Amy was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was very informative and answered any and all questions I had throughout the process. She managed to make the very stressful process of buying a house enjoyable. When issues did arise she was able to get in contact with the proper person and get it resolved quickly and kept me informed the entire time. Parker was the kindest and most attentive loan officer! His communication was great at every step, and the service was second to none. Plus, his video breakdowns of my loan options were very easy on the eyes 😉😍. They even went above and beyond to try to expedite my closing when my plans got in the way, and, when that couldn't work, they sent a mobile notary to find me at a music festival in the middle of nowhere to close on my refinance! Now I've got the cash to make my baller pad dreams come true and finally show my idiot neighbors who has the best Halloween decorations.

Terrible mistake! Paid my first payment with $2000 extra. Never applied extra. Sold my loan. Now 4 payments in and still no extra money applied to my loan. Where is my money? I’m not filling out any form. Where is my $2219.49 This is the worst . Have a terrible day Homestar!🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻

My overall experience with Mr. Cedric Johnson was phenomenal. His superb customer service is unmatched! We had several complicating factors - we were living and buying a house in Texas, buying this house in Georgia, and had a realtor who wasn't always as helpful as we would have liked. Shane and her staff were awesome! She was knowledgeable, helpful, always available (or called back quickly) and was a very calming presence at a stressful and hectic time. She patiently answered all our questions (sometimes more than once), provided feedback, and helped with the entire process. We ran into a bit of a snag with the timing of the appraisal - but that was outside of Shane's hands - and we still go in under 30 days! Other than that, the process could not have been easier. I would highly recommend Shane and Homestar!

I would never recommend anyone get a mortgage at this company. This company has some of the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Not with the people that are in the Customer Care center, but the way that the company runs. Since Oct. 2021, I have had to call in to Customer Care numerous times to request that my monthly escrow amount is reduced. I have provided all requested documentation that my county taxes have gone from more than $3,000 a year to $961.89. However, I am continuing to be required to pay $279 a month in county tax. I have tried to explain to them that this is a simple math equation and if someone would just take the required annual tax of $961.89 and divide it by 12 payments, they would see that I am grossly overpaying every month. But, yet, all I ever get is that they will put in a ticket to have an escrow analysis completed. When I call back in after this should have been done, I am told that the analysis was done and nothing needed to be changed. But yet, every time I have to call back in and I am required to go through the entire story again. However, I know they are typing notes during each call. This company either does not train their associates to be able to fix issues or the associates are not given the authority to do anything. I would never recommend anyone get a mortgage at this company.

Nichole from Bowling Green along with Jessica Bourne was the best, they did a wonderful job. They helped us on what we thought was a tearful journey. Everytime we wanted to give up because we didn't understand something or thought it wasn't going right, they were right there to explain it and help ease our anxiety. They helped us get our dream house, best duo out there. We are really grateful!
