My husband and I worked with Kim and Amy from The Hsv office. I was very disappointed with the Team we had. Out of 7 months, The communication was bad. They didn't keep us in the loop about anything unless I wrote them asking questions. I would go months without hearing from them until they needed something or updated app. I only went with them cause of my builder and the closing credit but wasn't worth it. Should have went with the other lender I had in mind..Everything was literally done online or through email, never a phone call to touch basis, unless I called. Then would rush me saying everything is time sensitive, I know it's a busy time with buying homes/ ref but I just wanted to feel like a priority. Im big on Great Customer Service and wasn't anything personal about this. It was all business. Building a home is stressful enough and they didn't make it any better. We was told that We could lock in our rate 45-60 days out. We didn't lock in our rate til 30days out and by then the interest rates had sky rocket again. We literally didn't find out we were clear. To close on our home til 9 days before closing. Very irritating and all or our excitement was gone by then.. I'm glad this wasn't my first time buying a home. I'm so glad it's over. I will never recommend this company to anyone after our experience. Then on top of this they ended up selling our loan to a company in NC immediately. So much for having a local lender smh.

Hometown not only had the lowest rates for refinancing but they also helped me with special circumstances like technical issues with my lack of technology experience. Also, they sent a notary to my home to do the closing paperwork. I never had to travel from Decatur to Huntsville to complete my refinance. They were always patient and kind when helping me get through the paperwork involved. It was a very wonderful experience throughout.
