GreenState Credit Union 6th Ave, Grinnell

Grinnell 6th Avenue Green State Credit Union has the best customer care, service I have ever experienced! They have helped rebuild my credit and best bank/credit union! They are always very kind and helpful! I highly recommend them 👌!!!

Green State has been a pleasure to work with for all of my banking needs. Mortgage did a great job with the purchase of my first home. And I also had a great experience with my auto loan and other personal banking needs. Brad, Erin and everyone else in Grinnell have been great to work with.

Opened checking/savings accounts recently. They made no disclosure in writing or verbally about ATM limits. My card was declined at a casino on vacation (there was plenty of money). I had to use my debit card for a cash advance (let me reiterate, there was plenty of money to withdraw). That made the fee $50 instead of $5. When I asked them for a credit due to their failure to disclose the ATM regulations they simply said "no". Basically they hold your money hostage, it was so embarrassing.

1st you approve me for a no money down car loan in June when the payments on the car are gonna be $500.00 a month. Then when I want to purchase it for a cheaper Price and lower monthly payment, Then you turn around demand a $5500.00 Downpayment or else a denial, you guys are pathetic. Why did you even approve me the1st Time? Anyway it's all over but the shouting, I got approved by my own bank with way better terms than a $5500.00 down payment .

Hands down great company! Sat down with a rep within seconds of coming into the company to apply for a car loan. They got me approved even though I didn’t have much credit coming out of the military. Great company and highly recommended!!!!

I can't say enough about the awesome experience that the Grinnell GreenState CC Staff provides me and my family as customers. Starting with Brad and Carl (two exceptional professionals), the staff is always available, always friendly and always goes the extra mile to help with any request or problem. I make it a point to stop in the office whenever possible to do my business... everyone knows me by name and it is always an enjoyable almost fun experience. I have been a member with Greenstate for a few years now. All services have been great, very friendly people when I have been in to handle business. Not a very good experience trying to get a mortgage though. Called with no answer, left a message to return my call, never got any call back. I had a text message reply and even after replying to that, I got nothing back. Finally I went online to apply, and the return call I got was garbage. Had to start jumping through hoops before the jumping through hoops for a mortgage actually begins. I have since explored further options and found great rates elsewhere. I will continue to use their services for my checking and savings accounts, but they lost me as a loan borrower.

I’ve had excellent service from the Grinnell branch! They’ve helped consolidate my debt and raise my credit score. 100% recommend them! Always friendly and professional service.

I bought my first house through them, Erin is a rockstar, and has done wonders with my mortgage. Also, more than helpful with setting up my IRAs and retirement accounts ( as I've never had any before). Wonderful to work with and zero problems with any deposits or transactions!

Friendly, helpful, post transactions in a more timely manner than they used to. Eliminated debit transaction limits before fee charged. Received good %rate on my car loan and was a pretty pain free transaction.
