Let me start by saying that Bank of England was a fantastic company to work with when my wife and I were in the market for our first home. We worked directly with Duke and from the very get-go and it was clear that he had our best financial and personal interests in mind. As first time home-buyers my wife and I had a copious amount of questions which Duke not only graciously answered in our first meeting, but throughout the entire process from inquiry to closing. Whenever we did not understand financial logistics or programs Duke was only a quick call away. Duke constantly did everything in his power to give my family the best treatment, and I relied on him heavily for his advice. There was a particular moment in the process that Duke's excellence in his profession stood out. We were going to take advantage of a first time home buyers program that would allow us to place a lower down payment, unfortunately the zoning for our dream home was shy by just a few miles to meet the programs requirements. When this fell through my wife and I were very worried. We hopped on the phone with Duke, and he walked us through our next option which allowed us to take advantage of a different plan without any detriment to our overall financial situation. The day was a complete whirlwind, but Duke was there to ease our minds and help us push past the inconvenience to move forward and close the deal. His service to his customers is truly exceptional. My family now lives in our incredible home thanks to Duke and the team at BOE, and for that we are very grateful. We also made a lifelong friend in the process. I highly recommend Duke and the Bank of England to anyone who is buying a home, as their personable and knowledgeable staff will do everything in their power to cater to your best interests.

David Hammett is by far the best mortgage broker in Nashville. He took care of my loan quick and painlessly. He has been doing mortgages for 30+ years. He asked for all the necessary documents upfront and called me when it was time to close. He can answer any question you have and is not afraid to say "I don't know, but I'll find out". He stays up on the programs that different banks have to offer. He will adivise you as to which is best suited for you. Ultimately it is your decision as he is not pushy.

I wish I could give negative stars on this review for how this company does business. I understand times are tough, but what this company does is just down right dirty, disrespectful, and very very unprofessional. This company are the " lenders" to a buyer of my residence and they had guaranteed a closing date that seemed unrealistic, to get the business of my homes buyer. Well they past that deadline with very little contact. So not only ONCE was our close date/deadline moved but now it has been moved 5 TIMES. The lender and the managers DO NOT respond to phone calls or voicemails at all even when called and left at numerous times per day when it is within 48 hours of suspected "close". This company has NO regards for the well being or the life that it's customers have. They have items that need to be done in a timely manner that get pushed aside and waited till the last minute with zero communication AT ALL. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYONE. And the best they could come up with to "compensate" anyone was to give a small handout of nothing practically. I am Loosing money as each day passes as this continues to be extended because HOMEVANTAGE MORGAGE CANT do their jobs correctly. The ones responsible for this unprofessional and disrespectful action should be terminated IMEDIATELY!!!!

Duke is awesome! He is very much so experienced in his field of work. He made buying my first home an easy going experience. There were stressful moments, but Duke was always available to answer any questions to smooth out the process. You looking to buy a home... Duke is the man to get in contact with! David Hammett and the staff have been tremendous in doing a home loan and recently a refinance for us. Travis Howell and his team at Bank of England went above and beyond when we refinanced this Fall. The electronic system made it easy get all of the paperwork to them without having to drive over an hour to their office. Travis even made the trip to my closing office so I would feel more comfortable! Great customer service!
