I’ll give them a 3 because they had the best auto rates on island and makes loans fairly easy process. Everything else is lacking. Had bank remove money from my account without even telling me. Every time I come in to banks there’s a reason why I can get something done

Have 700 credit score, submitted my application online, I asked if they could do a soft pull, of course they aren't going to be helpful. Asked my consent to pull the hard report. Two days later some granny calls me back, and drones on for five minutes straight, how because I got 7 inquires on my credit report, it's worthless, that I have no credit. "You understand that? You have no credit score right now". It's so frustrating that institutions act like a lot of inquiries is equal to not having a credit score. If that were true, then the number of inquiries would be weighted as 50 percent of the score, not 10 percent. Just making up their own rules! Plus its super easy to rack up inquiries when they give them out like tic-tacs. I went to one main bank originally, and they did a hard pull for a personal loan, then i changed my mind and asked them if i could just change it to a car loan. AND THEY PULLED IT AGAIN!. So thanks granny for complaining to me about my credit, and giving me now EIGHTH inquiry. Absolute garbage customer support results in the heap tons of inquiries in the first place, and then the absolute garbage customer support uses those inquires they caused to refuse service! None of these crazy people should have a job! especially not after 50.

This credit union is great! Friendly and efficient, Kristine helped me the whole way on getting an auto loan. She was so efficient and proactive that the whole process while emailing or in person setup was smooth! Anabel was also friendly and great at setting up a new savings account. I would definitely recommend Hawaii FCU to anyone! They also have parking which is a must for Hawaii. 🤙🏾

Very Bad experience. Poor communication especially the Loan Department after I give what they need they just give my False Hope for nothing. It's such I waste of TIME! Person didn't explain nothing for Co-signing part that need to be a member to co-sign nothing untill We got there. Such a BIG waste of Time for Nothing!

The staff are always friendly and provide wonderful customer service. The hours and locations are convenient and they try to be very accommodating to their members. They offer many of the services that banks do with good interest rates on loans. They have been extremely helpful to me.

This bank has the worst fraud department. I went into a branch to alert them my card was being used and it wasn’t lost or stolen. They gave me a number that doesn’t work and told me that’s the only way to file a claim. They claim to have no other way to file, however simply getting me a new card does not solve my problem without the investigation. Worst bank I’ve ever had. Absolutely no real protection. I will keep updates on their practices.

I dipute a late fee in 2021 and they denied that . Today I dispute again and the system don’t let me make a dispute again because in the bank the case is still open . The manager is the worst,

When I tried to do personal loan estavan said I had to pay my overdraft and I paid it and to see if I get approve for my personal loan then he said I need a co sign for that then they didn’t approve and gave me options DONT RECOMMENDED A PERSONAL LOAN WITH THEM!!!!

-Came here once to deposit cash into my account but because the only ID I had on me was expired, they said they couldn't deposit the cash. -Came here once with my husband to deposit a check written out to the both of us and they said unless the account has both names on it, they cant deposit it into my account eventhough my husband was with me and asked for it to be deposited in my account. -Slowest customer service and nothing actually gets done here.

Speaking of the credit union on Moku O Keawe. Kailua Kona HFC. This bank will cash a check without asking for proper identification. One of their customers took my daughters paycheck and HFC Kona branch cashed it for their customer. They were of no help to recover the monies. Manager was rude and said that they could do nothing for my daughter because she did not have an account at this bank. The state of Hawaii financial division helped my daughter out so a police report could be filed. Shame on this bank manager. She covered up a dishonorable action from herself and her employee that cashed the check. And allowed her customer to steal. Customer was Janice DeFrenchie.
