    this place used to be great..the staff is still wonderful, but the credit union itself likes to nickel and dime the members with stupid fees for normal things like a paper bank statements, while providing useless things like coffee for free. Keep looking! UPDATE !they never sent me my statement for September, charged me for it and then when i requested an ELECTRONIC copy of the statement, I was charged $3 for it..For an EMAIL. Soon as possible, will be moving all of my accounts elsewhere..Horrible bank.

This fee can be avoided by enrolling in electronic statements (which in addition to being free are available to members as soon as the first of the month) on our website. As described in your statement, a paper statement fee of $3.00 will apply to members who prefer to continue receiving a paper statement. This is part of our effort to be environmentally friendly and reduce the amount of paper we use as an organization.     I really hate the workers at the Glens Falls branch. I came in today because I was having a problem with the telephone banking system. When I put in my account# and pin it says it can't verify my information. When I entered the bank the first woman at the teller station didn't know. She called another woman over who started yelling at me that I wasn't putting in the right the information. When I yelled back at her she left. The teller did check my account and gave me the information I was seeking. However, this was only after I asked her to do her job. The other woman who yelled at me went into another room to gossip about me to another employee. I still can't retrieve any information on the phone system.

    Went to close my account out 4 months ago and they never closed it and have been charging me! Don’t recommend this credit union, they don’t know how to properly handle situations. It seems to happen often when people want to close their accounts out they just leave it at 0 and let it go negative! Highly recommend parks heritage tho great bank :)

    I closed my account because they said I had to make regular deposits. Since when does a bank put limits on many deposits or withdrawals you have. Then when I had them transfer my money to a bank down south they split it up into 2 transactions. Of course you then get charged twice.

    I've used this bank for many years and more recently I've been very disappointed. The staff at my local branches are great and helpful. What upsets me is the online banking system. I am frequently locked out of my account, unable to get in, or reset my password. I've tried each time to reset it from home and every time it does not allow me to. I have to go into the bank and have them reset my password, then try to log in again and choose my security questions and answers. Usually this works for a while then the same thing happens again a few weeks later. I try to reset it from home by answering the security questions but then it asks me to answer questions that I didn't choose as my security questions and therefore have no answers for. I'm not typing my user ID wrong or my current password. This issue is frustrating and I'm seriously considering switching banks because of it. Update: I changed banks. I haven't had an issue since.

    Congrats! Since 0 stars isn't an option, you get one! I was trying to post this on FB but they don't allow the public to post, can't imagine why? Anyway, I'm looking to warn your customers about your inability to keep your customers money secure. A fairly large percentage of the transactions I have attempted with your organization have not been handled appropriately! I have had my card taken because I didn't use it a lot! I have been ask to leave & threatened to have the authorities called because I was wearing prescription sunglasses, I have made multiple deposits which haven't been credited to my accounts. This week I deposited $2,000.00 in cash only to have it be posted to someones else account!!! This is not the first time this has happened & I rarely bank there! You should be ashamed of yourselves. Your incompetence is deplorable and practically beyond belief! Based upon my experiences with Hudson River Community Credit Union, I would recommend NOT TRUSTING THEM WITH YOUR MONEY!!!

    Hidden fees are outrageous 28 dollars. CP is what they call it. 28$ For every transfer you make. They also charge you for not using your online banking.

    Poor customer service, poor management. Multiple errors over the course of a year. Not set up to handle businesses. Internet banking is not reliable. Check scanners are poor at best. Unable to handle multiple checks from customers. Very poor and frustrating experience with this bank. I would not recommend.

    I had an account with them years ago and didn’t have any major issues. Something went wrong when I transferred $5 into a savings account that I tried opening with them the other day and they charged me a $28 return check fee. They will not budge on the fee and I haven’t even finished e-signing the paperwork to open the account yet! How can you charge a fee for an account that isn’t fully opened? I will not be paying a dime and will go back to NBT bank who I have never had these problems with.
