WORST company to owe money to. I called for an entire month trying to get in touch with a representative to pay my mortgage after having my payment kicked back from the website TWICE!!! After several emails with a "loan servicing supervisor" I was actually able to get through the infinite loop in the automated system and reach a real person to take my payment. The website is outdated and not user friendly. IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD FOR YOUR COMPANY TO TAKE MY MONEY!!!!

I refinanced my mortgage in October 2020. The service provider settled my loan with Stearns. The dealings with Stearns every since has been a nightmare. There is a problem every month with insurance. My agent has sent them the documents 3 times now (over 3 months) and they have yet to get it right. Now they have charged me for an insurance gap from 10/01/2020 to 11/15/2020 and increased my monthly payment by $234.00. I can't tell you who to choose but be fore-warned, this company is terrible!!!! If you need to speak to an actual person, forget about it!!!!!!!

Sometime I receipted the phone calls from this company, but just the robot callings. I called back later many times, and I think you know what next. Robot answers, my SSA is not in this company system, it's mean "They sold my loan to another company". Pay by online, many times I tried to complain about "can not pay by online", nobody from this company wants to help me fix their system. Last month, I sent a personal check for my monthly payment by mail at post office with receipt. My money still there, did I sent it to wrong address? I can not "pay by online" and now I can not "pay by mail". What can I do now for my monthly payment? Terrible company, Stearns Lending.

Doug Kuhns was absolutely first class in his management of my loan application and working with his team. My application was very complicated and had not been understood by perhaps a dozen originators in the last two years. My taxes and income are not your standard 1040/W2 and nobody got it up until I got introduced to Doug and Stearns Lending. I can't believe this company has a 4.7 review. We recent has a deal fell out with Stearns last minutes. The Loan Officer as Patriot Lending Blame Stearn Under Writing and vice versa. Very unprofessional. Their pre approval letter is a joke because obviously they could not qualify the buyer during escrow and they wait until last minutes to do it. as the result.buyer lost the Earnest Money and the lender refused to take the responsibility for it.
