GreatFlorida Insurance - Joe Altenburg Capital Cir, Tallahassee

I was referred to Great Florida Insurance/Joe during a home purchase. I sold my home in March of 2022 and since then I have been trying to cancel the homeowner's insurance policy. After several months of not hearing anything back, I called the insurance company only to be told that the documents were never filed. The insurance company blamed the agency and the agency pointed the finger at the insurance company. I really didn't care whose fault it was, just as long as the paperwork gets filed. About a week later, I called GreatFlorida and Kari told me all the paperwork was processed and once again stated it was the insurance company that dropped the ball. It's now been two weeks and I have yet to hear anything, so I decided to call the insurance company. A customer representative stated the agent filled out erroneous information as well as leaving out vital information in order to cancel the policy. I wasn't surprised, as during the initial cancelation process, GreatFlorida provided an incorrect address for where the property was insured. Had I not corrected the mistake, this likely would have caused a longer delay. Now finally, nearly four months after my home sale, I have received the appropriate forms to cancel the policy, without the help of GreatFlorida. This has been one of the most difficult processes ever and I hope I never have to deal with this business again.

I have had insurance coverage with a particular company for over 25 years, and had been told the rates I was paying were as good as it gets. Joe came highly recommended by a good friend, and wow was he on point!! His response time was extremely quick, he was very professional, and quite knowledgeable of his craft. He made me feel comfortable and he did not exude one bit of that "salesmany" attitude that you get from some other companies. Oh, and did I mention he found an auto policy for me and my boys, with the SAME coverage, and WAAAAAAY cheaper!!! My only regret is that I didn't know about his company sooner!!

After getting to know Joe at Great Florida, my wife and I asked him to help us with our car insurance. Their service is excellent and he was able to save us significantly compared to our previous Allstate policy without sacrificing our coverage. Joe really goes the extra mile , he was able to immeadiatly update my policy to reflect changes necessary due to a refinance on my car while I was on the road and unable to access the documents via my smartphone .. On top of all that he shopped around for me and cut my monthly rate by more than 30% !!!!!!. Wonderful person to deal with , highly recommended....
