Golden 1 Credit Union Main St, Susanville

We opened a account here as they are open Saturdays. Saturday are irrelevant when two years after a fake virus Golden 1 in our town decides to all of a sudden attempt to enforce mask mandates on customers. Didn’t bode well in a freedom loving community. This bank won’t stay open very long. Lol they closed their doors to the public soon after mandate due to the unwelcome but expected response. F..k you golden/tarnished 2 Closed all our accounts Whoopie!!!

All the people that I have talked to at golden 1 about my deceased farthers account were all very nice thnk you Barbara and allycha..

I was with Golden 1 Credit Union for 17 years, moved out of state and had services with them. They charged service charge and I didnt realize it, they sent me to collections over $14 and reported me to Chex service...they would not help me in any way. They would not let me put any money in my account to clear up.

Golden 1 people have always been very helpful to me in all my banking experiences. I much prefer going to this down home bank then those other uppity banks!

Been banking there since 1995...great atmosphere..everyone there is knowledgeable...nice and friendly...outstanding credit union

This place is absolutely terrible. Go to Wells Fargo. It's worth having to drive to Chico or Reno just to not have to deal with this joke of a "bank"

Awful financial institution. Their member wrote me a check that bounced, causing me to incur a returned check charge from my own bank. I wanted to present the check again, but Golden 1 refused to verify funds in their member's account, leaving me no choice but to risk further penalties by presenting the check again. My bank informs me that there is no regulation preventing Golden 1 from verifying funds, it's simply their policy. The purpose of this policy truly confounds the mind, since obviously if I present the check, I'm ultimately going to find out if funds were available or not. To date, I've now presented the check twice, and been penalized twice. Haven't been paid, and Golden 1 is obviously no help. Avoid these guys like the plague.

not so nice bank towards Hispanics teller got very irritated at me saying first to please wait since her computer was taking so long and I asked if we needed the check number but she said to wait till she gets her computer going but then says it's taking too long that I have to decide faster at what I was to do with the same check and that to pull it if we needed the check number... Very rude and irritated towards me but then I said I needed money I had to get back in line to get the money in needed she help to the white person and even asked them to wait for she had to get her money.... In America we are taught in school that we all are equal and that are the same it doesn't matter your skin color or gender or religion.. but here in susanville it dose matter your privileged if your skin is white my wife was. Treated like wow she said but I was treated like poop. Shame on golden 1 credit union bank I think I'm gonna try bank of America. And see how I'm treated...

Don’t understand why you’re closed on July 5th for the 4th of July really stupid
