German American Bank N Dixie Hwy, Elizabethtown

Since German American took over Citizens Union Bank , I no longer get my direct deposit placed into my account on Thursday. I have spoken to a representative over the phone and I haven’t spoken to any of the previous representatives I used to speak with at Citizens Union Bank. Apparently Abound, Chime and other banks do allow for the direct deposit to hit on Thursday. CUB was a very very good bank with excellent customer service.

When you call support you get forwarded to Sarai. Talked to her twice and she is the rudest person. At first wouldn't give me her name. Then placed me on hold forever hoping I would hang up. Then said her manager wasn't in. She Doesn't know her own system so talks down to you when something is wrong telling me it was my fault. Walked into another branch and they fixed the issue both times which was accounts needed to be connected. Will be leaving and not bringing over other business accounts. Unfortunately banks don't care about customers when their employees should be fired so just a message to everyone before banking here. Not saying she should he fired but doesn't have the temperament or knowledge to answer calls. Very rude.

I have been with CUB bank for two years and have never had a problem! They are always so friendly and eager to help in person and on the phone. They are the best bank I have ever had! I would highly recommend.

We had some rough times at first but they are easy to get along with. Doesn't feel like a big impersonal u go in.

I was with CUB for a few years. And they were great. It’s been German American for less than 2 weeks. I have already been notified of fraudulent activity and my card is blocked. I have to get a new card. This never happened when it was CUB. I am very unhappy with German American bank and this transition. I guess I will be getting a new bank.

I closed my account and they reopened it without talking to me because a deposit came through that I was unaware of. Now they're saying I owe over $200 in fees because of planet fitness attempts at member fees. I just spoke with the manager and told her that I would be writing some reviews and reporting this and she said she didn't care and it didn't matter because they were switching to another bank in March. Wow 😳 I was also being charged daily fees although they refuse to answer the phone I've called and called and no one answers if you don't believe me feel free and try.ill post a photo. You have to be crazy to start an account here.

Love this bank! Staff is friendly and knows you by name. Benefits of a BIG bank with a small town feel.
