Four Star Pawn and Loan Brook Rd, Richmond

I read some negative reviews before coming, but decided I’d see what they had here anyway. The man behind the counter clearly wanted nothing to do with helping me as I browsed, and when I asked to test a Taylor acoustic guitar they had (poorly) displayed behind the counter, he let me know that they “don’t pull it out for people unless they’re going to buy it”. I don’t know about most folks, but I don’t personally buy a lot of used items before I’m sure they’re in good working order. More than likely, he was really wondering whether I *could* buy it. For the record (in case he happens to see this or care), I own and play multiple nicer guitars than the one I saw in there, and although I could’ve afforded it, I don’t think I’d want to buy from someone who was so quick to make judgments or so unwilling to help a potential customer out.

This place will rip you off, especially with jewelry.

I had pawned my ring during a difficult time. After 5 months when I returned the ring was fortunately still there. The guys gave me a great deal to retrieve my property. Very fair and honest. Thanks!!!

Best place to pawn! If you can believe there are still businesses in this country that have integrity... that are friendly, fair and considerate, that really care about the customers, this is one of those places.

I Gave them a try👎, I agree with some reviews they are Racist and "NASTY". Save your time, money and effort and go somewhere else. Some people may be in a bad situation and visit pawn shops as a last resort, and dont deserve to be treated like $*!@. Not understanding how they are still in business they way they treat people. I'm sure Harvey Weinstein treated woman better than how I was talked to by the Heavy set dude.

I went to pawn my ring and it was a horrible experience. The so called lady gave me a hassle about everything until she found a way to refuse me. There was a crack in my i.d. and thats why she turned me away. Its okay tho ill never return i went to the pawn shop on brook road where the service was excellent.

Had a 18k gold watch and they would not even look at it. I went to broad st and got a 200 loan in 10 mins. This place has to b going broke.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. It was like he didn't want my business.
