Their motto is “Homie: We have your back”. In Orwellian irony, it should be changed to “Homie: A discount brokerage that may provide some service, or may actively work against you”. A longer review is on Yelp, but to sum up, they held my loan disclosures until after it was too late, conspired to move my earnest money out of an escrow account and into the seller’s account, then tried to clean up the mess by offering me cash outside of escrow. Opposite of having my back, they stabbed me in the back. Result? I lost $7,000 and have nowhere to live.

Brendan in Homie Loans is amazing!! He was so good about answering our questions and helped us get everything done to close on our home early. We wouldn’t have been able to get into the house we have without the savings from Homie Loans! There are still some kinks to work out in the process, but Homie is doing amazing things and saving people money.

I used Homie Loans when I bought my house, and again recently when I refinanced it. Seth was amazing to work with, and made the process quick and painless. Homie Loans was able to beat out all of the competitor's rates we were looking at.

Overall, not a bad experience. Aby was great to work with, she was super responsive, helpful, and really did her best to made sure we understood everything we were signing. Homie is a new innovative way to buy or sell a home and makes the process feel a bit more empowering. Would recommend Homie.

My experience buying a home with Homie Loans was AWESOME! Every person that I worked with over the course of this last month were very invested in making sure that I had a positive experience. I could tell that they genuinely cared about me and my quest for home ownership. Not only were the people so wonderful, but they also saved me thousands of dollars on my closing costs!! On closing day I had an issue with the lender that caused me to wait for 3 hours at the title company. Every one at Homie tried so hard to speed up the process for me but I ended up having to go back to work to keep waiting for the documents. After almost 5 hours of when i was supposed to sign the documents, they finally came through from the lender and I was able to sign and get my keys at the Homie office. They all felt so bad about me having to wait for three hours that when i arrived at their office they had a nice and thoughtful gift waiting for me! It completely changed my day around and made closing on my home a fun and celebratory experience! A special thank you to Vanessa, Seth, and Aurora for all of your efforts!! You guys are the best!! :)

Mallory and Alexandria were both fabulous to work with! The loan process was great! We got approved right on time and they even had the best rates over other competitors! They were both available quickly; whenever I had a question. They made the loan process as painless as it could be. I would definitely recommend using them for your next home purchase!

The buyers purchasing our home in Utah County used Homie Loans and a Homie real estate agent. We closed on a Friday and by the next Wednesday had still not received the funding due to huge mistakes made by Homie. We almost had to re-close. The Homie agent even begged us to let the buyers move into the house even though the loan hadn’t funded. Nothing was done to remedy the situation and we ended up losing loan interest due to their mistake. It was the most frustrating experience for us as the sellers and the buyers. After watching what happened, I have told everyone to stay far away from this company. I would never trust them to efficiently get a loan done.

I tried Homie Loans to handle a refinance and had a TERRIBLE experience with the Loan Officer Brian Cowley. After filling out the online forms and information they asked for (with a goal of getting a quote on a refinance like closing costs and new monthly payment), it was like pulling teeth to get that basic information. I had to follow up with Brian repeatedly because he would take days to respond or not write back at all. Eventually he stopped responding completely to my emails and I told him I was going to take my business to someone who would take me seriously. He never responded to that email either, so I guess he didn't care? I wasted so much time and I'm pretty sure he did a soft pull on my credit early on. So that was a waste. Huge disappointment!

Excellent job. Did a great job at communicating and were very easy to work with. My one note would be to just ask questions and contact them. Buying a home is a process and they did a great job helping us through it. Made it a lot easier and got us a great rate. Aurora was the person that helped us and she was amazing.

Great percentage rate and refinancing closing costs, but a huge headache to close. Took three notary visits to get the paperwork right. Now we can’t get our 2021 tax info from them. They also told us to send our first payment to the company who bought our loan from them. So we did and apparently they hadn’t even officially closed the loan so the new company never processed our payment so Homie called us three weeks later saying our payment (to them) was late. We were pretty frustrated thinking it could go on our credit.

We refinanced with Homie. Mallory was friendly and professional. She gave us a great rate and service Since we live in Colorado, they even arranged for us to close in our home. Homie sent a notary to us and made it so convenient. Top notch!

Kurt was amazing! He was always happy to answer all of my questions (and there were a lot!) and I got an incredible interest rate. Homie is a great company and they really do have your back.

I wish I could give a 10-Star review on our Homie Loan experience. I worked with Seth and Alex on our home loan, and they were honestly incredible. I never thought getting a home would be this understandable, easy, and affordable. These two were amazing and made it easy, sometimes even working after hours. I would recommend Homie Loans, especially with Seth and Alex, to everyone and anyone looking to buy/fund a home. They were personable, caring, fast, intelligent, and overall superstars. They know their stuff and get it done right. I couldn't be happier with the service and help I received.

We recently refinanced because the rates were so low... Homie Loans got us a great rate without a bunch of the fees other mortgage companies were charging. It was a pretty seamless process -everything was done electronically, which worked great for us. Thanks again Homie!

We had a fantastic experience using Homie Loans when buying our house. Seth and Alex really made the process of locking down financing as easy as it can be, getting us a great rate. As first time home buyers, we had a lot of questions, and they helped us understand every step of the process. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I am a first time home buyer and shopped around for a good place to get my home loan done. I can say that working with Mallory Dougherty has been an absolute pleasure. She walked me through the whole process of the loan, was transparent, and always easily accessible. I would highly recommend working with her, she was phenomenal! Her counterpart, Katie Nosack on represented me as my agent. and was extremely flexible with my weird schedule, and was also a pleasure to work with.

Bought a house. Went through Homie Loans for the mortgage and Homie for the realtor-- they were both amazing but this review is for Homie Loans. Mallory and Krista were my loan officers and they were always on top of everything. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and the rates and overall cost of the loan is much less than what we were quoted at a competing loan provider. Homie Loans didn't have as many closing costs or fees, for example loan origination fees. A competing loan officer wanted $3,000 for loan origination fees. Aside from being well priced Mallory and Krista were amazingly responsive and fast at moving our mortgage application along. I recommend Homie Loans with 5 stars. Edit: refinanced through Homie and Homie Loans because rates have dropped so much and the experience was excellent. They have an in house title company now which does a great job and is inexpensive.

This was my first home buying experience. I was referred to Homie through a good friend of mine. I was house hunting for 8 months. Seth and Emily would check up my house hunting progress to schedule any viewings. During this time it can be a bit confusing because Homie wants to schedule as many viewings as you request so you can get multiple touring agents helping you. The buying process went very smooth, and had no worries during the closing process. I want to thank Porter, Seth, Amanda, Emily, Dalin, Alex, Dara, and Justin for the amazing help during this home buying process. I definitely would recommend Homie to my friends and family. For the incredible home buying experience.

I was about to refinance my house called and got to work with Michael Hondel. When I first called he answered all my questions and he is very knowledgeable, he explained things that other brokers just breeze by. Also, it seems they are very competitive. Once I submitted my documents, he became very hard to reach, I had questions and couldn't get a hold of him. It took him about two weeks or more for them to be ready to lock in the rate. Another thing I didn't appreciate is that he told me that he didn't want to lock in the rate because he was waiting for the perfect time, while no body knows how the rates will act, its all speculation. I would of appreciated honesty if he would have just said he was too busy It took another mortgage company 2 days to lock the rate once I called them
