High Country Bank US, Salida

I have used American Bank, SunTrust, and multitude of others and they have ALL been horrible. The only two banks that I have found to have amazing customer services is Capital One and High Country Bank. I can only speak for myself from reading other reviews. But, they know me by name. The services has always been amazing. I take my two dogs everywhere. When I pull into the drive through lane there they always send out biscuits. I was in a car accident. The person that hit me didn't have insurance. They just wanted to pay for damages and was going to send the payment by ACH. I didn't feel comfortable giving out my checking account number to this person. I spoke to High Country bank and they setup a free temporary savings account for the money to be transferred into. I really like High Country Bank!!!

Excellent bank! Every time I do any business with High Country Bank, they go the extra mile and go "head and shoulders" above the other banks in this town. No wonder they are the biggest and most successful bank around. Great service and attention to detail!

I've had nothing but excellent, friendly service since the day I made my first deposit. Two years later and I'm still a satisfied customer. Best bank in the Arkansas Valley, hands down.

DON'T BANK HERE! They illegally hold your money from you just to make you call them. You CANNOT put a hold on a customer's account and then tell them "its federal regulation sir" to put a hold on a account just to get a new mailing address on a profile. Liers and criminals work for this company. This will catch up with HIGH COUNTRY BANK eventually.

They have a problem of employees stealing from them. Try another bank in town

I have no idea why the low rating so I decided to post myself. I have been banking here for 4 years and every single employee I have ever come in contact with has been super friendly, super helpful. My favorite place I've ever banked with!

Can't recommend, avoid dealing with Nicole in the lending department, pretty incompetent and a pain to get a hold of, between phone or email tag would take 2-3 days before you could actually talk to her. They sold the mortgage to PHH mortgage which is a horrible company to work with, would not have gone through this bank had I known that prior.

I bank here, not out of choice, but of convenience as my whole family banks here and has since they were Salida Building & Loan. Their service is okay, the few people they seem to keep. (They once hired a guy that physically fought me in my own business.) But good luck finding basic services for everyday people, like a notary, for example.

This is a great small town bank my family has done business here for over 40 years! If you want a bank that will know your name and knows how to treat there customers this is your bank! Larry and his staff are great!
