Golden 1 Credit Union California Ave, Bakersfield

It’s been a month now and I still have not gotten a reply back on my auto refinance application after the lady there had already ran my credit! Save yourself the hassle find another credit union this one seems to be unprofessional. *UPDATE* I can’t reply to company under this comment. For those reading this I had already emailed them back and till this day still no reply back ! I went somewhere else I’m not wasting my time on a credit union who doesn’t care about it’s customers. I highly recommend Safe1

I started banking with Golden 1 Credit Union in 1987. They have been wonderful working with. My checks have been automatically deposited from employment smoothly through retirement. Bakersfield branch has had several managers during this time, however, any problem or situation I have brought to their attention has always been mutually satisfied. I would just like to applaud the group in their now. Most tellers recognize me when I walk in. I am acquainted with the manager and it is an exceptional bunch of wonderful people who are working in the Bakersfield office. I am certain many will agree.

Good credit union, but the office is just kind of disappointing—dated and smelly.

I have been with this credit union for more than ten years and it appears that the staff changes every month. There’s a lot of new employees that don’t know a pencil from a pen. Gabby the previous Manager was always nice, personable, and knew what she was doing. I’m not sure what’s going on with this place, but it’s going down hill in Bakersfield.

The wait was too long. There's 4 tellers behind the glass only 2 working. When I was next in line no one called me to their window. I had to wait even longer. When I got the window I could tell the teller was new however she never said anything to me. I spoke and she still did not speak. The tellers here are usually very nice and usually make you forget you were waiting. Greet every customer!

Can't enroll. They blame it on their upgrade. It's been a month. I still can't enroll. Took forever to get my account number so I could even make a payment. I've had to call several times and no success. Each time is a long wait. So I tried email and that didn't help. try to make a payment online and now it doesn't recognize my account number. going on my second payment and I can't get any help! so frustrating!

It’s impossible for me to get a hold on a representative for assistance. It’s ridiculous how the automated system takes you to the same questions over and over again. Very poor service 😠.

Love this Bank wish they had another location in town but you can use 7-11 ATM for free. Good employees very friendly. Been here 5 years

I've had nothing but good experiences. I've had multiple loans and they have all gone smoothly. My car loan had the lowest APR the dealer ever saw. Security has been awesome. I got hacked and G1 not only called me to see if I was buying plane tickets to S. Africa, they got my account reimbursed and oredered new cards in less than a week. Mobile banking with G1 is a breeze.
