    Poor communication and unnecessary delays! When you are told they can process things within one month, don't believe it! The first time I used Gateway was a real learning experience about how much documentation is necessary - so when I wanted to refinance I decided that going back through Gateway would simplify the process. For example, since I already have my home insurance paid through the escrow account by Gateway, Gateway should already know who my insurer is, right? But at the last minute they said they couldn't verify it, and this cost additional days of delays. Overall I do recommend Gateway, but expect it to take closer to two months, and expect to be exasperated by the whole experience.

    I had a great experience with Gateway. Sarah did a great job processing my refinance in approximately 10 days. I would definitely recommend them to my friends or family.

    I can't say enough good things about this company and the way they run the ship here in frisco. the people I worked with are just exceptional in every way! Mike and Richard Ciezinski And kristy Robinson Are wonderful and excellent about getting back to you in a reasonable timeframe. Very professional and treet you like family. I have and will continue pitching out the good word for this crew!

    We went with Gateway, which was pretty differcult and time consuming because instead of providing a list of what they will need, they call you numberous times over weeks to requeat this and that. We finalized the loan and 8 and half months later, after our insurance company sent 6, yes six copies of our insurance confirmation and several discussions, they said they never got confirmation of our insurance and charged us $4,600 from our checking account. You would think I'd get an apology, but Nope. And was told they will put our money back when they can.

    Horrible is the only way that I can describe our experience with this company. We had decided to go with Quicken Loans, and the loan officer from Gateway Mortgage said whatever Quicken Loans was offering they could knock them out of the water with their offer, so we went with Gateway, but, instead of keeping their promise to do the better deal, they had me removed my husband's name from one of our accounts where he was an authorized user, to make his credit score go up much higher than it was, had us pay the balance on one of our accounts down, and, I was told not to make the upcoming payment on our upcoming mortgage payment because we would be closing the first week of December, and we did not need to make the payment instead of this happening, they caused my husband's credit score to drop so low they were not able to do the loan and close the first week of December, instead the week we were looking to close she calls and tells me they were not going to be able to help us, because in doing what they asked of us, they, were not going to be able to close the deal, because of his credit score dropping. So we lost the re-finance rate they had promised, she had me add my husband's name back on the account, but the damage was already done, therefore they were not able to do the deal which was promised. Therefore someone at that company does not, in my opinion know their job. So now we are stuck waiting for my husband's credit to rate again and hopefully go back up to where it needs to be before we can do a re-finance. Quicken Loans advised me that what they were telling us was not the truth and tried to get us to come back with them, I wish we had listened. So people BEWARE!!
