HORRIBLE BANK!!!!!!!Can't get a debit card when yours is lost or stolen. Will not print you a new debit card at the bank and it gets shipped to you weeks later from Tennessee for some reason leaving you with out a card. They'll give you an ATM card that you can only get cash with and it only good for 14 days. Then when you finally get your card you have to wait for pin to get mailed days later. To talk to a representative your literally on the phone for an hour only to find out they don'tknow anythingabout what theirdoing or how to help with the problem. Soon as I get back from a work trip to from California and my direct deposit will be complete. I'm leaving Hancock for good. Worst bank ever!!!!!!!
I'm very sorry to hear about your recent experience and can understand your frustration. We aim to provide five-star service with each interaction and appears we fell short this time.

We never had problems with MidSouth, but now with HW, it has been a problem from the first day it officially switched over! We didn't have access to our account for an amount of time when it was switching over, then when we were able to get back online, we had an overdraft charge that was already posted. It didn't show that we were negative/overdrawn on any transaction before the overdraft charge. In fact, we still had a positive balance after the overdraft fee was taken out. This doesn't make sense to me!! I called about it and was told that I had to go into a bank to have this looked at. Also, not sure why I needed to go in for this, but I did. At first I was told it was for the transaction showing up right before the fee. I told her when I clicked on any of the previous transactions (this is another thing with HW's online banking that I do not like--online it only shows the credit or debit transaction amounts without also showing the ending balance beside each transaction--MidSouth showed both plain and simple on one page), it shows that we had a positive balance after each posted. She had another lady that came to help her find out why we had an overdraft fee and charged $36 for it. That's when I was told that the fee was for a transaction for when we ate out that past Sat. and the transaction for it was still "pending" (although the first lady and I couldn't tell which transaction it was suppose to be for). I still wasn't really happy about the $36 fee and that it still didn't make complete sense to me, but what can I do?! Well, they said that I could opt out of this "service" and HW would not pay for a purchase on our behalf if we didn't have enough money to cover it, which means we would not get any more overdraft charges because we can't overdraw our account any longer. She said it would decline the payment and I would have to have a different form of payment if we didn't have enough in our bank to cover the purchase. I told her that was good with me because we have other forms of payment if needed to keep from wasting our money and paying them $36 per overdraft fee. I opted out that day!! That was last month, and now this month, we just got 6 overdraft charges (total amount of $216) on our account, even though we opted out!!! This is ridiculous and the exact reason I opted out after the first overdraft charge!! We are definitely changing banks ASAP if not refunded for these fees that we should have never been allowed to get, if we in fact didn't have the money to cover the purchases at the time. Our card should have declined instead, as I was told would happen to prevent this from happening!!
