My husband and I are first time home buyers and I truly believe without the help of the team at Fountain Mortgage, we may not have been successful in finding our home during such a challenging sellers market! Katie was always available to answer all of our questions, and helped us from filling out the application to after we found our home and needed some help figuring out how to make payments online. They are a great team that works together to ensure their customers are happy! We will be sure to use Fountain Mortgage again in the future!

Everything went well until the day we were supposed to close. The underwriters continually asked for stuff at the end of the week and by the end of all we don’t have a house and have to find somewhere else to live quickly. It sucked to have things be treated like they were a sure thing until the very end. Could never get a straight answer. Disappointed that we’re stranded trying to find a Plan B last minute

I am very grateful for the assistance of Matt and Joy throughout my home buying experience. Looking for a local lender in the KC area? Look no further! The good folks at Fountain Mortgage took great care of my family and I. Very supportive and responsive to our needs and the entire process from start to finish.

I have had nothing but issues with this firm from day one. They issued me a preapproval letter in February. With this letter I went out and put an offer in on a home. Due to some personal paperwork issues that were unforeseen we had to make a pivot once the offer was accepted. They recommended an alternative Mortage firm till those issues could be addressed. this firm was willing to help but it added over 800$ a month to the mortage. I knew that the payment was doable so i signed on knowing that the issues should be resolved shortly and that the need for the house was imminent. Now five months later i submit all the missing documents and inform Ms. Waters. She says they will be submitted to underwriting for review. Two weeks pass and i hear nothing, so I reach out again. It takes her over a day to respond and inform me that they have declined the income. When I reach out to address this with her, she was very short and did not want to explain the reason other than there was a decline in income. When asked what that means she said that the regulations wouldn't allow for a decline in income of the amount. As I remember back when this all started, I informed this company that due to the family reasons we were buying this house I had taken three months off in 2021 tax year. They told me that this would not be an issue. NOW IT IS. I was lied to. I was taken advantage of. However, the worst part was her attitude. If there was a negative rating this company would have earned it. to make matters worse I review all of the reviews and they seemed to be a company wanting and willing to help first time home buyers. I guess only the ones that they want to help. This company is a fraud and manipulative. The fact that you can hardly find a bad review on google would point to them trying to maintain an image but blocking the negative interactions. I can't be the only one with a negative interaction. They took advantage of someone who was in a family crisis (lost home in a fire, needing a place to live and bring 84-year-old uncle to live with) and then blew them off. They were rude disrespectful and unwilling to find other ways to help after they pointed me in a direction that saddled me with an inflated mortage. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER!

We now have closed two loans with Katie within a 30 day timeframe. First investment property and our primary home. Katie went above and beyond to get both deals closed on time. There were many hurdles at the end but Katie really took care of us. Will be using for future transactions. Thank you Katie!

Mr. David Wile of Fountain Mortgage was a huge help in getting me the best VA refinance rate available at the time. He was kind and courteous and extremely responsive to any and all questions I had. Not only did Mr. Wile secure the best rate, but the fees associated with Fountain Mortgage were lower than four other competitors I researched. To top off the lowest rate and lowest fees, Fountain Mortgage enabled closing in about 30 days. Other competitors I researched were promoting a 45-day close. All paperwork, except final signing, was done online and the process was very easy. Due to the pandemic, final signing was done outside with masks in a safe environment. In sum, I put my trust in Fountain Mortgage (David Wile) and they came through. I would certainly use them again if they continue their competitiveness.

We had a great experience getting our VA Loan refinanced to a VA IRRRL at Fountain Mortgage. We got 5 quotes and Fountain Mortgage was the best out of 5. The process was easy and our Loan Officer Matt Meeds was on top of things. He was patient in answering all my questions. He kept us updated and informed. We signed our closing documents 24 business days from date of application. Not counting Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day holidays in between. That is amazing especially considering the number of people trying to refinance their mortgage loan because of the low interest rates right now.
