    I called to set up an appointment for a test drive on Saturday, but changed my mind to do it Thursday. Funny thing is my salesperson Dorothy was looking out for me and let me know that another person was looking to test drive the same vehicle I had my eyes on. Long story short, it was love at first drive! Thank you all especially Dorothy Lamar for your help, patience and conversation.

    Called to reserve a car. They denied the request of a 10 day hold so I said okay will I take the 3 day reservation with the $500 deposit. Was told by David this wouldn’t be necessary because he wouldn’t let the car be sold until I spoke to him again as he insisted he could get me a better deal with their finance department than Capital One so long as I completed the application (within 24 hours). He never called so I called and left message with the manager. He then texts me Instead of returning my call that someone else sold the car. Manager is rude and sales people aren’t on one accord.If you’re black, take your money elsewhere and save the headache and the unnecessary credit pull for them to “get you a better deal”. I understand things happen, but the manner in which this was conducted was highly unprofessional. Edit: Since the manager wants to respond and LIE. I had the correct deposit that was agreed upon in the initial interaction with my sales rep. After being told that a 10 day hold wasn’t possible I got my funds together for the deposit I discussed with the sales rep. Sales rep encouraged me to submit a credit application for a “better deal” in the meantime after I shared the numbers Capital One gave me. You all called me back AFTER I left this review saying you wanted to “stop the prior sale” and honor mine only to tack on ridiculous fees and force me to purchase a $4000 warranty. The sale didn’t proceed because I refused to purchase the warranty along with pricey paint protection I didn’t ask for. I had the deposit for the initial deal set in place with Capital One. You were very nasty about the process to begin with, the sales rep wasn’t muting when he asked you questions and I heard your exact words and tone when conversing about the deal. You all didn’t get me approved for anything, my dealing was set in stone with Capital One Prior to and the Capital One Specialist I spoke with advised me to take my business elsewhere because of how you conducted business. It’s nothing further to discuss with someone who didn’t seem resolution driven to begin with. This post is my feedback.

    Dave in sales was extremely sweet and kind! If you are looking to buy a Mazda go see Dave! Grant in finance was terrible. If you can avoid him I would do so. He was extremely rude and condescending. He also tried to guilt my husband into purchasing extra things by portraying me as helpless and dumb. I loved the experience of buying my first new car until I met Grant.

    Our experience at Five Star of Macon was wonderful! Antonio Davis was our salesman and he was excellent. He wasn't pushy, he gave us plenty of time to make a decision, he was very knowledgeable regarding all the vehicles and he worked hard to ensure that we were getting the best deal. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a car that my mother has always wanted and Antonio made that possible. Mr. Antonio, Devin and Bret really made us feel like family. And for that we are forever grateful and appreciative!

    I think you can really see people’s service orientation and values in how they treat people when there is no chance for repeat business. Our vehicle broke down unexpectedly 900 miles from home. From the start Five Star Mazda treated us like life long customers and helped me feel immediately comfortable with an unplanned situation. Due to a parts issue it turned into a long relationship but they always stayed in touch with us and advocated on our behalf when a little extra push helped move up the delivery date on our needed part. Rich Cook and his team are absolutely world class in their service and communication.

    I just bought a used car from them and had a great experience. I live 3 hours away in South Carolina and they were very friendly and helpful in helping me buy the car. Cathleen was great and sent me videos of the car prior to me traveling down. The whole process was easy and I would travel 3 hours again to buy a car from them.

    Excellent service! Was my first time buying a car, so you can imagine it was daunting for me at first. But Ms. Dorothy, my sales woman, made the process enjoyable and easy. I never felt pressured to do anything like I was on other car lots during my journey. They worked with my budget, and even redid some things after I changed my mind to get me EXACTLY what I wanted. Even the financing department was quick and simple. If Ms. Dorothy is available, find her IMMEDIATELY to help you in buying a car. You won't be disappointed I promise. If not, there are still plenty of excellent salesman throughout the dealership. Will definitely be my first choice when shopping for my next car!

    Rich was such a great help, and all of the staff was so welcoming and pleasant. I had to bring my vehicle in on short notice in the morning, as I had to drive back up to MD that afternoon. Rich gave me a run down of what problems they encountered, and list options to go about resolving it. I truly appreciate the transparency and status updates I was given throughout the entire process. I wish this dealership was near my own home, but its great to know I have a dealership I can trust nearby when I travel back down. Thank you so much!

    I can honestly say that the service department is top notch. I called my sales person Dorothy because my battery was dead and my car was not even a year old. She made me an appointment with service dept for the following workday. The service mgr. Rich checked the car out and explained the problem which was due to a recall on the lift gate. I'm all taken care of and as always happy with these folks at Mazda in Macon georgia.

    This was the best car buying experience we have ever had! Ms. Dorothy took the time to explain all of the safety features to us since she knew that was our main concern. We sincerely appreciated the thorough explanation of the car and how we never felt any pressure at all. We had already received an incredible offer via the internet from Dorothy so we were very happy with the price. I appreciated the fact that once we got to financing to sign the papers, there was no "upsell" and the finance manager for not try to talk us into anything additional. I would highly recommend this dealership!!

    They make the process of buying a car enjoyable. Staff was helpful and friendly not to mention very knowledgeable about what they are selling. Would definitely do business with them again.     I had an amazing experience with Justin my salesman and Mr Whitehead the manager. I had no intention on getting a new car I was just there to get my oil change and after a casual conversation with Mr. Whitehead as I waited everything just fell into place. I was informed of the great rebates at this time and the new lifetime warranty available on a new vehicle. It was no pressure to do anything I didn't want to do it all went so smoothly with such excellent customer service that I rolled out of their with a new vehicle. I have always had great experience their and would highly recommend them.

    My experience at five star was excellent. My wait time for my car service was not long at all. The costumer service there was excellent. I also want to thank Chris Brown for being an excellent salesman and his customer service was outstanding. He worked with my difficult self with no problem.     Ask for Dorothy!!!! Let me tell you why. Over four years ago, I purchased a brand new 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with the help and guidance from Dorothy. It’s 2020, and we are still in contact! I reached out to Dorothy to ask for her guidance with issues I’m having with my current car. (The ONLY reason I did not purchase from Dorothy a second time was because my current car was not on a Five Star lot and I totaled my Mazda. I STILL regret not purchasing another Mazda!!!) She remembered me as if I spoke to her last week! She offered me the greatest advice and wisdom for my current situation. Dorothy is so wise, helpful, and honest. I promise you she will find the perfect car for you! She’s the real deal! And after I’m through with the mess with my current car...I’ll be seeing Dorothy to get me a new ride!!

    From the sales perspective in buying a new car the entire experience was satisfying, calm and comfortable. There was NO high pressure sales techniques for anything by anyone. I said what I wanted to buy that was in stock, they brought each of the 2 vehicles to the front of the building, meaning I didn't have to walk around the lot. I picked the 1 I wanted to test drive and the sales person, my wife and I boarded the vehicle. I informed the salesperson that I would test drive it according to how I normally drive. At the satisfying end of the test drive, I stated I would purchase the car. The only comment from the salesperson was that it was the most harrowing experience she'd ever had. I went inside to finish the paperwork and by the time I was done the car was washed and the gas tank was filled. I will return there if I should decide to buy another or my next car.

    My daughter’s Miata suffered a fatal meltdown due to installation of a incorrect oil filter by an oil change business, and service manager Rich Cook was fantastic in diagnosing the error & providing a narrated video that the oil change business could not refute. Rich also expedited delivery of a new engine & coordinated payment by the oil change folks. Our experience couldn’t have been better and if I buy a new car it will be from Five Star Mazda even though I live 11 hours away in naples Florida. Thanks Rich!

She was so attentive and knowledgeable about the new CX5 and gave the most thorough explanation of all the wonderful technology it has to offer.     My experience was a positive one I was visiting out of town . I thought the staff was polite and helpful. They did a great job ensuring that the car I would be driving for a road trip was in great condition. My wait time was reasonable overall great experience. The one difference that I did experience if I compared this location to a dealer location in my state was there was no inspection video but I do realize every location is different.

    Very pleased with the experience. My salesman was knowledgeable and worked with me as best as he could. My old car died and they were there to help me with a new car. The only reason for the 4 star was the detail of the new car could have been more thorough because upon delivery there was almost no coolant in the car and when I arrived home I had to go buy some to fill it up

    Just like the name , I give them 5 stars ! Mrs. Josie Gordon was an excellent sales lady ! She greeted me and my family ( with hot chocolate lol) and made us totally comfortable ! She explained everything to me and didn't overwhelm me with anything. I ended up leaving with a better car than the one I wanted and got it for a great deal !     We had an excellent experience with 5 Star and our salesman Rico Wilson. We went in to look at a specific vehicle, did a test drive and decided that wasn’t the one for us. Mr. Wilson then sat down with us and helped us look for other options based on what we wanted in a vehicle. We came back the next day to test drive another vehicle, and decided that wasn’t for us either. Then we asked to drive another vehicle on the lot. Mr. Wilson was patient and very accommodating. As soon as we got into this vehicle for a test drive, we knew it was the one for us. However, wanting to take our time and make sure we had all of our finances in order, we let Mr. Wilson know that we were interested, and would get back with him by the end of the week. At no point were we ever pushed to make the deal, or move faster than we wanted to. Once a day we would receive a very polite text from Mr. Wilson, just checking in and letting us know he was there for us when we were ready. We went back on Friday and purchased the vehicle. This was by far the smoothest, and easiest car purchase we have ever made. We would recommend 5 Star, Rico Wilson, and the 5 Star staff to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.     I purchased my 2016 Mazda3 here with the help of David Richardson, who made this a very pleasant experience. I have been using the Service Dept since then, and Rich Cook, the manager, and his tech staff, have made keeping my car in great working order, a joy! I love bringing in my car and the staff makes sure my wait time is pleasant. Definitely a great place to do business with!

    My experience with Five Star Mazda was excellent. Dorothy Lamar and Kyle Horton were great, they offered me a good deal right out of the gate and even continued to beat any other offers from other dealers out of the water. They were also very hospitable to me and my family. My wife and I have a 6 year old and a 3 week old new born. So their ability to keep them entertained and still do business with us was incredible, especially with all the COVID stuff going on. I've gone through the process of buying 4 different cars and this was easily the smoothest purchase despite all the road bumps we ran into with my insurance and registration needing to be switched to GA from NC also. I would highly recommend anyone to give them a call if you want to get a competitive quote without a hassle!

    Ms. Dorothy Lamar helped us with our purchase of a Dodge Challenger. This transaction was the SMOOTHEST I have ever experienced...and I am pretty experienced with car buying transactions! We visited Ms. Dorothy on a Monday night for a test drive. We went home to discuss and called her Tuesday morning to let her know we would be buying the car. Tuesday night, Ms. Dorothy had the car ready for us, along with all the paperwork when we walked in the door to purchase. From start to finish, it was less than an hour.     The entire experience was a pleasure and I ended up purchasing a new Jeep after I was offered near-KBB amount for my trade-in. All went well and Victoria was amazing.     My Mazda CX-5 had a sudden service requirement and was not driveable to the dealership. It was towed immediately to Five Star in Macon. Mr. Cook notified me that afternoon that they had received my car and would diagnose the problem asap. I received a call the next day that my car needed a part that had to be shipped in from Atlanta. Communication about the repair and completion of the work was excellent. My Mazda runs so much better now!
