As a first time home buyer, I was completely clueless. I didn't even know where to start. I was referred to John at Gallery Mortgage and was told he would be able to help me though the process. Not only did John and his entire team hold my hand from day one but they also exhibited amazing customer service. Each day I would reach out to them with a question or concern about something I didn't understand get almost instantaneous response with a clear cut answer and direction on what to do next. I wrote about John La Bella at Gallery Mortgage in Bloomington about five months ago. Unfortunately, I inadvertently deleted that review. That's okay though. This is a follow-up. He exceeded the expectations I wrote about In January 2021. I was referred to John La Bella by a local friend to help a friend in need in northern IN. She was in a difficult situation, being a single mom with a tight budget, a tight lending market and an extremely competitive housing industry. I had no idea how to help her as I live in Monroe County nearly 5 hours away. A realtor friend of mine, Zak Szymanski, suggested I refer my friend to John La Bella. Even though he is 5 hours away from her, and conceivably had nothing to gain from assisting her, he willingly jumped in without hesitation. I am so happy to report that, though the going got tough at times, my friend moved into her first new home 10 days ago. John helped her from the get-go; he was patient, knowledgeable, resourceful and exceptionally perseverant. He went the extra mile with every twist and turn in the lending process. My young friend was over-whelmed at times but John's calm demeanor and reassurance helped her go the distance when the going got exceptionally (and unusually) rough due to the sellers' non-disclosure. She did end up securing her loan through John with Gallery Mortgage. I cannot say enough about the selfless attention John gave to my friend. Thank you to John and his team for their help. John LaBella and his team ROCK!!! I started out with another lender who did not listen to me and tried very hard to talk me into a loan product I did not want. I was only a week away from closing but called John anyway to see if I could move my file to him this late in the game. I can not say enough great things about Gallery Mortgage! We were originally going through Ruoff and they were unable to help us but Gallery Mortgage was able to help us beyond what we expected and and get us our dream home.
