Hapo Community Credit Union Gage Blvd, Richland

I went to the Clearwater location to use the walk up ATM. I inserted my Wells Fargo Card to withdraw $40 fast cash. Right away the machines touch screen was not responding properly to my touches. It started hesitating for several seconds before beeping and responding to the next step. I finally made it to the fast cash button and it wouldn't beep. I kept touching over and over again with no result so I pressed the cancel button on the keypad. The transaction cancelled and then kept my card and didnt return it. There was no reason for keeping my card. I have plenty of cash in my Wells Fargo account and I have great credit and no issues that warranted keeping the card. I felt like I had been robbed because I had to come home and report the loss of my card to my bank and order a new one. This has created a huge inconvenience because I pay my Bill's on autopay using that card number. The bank cancelled the card number and is issuing a new one which means I have to go online to all my creditors and change the info. Thanks Hapo for nothing.

Filed a fraud claim 30 days ago, have gotten 4 different stories on the status of this claim, none of which involve fixing the fraud. Worst customer service ever. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Their slogan of "We've got your back" is an absolute lie.

This is my favorite HAPO location. I love how the staff here is so friendly and helpful. It is also somewhat close to my house. Besides the location, I have been doing business with HAPO more than a year now and I have been enjoying it. They help with your finances and needs to the best they can. I very strongly recommend HAPO in case you need a loan or simply anything.

The people at the local branch have always been friendly and helpful, which is why it's a shame that Hapo recently made the disastrous mistake of centralizing operations, leaving the local branches powerless in some areas. As a result of the "centralized operations," I had money disappear for close to two weeks while it was "in transit" to where I wanted it to go. The central office is cold and out of touch with the needs of the members, so this once ideal credit union is feeling a lot more like a bank.

ATM machines are available at the drive up and outside of the front door.
