Pike very nice and professional along this endeavor. I bought my vehicle from Hughes Subaru and was assisted by J Hardin. He was excellent about responding to all of my questions and concerns about the car buying process (which I had many). They worked with me on price and I never felt like I was being pressured. The car was in great shape as J stated and gave me the chance to get it verified by an independent dealer. It was delivered to me detailed and looking great. Overall, if they have a vehicle that you are interested in I would highly recommend reaching out to J and the Hughes Subaru staff after the positive experience that I had.

I came in to buy a used vehicle due to unexpectedly having my previous car die on me. I was limited with my funding and really wanted to be a cash buyer to avoid a car payment. Joey worked with me initially and then I finished up with Chuck the General Manager. I made an offer on a vehicle I tested out, told them what I could do and they didn't put me through the ringer on it. They worked with my budget and made a deal! Loved the friendly haggle-free experience. I also loved they didn't hound me on the phone when I initially showed interest in their inventory. I cannot stand pushy car salesmen like other dealers in Athens. Great experience! I would shop here again for sure. I got a 2012 Ford Escape. I had it checked by my own mechanic before purchasing and got the all clear. I appreciated they let me take it overnight so I could get that peace of mind. Overall great experience and I would shop here again!

I cannot sing their praises enough. My experience was nothing less than seamless. Oliver Espinoza was friendly and knowledgeable; willing and able to answer any questions that I had regarding the Forester and Outback. Joey Floyd was readily available to answer any questions regarding incentives, finance options, and overall numbers. And last but not least, Skieler Hanks. Her thoroughness during the finance aspect was greatly appreciated, explaining any and all questions regarding packages, warranties, and finance terms. Bottom line my experience was top notch. They were patient and willing to help in anyway possible. I wasn’t there for hours like a traditional dealership, fast and effective. I’m loving my new Subaru Forester and look forward to building a long lasting relationship with Hughes Subaru. Oh, and who doesn’t love a place that loves dogs; being greeted at the door by a sweet pup is a huge selling point.

I think these people know what they're doing, and they perform great service, but I don't trust them when it comes to telling me what work needs to be done to my vehicle. I stopped going to Hughes when not completely necessary when I took the rap sheet of all the work they suggested be done to another mechanic (one people I know trusted and has proven himself to be trustworthy) and he ended up doing about $300 worth of work where Hughes suggested about $2200. While I was there, another customer who had just been to Hughes Honda had the same story of way too much suggested work that felt predatory. I'm happy I don't have to deal with people I don't trust because it really ruins any good part of the experience.

Hughes was great. We knew what we wanted. We walked in and were out the door in less than two hours! Very nice and friendly. If you haven't had a Subaru, get one! We are on our 3rd. The have stepped up and taken care of warranty repairs even beyond warranty period! Amazing cars and amazing service! Thank you!
